“I called keremo cakes with a last minute request to make a custom cake for my wife’s birthday. They had the cake ready in one day and we couldn’t be happier. I sent them a picture of what I was looking for and they made it even better than the picture!“

“I came here on a Sunday afternoon to work. It's a small place, so there are not many tables, but they have WiFi and outlets. The cafe is covered in real plants. The servers were kind and friendly and you could tell the barista was passionate about the art of coffee. The food and drinks were great: * Matcha Yuzu - 10/10 - The matcha flavor is not strong and earthy, so it's perfect for non matcha lovers. The yuzu syrup adds a nice brightness of flavor, and the addition of the sparkling water makes the drink extra refreshing. I saw the barista hand whip the matcha too. * Cortado - 8/10 - I'm not a coffee drinker, so take this review with a grain of salt. This drink is pretty strong since it's equal parts espresso and milk, but I liked the flavor of the beans. * Chocolate Croissant - 8.5/10 - The pastry was buttery, flakey and light. I wish there was a bit more chocolate tho because only 1/3 of the bites had chocolate. Overall, I would definitely come again for the vibes and food. I want to try their hot food options next time.“

Kenji Lopez-Alt raves about this spot, so it was a must-visit during my stay from Orange County. My boyfriend and I got: Blueberry Cream Cheese on Egg Bagel $5.50 | Bacon & Eggs on Everything Bagel $6.95 Cheese +50¢ | Toasted +10¢ Each. Both were amazing, couldn't pick a favorite. I'm a bit ashamed to say that all the many times I've visited New York, this was my first time trying NY bagels from the place itself. Their bagels have a thin, shiny, crackly crust. When you bite into it, it's dense and chewy but tender and easy to bite through, the perfect texture. The Egg Bagel was amazing and Blueberry Cream Cheese was rich and fruity. The Everything Bagel was a flavor bomb with its malty base and generous toppings. The bacon, eggs and cheese inside complemented the bagel well. These might be some of the best eggs I've ever had, never seen something like this inside a bagel or sandwich before. They're possibly scrambled and then baked or steamed, which reminded me of Korean steamed eggs (gyeran-jjim). I learned that a quality bagel shouldn't need toasting; its freshness should ensure crispness and chewiness. Next time, I'll resist the urge to toast and enjoy them in their pure form. The bagels are huge, I saved half for the next day, while my boyfriend managed to devour his in one go. These are better than any bagel I've ever had in Socal, but maybe I haven't had that many. The only other bagel I had time to try was Bagel co in North Bergen, NJ and these were so much better. I wish I could find bagels like these in LA OC. Though I didn't spot any specific sustainability practices or see mention of them, I hope Absolute Bagels considers eco-friendly initiatives in the future. They're located on a main busy street in Manhattan Valley, Upper West Side. I took the train and walked a few blocks to get here. If you drive here, I'm not too sure about parking but looks like there's just paid metered street parking. The interior is casual, no-frills, small, no inside or outside seating, just a grab-and-go type of spot, a hole in the wall. Service efficient, albeit minimal. Being cash-only, there's a Chase Bank nearby for convenience. I came on a Saturday around 10:30 AM and was surprised by the short wait time, only 15 minutes. They open early for the breakfast crowd. Prices are reasonable, especially given the quality and big portions.“

Seriously I’ve had a lot of burgers in my life and burgers happen to be my favorite food but this all American cheeseburger from @cake_burgers has to be one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. It’s kind of far from where we live but no one can stop us from eating.We were satisfied with their line up. We got their Plain Croissant, Caramelized Croissant, Pecan Sticky Bun and Savory Biscuit as first try. The portion was great with reasonable price.Our favorite was the Pecan Sticky Bunwhich was satisfying with soft and rich texture. Their croissant wasn’t our type but it’s still worth a visit.“

I did a quick Yelp search and stumbled across Marimba Cafe - the new name caught my eye and the aesthetics and offerings here solidified my decision. I don't think I've ever come across a sit down Latin cafe here in Bergen County so to me, since moving away, it's the first of its kind. Also first of its kind to proudly offer CBD infused menu items. I believe they just opened in November! The vibes in here are immaculate. My favorite feature is the stone floor - it just transports you somewhere new! The color scheme in here is also appealing, and the Latin music made me want to dance while I took on meetings haha. Overall, really solid branding and concept. Since I was working west coast hours, I spent the whole afternoon into close here. It's a really great place to work as there were other people working remote. They have comfortable seating and outlets conveniently located along the booth. I will say though that the booth seating was just a tad too high for the table so it took some time getting used to. Also, they do play the music fairly loud (a must) in here so it can be a tad distracting if you're taking meetings and have to speak. Since I stayed here for over 5 hours, I was able to observe the sense of community Marimba has fostered - they greet customers like friends! I also saw on their Instagram that they host community events like paint nights and dance nights and support other local businesses with their La Placita Sundays. I love everything this business is about. I ordered the coquito latte hot and a pan de bono. The latte was solid and I wish the pan de bono was just a bit bigger! I would love to try more here. Congrats to the owners of Marimba, I wish the cafe tons of business and success! I definitely want to visit again when I'm back in town.“

“I highly recommend Goldelicious Cakes for custom cakes and cupcakes. Not only is Jennifer so skilled at baking, she is also thoughtful, friendly, and super easy to communicate with. For my son’s first birthday, she helped create the most memorable orange cake with coordinating cupcakes. Pick-up was easy breezy and the packaging was great and kept the baked goods perfectly in place for the hour drive back home. Jennifer’s creations were such a hit with our friends and family. The regular grocery items are a little pricey compared to places like Costco, BJ’s and Walmart. I don’t like that they make you go all the way around the different isles, probably to make you buy things you were looking to buy. That makes me waste time when I’m in a hurry. They have a big parking lot with plenty of empty spaces every time. They also have a nice selection of flowers at good prices when compared to a regular flower shop, but more expensive than Trader Joe’s.“

That being said I love the empanadas at Los Andes are delicious. They have a good variety of other dishes as well.The establishment is tight so a visit with a group larger than 3 is not recommended. What i do recommend is taking a box of empanadas to go. They taste even better warmed up.Besides the empanada I had the fully loaded Chilean hot dog. The hot dog was a bit thin, but the combinations atop the hot dog were delicious. Also, they make a great cup of coffee.I make a trip to Los Andes every year for the Halloween parade with a sporadic viskt when I get a craving. “This place is the best. Good quality coffee and nice baristas. Lots of parking... Only complaint: they take so long. If you're in a rush, don't come here. If you get stuck behind even 3-4 people in line - you will be waiting for your coffee for a while. it would also be one thing if the Barista's's were working extremely quickly, but they take their sweet time and are basically in slow motion / don't really seem to care at all that there's a line out the door of people waiting. I called Allie's Bakery, and they had EXACTLY what I wanted! I ordered the cake, and my husband and daughter went to pick it up. When they got home, I was delighted to see that even though it was small, Allie's had neatly and carefully written Happy Birthday with my name across the top, and the whole family agreed it was delicious.
