“It's a diner, so that's how I'm rating the food and atmosphere. Both are great, but obviously this isn't about being fancy.I expect diner food to be somewhere between passable and good; putting it was really good and there was plenty to eat. I hate till I was stuffed and my friend took food home.I'm vegetarian/vegan , so I had the tofu scramble. This was definitely solid. There was lots of tofu so I got my protein for the morning and a good variety of vegetables; I appreciate it tofu scramble that has some greens in it like spinach. I had Fried potatoes so that I would be able to try the house-made ketchup and it was excellent. I wish more restaurants would do this. It makes eating at different places so much more interesting. If you're down for diner eating, this is definitely one of the best if not the best place to go in Philly.Vegetarian options: Sure, it's a diner. If you want eggs or tofu, you're in luck. If your vegan, it's much more restricted.“
“Vegetarian options: Special vegan menu, with vegan soup optionKid-friendliness: We bring our kids frequently, and they have kids' menus and crayons, kids are more than welcome, and there's just enough noise that the kids don't have to sit still and be silent.“
“Me and my family eat here often, and they literally have the best food in town, I would even go as far to say it’s the best diner in south Jersey! The family that owns it are also so very kind, and personable!! They make you feel so welcome, like you’re apart of the family. And their customer service skills are very good as well. All around a wonderful establishment, if you haven’t tried them, it’s definitely a must!!“
“Best sushi around jersey not gonna lie. They are so nice and always inviting! Their food tastes so fresh and I’m always impressed, they never forget things and are EXTREMELY FAST with their orders. I even order custom rolls from them which in itself is incredible because I’m terrified of ordering things from most places like that. My favorite item is the shrimp tempura roll but I put cream cheese on it too. Also they never under sauce!!!“
“A Hidden Gem: Fantastic Food and Heartwarming AtmosphereDuring a recent road trip, my brother and I stumbled upon the Piston Diner, and what a delightful find it was! From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with the comforting aroma of home-cooked meals. The food at Piston diner was simply outstanding, some of the best we've had in a long time. Each dish was bursting with flavor and made with obvious care and attention to detail. From classic diner staples to mouthwatering specialties, every bite was a taste of culinary perfection. Our server was exceptional, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our meal. Their warmth and professionalism added to the overall positive experience. It truly felt like dining among friends, thanks to the camaraderie and genuine hospitality present in the atmosphere. One aspect that stood out to us was the unmistakable sense of family at piston diner. From the way the staff interacted with each other to the comforting ambiance, it was evident that this establishment is more than just a place to eat - it's a community hub where patrons are treated like extended family.Furthermore, we were deeply touched by the diner's evident respect and appreciation for the military. It's heartening to see a business that honors those who serve our country, and it speaks volumes about the values upheld at Piston diner. If we lived in the area, Piston diner would undoubtedly become a regular haunt for our family. It's the kind of place where you feel at home from the moment you walk in, and where the combination of delicious food and heartfelt hospitality keeps you coming back for more.In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Piston diner to anyone passing through or residing in the area. Whether you're craving a hearty meal, a friendly atmosphere, or simply a sense of belonging, this diner exceeds expectations on all fronts.Cheers to Piston diner for an unforgettable dining experience - we'll definitely be back! Side note: there was one employee that was working the front who was an older gentleman that was pretty crabby with the employees for the duration of the time I was there and seemed to effect work place morale negatively.“
“The food is great and the service is awesome. The owner and his wife are very nice people. Also I live her flower garden. Thank You once again for the wonderful services and the awesome ? food.Wheelchair accessibility: Very much wheelchair ♿️ assistance“
“Had not been here in many years since Nikki use to be our waitress and her mother was hostess manager who always made strawberry milkshake for my daughter.....fast forward we came in were promptly seated in back room which I was happy about less crowded, older lady seating us asked what we wanted to drink and said our server Jacob would be over in a minute. She brought our drinks and he promptly arrived, greeted us and answered our questions and took our order. Soup was hot and delicious and the bread was fresh and butter not melted and refrozen like many places recycle customers bread and butter. Food arrived hot, juicy, nice size portions reasonable prices. Jacob kept checking back on us, he was prompt to get refills and ask if we needed anything When came time for deserts our first two choices he came back and said manager said they were old and would not serve, A+ for honesty. Only problem was older man on register seemed to be unsure having problem with credit card... Everything was so good.We came back again asked for Jacob but this time we were sat out front. Right from get go it seemed different, the older guy that had problem with credit card seemed to be a bother seating us, seemed unsure who was working what tables.Jacob was prompt and friendly and food and service were great in fact my meal was filling which for me is a rarity. I did force myself to get desert because they looked so good and it was to die for and worth the price. My complaints for second visit All stem from the other staff: first there were three Hispanic employees 2 females wearing masks under their chins (which makes you look like idiots) who seemed sick yet were not wearing masks properly and were wrapping the silverware and Spanish guy with mop all hanging out front jabbering in Spanish the whole time (this is very disrespectful in my opinion), and the other problem is the waitress who was constantly bitching and complaining about the time and 1 hr left and customers coming in before closing and about other employees that did something she didn't like.....I don't want to hear staff drama, see goofing off and I don't want to hear all this foreign jabbering this is America speak English!! When you do that you give the appearance that you are talking about people and or don't want them to know what you are saying. It's very shady and sneaky and good way to loose customers. Keep that nonsense in the back of the house!“
“Colonial is my go to . I have a favorite waitress , her name is Marissa . She always jokes and says “the only thing that makes us a diner is the word diner in our name “. And she is right . Marissa always has awesome recommendations . She recommended the salmon Mediterranean and that is now one of my favorites also . The blue cheese dressing Marissa said is made in house and that is awesome too ! I’m not even vegan but the vegan options here are so good that I eat them too !“
“I love this place. I brunch here often and get the crab cake benedict. Today I had a slice of fresh baked apple pie that was just delicious. The service is always friendly and the food is consistent good. You must try the cream of chicken soup.“
“This place was highly recommended from south jersey food scene and it did not disappoint ? Our waitress (Gianna) was awesome never had to ask for a refill she was on top of it all, food came out perfect timing.Food was epic, 3 full entrées , 2 soups , 2 salads , 3 deserts & coffees for 85$ can't beat that anywhere.10/101hr + Drive from me, but it was well worth it.Will be back!Vegetarian options: You can sub the burgers for turkey or beyond and they even have bison!Parking: Plenty of parking“
“Incredible brunch! The portions are large compared to the price and so tasty. The vibe is so fun, both in the garden and in the diner. The garden area is covered and heated so it’s great in the winter!Dietary restrictions: One vegan egg option and severa vegetarian optionsParking: Lots of free parking along spring garden street.“
“Everything here is made with love and man oh man can you taste that love. Best rye toast around. Sweetest service. I'm obsessed. Price are excellent and everything I've tried here has been delicious.Parking: Parking in the back is a bit hidden but it's there.“
“Prices were good and the food was excellentThe atmosphere and our waitress was so friendly and kind.We even met a total stranger and you would have thought we known each other for yearsWe blessed each other with our presenceSharing our lives and spending time with each other on this Easter Eve.As I departed from her I said to her we will meet again at this restaurantThen I wished her a Happy Easter ??Kid-friendliness: The kids loved the food“
“For us, this is the “Year of the Diner” and the Mayfair did not disappoint. It is a large diner with the usual diner fare. Our waitress was great! Friendly and accommodating to our requests. The food was good, served quickly. The shredded potatoes with crunchy edges were a surprise. The diner is accessible, with wide isles, plenty of open tables and roomy booths. The staff sang happy birthday to a 5 year old behind us. Very sweet. Lots of families. The spaces in the parking lot are on the small side, so cars are very close to each other, making it difficult to get in/out of the car doors. There is also street parking right in front of the diner.“
“Had been here before and it was good food and service. But today not so much. Had breakfast the sausage was dry and tasted old, the bacon had no taste and the potatoes were dry and had no taste even with salt and pepper on it. And the waitress was miserable -not nasty just miserable. Don't know if we will go back or not. Will definitely have to think about it.Parking: Large parking lot no problem finding a spot.“
“This was my first time ever at the Pop Shop and what an incredible experience! I decided to take my boyfriend and parents for Superbowl Sunday, and we had such a wonderful time. The service was excellent, the food delicious, and the atmosphere is so nostalgic. We all had the Valentine's Sweetheart menu, and I absolutely loved the vegan mushroom burger. You also have to get their pretzel chips! Definitely coming back.Parking: I parked behind the stores near the PATCO station and parking was really easy. I paid 50 cents an hour, but if you want to park closer to the high speed line entrance, parking is usually free.“
“Food was good atmosphere was nice. Only issue i had was the waitress brought us boxes to go. However i was sitting there for like 10m waiting for her to deliver the check. Not sure if she thought she had given one or just forgot about us. She was nice when i delt with her and overall was a pleasant experience.“
“I absolutely love Liberty Bell Diner . It’s clean , the food is delicious & the staff is very friendly. They go over & above with their serviceParking: Plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: There are options for children for breakfast , lunch & dinner“
“I'm new to this.. So please forgive me... After entering this amazing restaurant I felt so loved and happy the people and staff are so loving!!!. I'm so happy that I tried then out and the food and experience is AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL ❤️ a great gem ?!“
“Kitty's is an awesome local breakfast spot. I ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches and scrapple on the side. The food is homey, delicious, and reasonably priced. Note that Kitty's is cash only. My only complaint (-1 star) is the overuse of styrofoam which is much worse than plastic.“
“Love this place I go all the times it's by my job. The people have made welcome since the first time I went and now they actually know my name that's important to me cause now a days u go somewhere and the people seem mad u there.lol I would suggest this place to everyone.“
“I’ve been going there for the past three years the food there and the breakfast is delicious. The people are real friendly. It’s a good place to go to with the family. I definitely recommend it to other people.Kid-friendliness: They interact with the kids speak very nice. Specially the gentleman that works here the tall guy. I forgot his name but he’s still unblock. Very nice guy.“
“Champs is always a good stop for any good breakfast/lunch options. I've gotten their philly steak Dankwich, which at first didn't really love love, but the last times it's been amazing! Can specifically say their red velvet pancakes are the perfect sweet treat. Amazing customer service, you can tell people love this place and what they do (I wish I caught the guy's name, but he's always super helpful with any delivery orders and is absolutely hilarious!). It's not an eat-in restaurant, and the waiting area is pretty small but luckily you won't be there for very long because everything is pretty quick. Cecil B Moore is lucky to have Champs!“
“They have: Johnny Shoester the best waiter in the City. Notices what you need & like a magician it's on its way to the table. He handled a table of 10 of us grumpy/tired Mummers a day after the parade. Smooth as flowing water...not a bump in service. The Best.Dietary restrictions: They have every meal you can think of: Steak to Eggs/Salads, they cover in all.“
“Nice small diner. The food was good. Service was quick. Found out kids eat free on certain days, so if you have kids, definitely look into going on the kids free day & will save a good amount.Kid-friendliness: Certain day of week kids eat free“
“First time visit... Service was prompt and food came out quick just as I expected from other review pics... Staff was on the quiet side, but that may have just been the lull between lunch and dinner rush. Overall, very happy with my experience.“
“Absolutely the best diner I've been to in quite some time. They locally source all their ingredients from local farmers so you can be sure the food is all fresh and their chef hes turned the menu into a true delight where the knowledgeable staff will always encourage you "try something new! You'll find everything is delicious" and they are not wrong!“
