“Despite their name, Texas wiener spiced chili dogs are a New Jersey fast food staple, and few if any places are more synonymous with the Texas wiener than the Hot Grill in Clifton, NJ. Overall, it’s the second best chili dog of any kind I’ve had after my beloved Hiram’s in Fort Lee. Obviously Texas wiener style chili is more of a spicy sauce, Hot Grill’s sauce has excellent flavor, almost curry like. Hiram’s and Rutt’s Hutt use a more a traditional meaty chili, which is my personal preference, but to each their own. The customer service was kind and welcoming. Vintage Americana fast food atmosphere and very spacious. Their Burgers, especially if you put the their Texas Wiener sauce on it, is also one of the better fast food/diner style burgers I’ve had in a while. Overall, well worth the trip from Budd Lake.“
“I was hyped when I discovered this spot while searching around the area for lunch. Now I don't have to drive all the way to East Rutherford for my pretzel fix. lol(Cinnamon pretzel bites with butter cream dip is a must go to! --- if you're like me, have it with your favorite iced coffee)“
“You can’t really go wrong with hotdogs, nachos, and granita. This meal was nostalgic, boiled, not fried, hotdog is my preference. Topped with relish and ketchup. Yum…But the granita stole the limelight. I had their lemon granita and it was so good and consistency was on point.“
“The service, food, and atmosphere were all amazing! I was a little hesitant at first to try a Korean Corn Dog coated in sugar, but it was actually pretty good! My little sister forgot her bubble tea (really good by the way) where we were sitting and one of the staff brought it out to us as we were leaving. Overall it was a wonderful and delightful experience and I highly recommend this place!“
“Very tasty hotdogs, they air fry till they’re a lot easier to digest and they remain crispy and the bread does not get soggy. I was fortunate to have met the owner, he was a very nice guy and he was kind enough to give me a tour of the facility. Definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be returning here soonKid-friendliness: The kids will enjoy the Ice Cream served here“
“There's so many amazing things to say about this place right off the bat! The first thing I'm going to say is the atmosphere you walk in and you feel the family and friendly love. The second thing you see is the creativity in the food and the smell just coming from the kitchen. I got to say the food is amazing. The customer service is terrific. The creativity in the food. The design setup in the building I mean all around five star!“
“Pretty cool concept to have donuts, ice cream, burgers, dogs and fries together. The donuts are like Duck donuts, nothing special. The smashburgers were pretty good, the shakes were really good, and the monster fries were good. The fries could have less special sauce on them. The straws for the shakes don't work well and should be upgraded to a boba type straw because there's chunks of goodness that clog the smaller straws. Seating is limited, everything comes out at different times, parking is tough because it's Hoboken no fault of the business, and it is kiosk ordering which slows the process up. Definitely worth trying. They have only been open a couple months so I'm sure they will work the kinks out.“
“Love this cozy corny spot for hotdogs! The ppl are greet and the service is superb. ?? It's an easy place to get to from the highway or the back roads. Definitely coming bk for more sauerkraut on my dogs. You'd be surprised how many places don't sell it. The Specialties are unique & delicious!!! Yum. ?Parking: Front and the side street from the corner. ??“
“As someone who frequented both the old and new ownership of Devil Dogs, I can confidently say that the recent changes have been nothing short of remarkable. Under the new ownership, this walk-up hot dog joint has undergone a significant transformation, both in terms of service and menu offerings. The enthusiasm of the new owner is palpable, and their eagerness to please customers is evident from the moment you step up to the counter. The service is quick, efficient, and genuinely friendly. It's clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority for them. But the improvements don't stop there. The menu has been revamped, offering a wider variety of options that cater to different tastes and preferences. Whether you're in the mood for a classic chili cheese dog or something more adventurous like a pb&j -topped creation, Devil Dogs has you covered. One of the most refreshing aspects of Devil Dogs is its commitment to staying true to its roots while also embracing innovation. Despite the upgrades, it still retains the charm and simplicity of a classic hot dog joint, making it the perfect spot for a quick bite on the go.And let's not forget about their social media presence. With a good presence on TikTok, Devil Dogs is not only keeping up with the times but also engaging with a younger audience in a fun and interactive way.Overall, Devil Dogs is a shining example of how a beloved local establishment can evolve and thrive under new ownership. I'm thrilled to see that it's still around, and I can't wait to see what delicious creations they come up with next.“
“Come on it's Rutt's Hut truly what am I even doing here to convince you that an institution of north jersey is worth going to. Action Bronson's show F*** That's Delicious went and absolutely loved it. It's a classic bar style ordering that hasn't changed since they started cause they don't need to. As my mom always used to say, "Adam and eve on a raft, wreck em"“
