“The ambiance is awesome! I highly recommend Hanami Restaurant in Cresskill. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic! Special thanks to Apple, Danny, Jeff, and Bing ( sushi chefs ) . Never been disappointed as we come and dine three times a week.“
“Ordered take out during covid - the only option they offer. Phone calls can be made after 2:00p, but I couldn't get a hold of someone until closer to 2:30p. Even for take out, their sushi continues to be of epic quality, and small quantity. It's a quality over quantity type of place, and when it comes to sushi quality wins. Absolutely without a doubt, plan on getting the sushi omekase. The quality of the sushi is beyond anything that they will offer in their regular sushi and sashimi entrees, which admittedly I order with the omekase since the portions are small. For four and a half (child) ppl, I ordered: 3 sushi omekase 1 unaju (eel on rice) 1 sushi/sashimi combo 1 sashimi entree Nabeyaki udon - which only came with one fried shrimp and sadly they had already mixed the noodles in the broth so by the time I got home most of the broth was soaked in by the mushy noodles. Note -- let them know you absolutely want the noodles packed separately. We also received a bowl of rice, 6 miso soups, and 6 small salads, which was essential a handful of romaine lettuce. Their heavy use of styrofoam was disappointing, but otherwise a solid take out meal.“
“We had a great anniversary. We got the 12 piece + 2 hand roll omakase set for $53. The fish was super fresh and the whole meal was about 45min. There’s about 12-15 seats at the counter, so if you want to guarantee seating book a reservation. It was absolutely worth every “
“Good sushi, good place, good people. They have a very cute decoration and a kid-friendly menu, too. One of the best sushi places in North Jersey.Kid-friendliness: The choo choo train that carries the plates is a big attraction for kids. The owners communicate so well with kids. They make cotton candy in front of kids and with them. And they have many options for picky kids. My 7 year-old daughter loved everything about this place.“
“Yesterday was our first visit to the Osaka Sushi Restaurant, today is our second visit. We came to the Osaka Sushi restaurant from Las Vegas to New Jersey on a trip. Their business is very good, We saw a lot of peoples eating sushi here when we be there. the owner of a warm reception for us, we came for the first time, gave us a lot of good recommendations, food is very fresh. The service is very good, the atmosphere is very good, we see someone's birthday, we are very happy. We'll be back!“
“This is our second time here. We thought about it all week and had to come back here. We don't always repeat restaurants because there are so many try, but we will definitely keep coming back. We got the crispy rice with tuna, the Hakkaido roll, the chase roll, and the passion roll (wow). This is by far one of our favorite restaurants. The staff are great too.“
“1. Fish quality is good. Tuna could be better at least the day I went.2. Signature Futomaki is my pick on this place.3. Karaage (Japanese Fried Chicken) is ok, but I would not order this again. Cooked well but not real Japanese style.4. It’s BYOB so make sure to bring your favorite sake.5. Friday evening is busy so go early if you plan being there.“
“First time at Sushi Story - and it is amazing! I went in for lunch and asked the server for recommendations. After my ginger salad, she brought me Tuna Tataki, which was perfectly prepared and had a touch of smokiness. I couldn’t decide between Seared Salmon Sushi or the River Roll, so I ordered both. It was the best decision ever! The salmon was freshly prepared and melted in my mouth. The Spicy Tuna was delicious and had just a touch of kick, which complimented the richness of the fish. All dishes were fresh, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. The service was friendly, helpful, and courteous, by both the server and the chef, who checked on my satisfaction with the meal. The restaurant is small, with seven tables, and has a bustling take-out service. This is one place not to miss!Kid-friendliness: Welcoming to all agesWheelchair accessibility: Small facility, but easy access for people with limited mobility.“
“I love Anytime because the vibe is a bit more fancier than other regular pochas you would go to in Fort Lee or Palisades Park. The servers are always nice and attentive. The food is top notch. If you order the honey makgeolli (rice wine) the servers will slice up real honey and put it in your glass.“
“Had a late lunch here with a friend while visiting Cliffside Park. The service, food and atmosphere was good! I really enjoyed my time in this area. I will return when in the area again. I had the spicy ramen, spicy tuna rolls, hot tea and tempura fried ice cream for dessert ?“
“The staff were extremely accommodating and super sweet. And omg the food was to die for. So fresh and portions were amazing and the hand rolls and crispy sushi were also really good. Please try it out if you’re looking for an amazing experience! The best sushi in town!“
“Amazing poke bowl!! So so good! I’ve been going here for a little over a year. They have a lot of options, they’re super quick and clean!! The poke bowls taste fresh and delicious, I order brown rice with the salmon and they give good portions for a good price!Dietary restrictions: They offer variations of every product and it is build your own.“
“A cute mom-and-pop roll house located in the main downtown area of Ridgefield Park. It is a true hidden gem for takeout and delivery! The owners here are very friendly and welcoming, offering heartfelt hospitality with every visit. With various roll options to choose from (my favorite/recommendation is Chloe roll, Volcano roll, Fire Fight roll, Dragon roll), they offer convenient service, and amazingly tasty beverages such as bubble tea & iced tea to enjoy with the food. Highly recommended for anyone looking to grab a quick bite or enjoy a fancy dinner :)“
“I am very impressed with this restaurant. It’s not big, but it’s very comfortable. The lighting is just right, the music is not loud but more than anything. The sushi is delicious. The rice is perfectly cooked and the rolls are very good. Seaweed salad was great. No fishy smell or liquidy after taste. I also love the presentation. Came in these really cute wooden boats.Parking: Must try! Very good sushi rolls. Nice Waitress too“
“I have never had a better pork Katsu in my life! My friend offered to take me here and I had no idea what a treat this was. I had to take one home for my son. When I say the pork was still crispy when I got home 20mins later! Perfection and can't wait to go back!“
“Easily the best sushi experience I’ve ever had and I will be returning. Servers were so attentive and also knowledgeable about everything I was being served. Great portions, flavors and everything was as fresh as can be. Came for lunch and will be returning for dinner with a bigger party.“
“My partner and I go here as a regular. The shrimp spring rolls with the sauce is great. The inside service is always good. There music and conversation but usually not overly loud. The take out has been late on occasions which means more than an hour in this case. Other wise love it.“
“Daysi was the perfect host. She was very attentive and friendly. This was my first visit to Bless up and it was a great experience. Food is good, atmosphere is chill and the happy hour hits every time. I'm going to post my review on tiktokDietary restrictions: Seafood allergies“
“Oh, my!! Dumplings are melt in your mouth, hot and another order, please The Angry Dragon sushi tamed our appetites, The Ramen noodle soup...is very creamy and delicious...just when we thought we couldn't eat another bite,,,, our server, Sophia offered dessert, we couldn't decide ,when she brought our mango passion fruit sorbet she kindly brought her favorite Lemoncello on her, , let me say the Fantastic food, great atmosphere were only enhanced by Sophia's calm and respectful service. We will be back!!!“
“My husband is on a Renal Diet and depressed because of it. We come to Kura, Fort Lee weekly. He can eat like he used to and thanks to the Sashimi options stay in target. It’s fun. And even if our adult daughter’s @empirestateofmurray can not come we bring g back prize balls. It’s a win-win. Shout out to Rossana!“
“Very nice sushi place. The taste is great, the quality and the atmosphere of the place is spot on. I tried it once on a whim and now it's my go-to sushi spot. If you love sushi, love trying some new menu items, and want a new go-to spot: I highly recommend this sushi restaurant.“
“I went to this place with my toddler today. Place was very clean and welcoming. Loved the food neat and fresh! My toddler loved udon and shrimp tempura roll. there is various choices for kids too. Not too salty nor sweet. The owner and the server was so nice to both of us and very friendly. Would definitely visit again!“
“Had omakase for my birthday with my wife recently and I was can 1000% say it was the best meal I have ever eaten in my 44 years. I spent 25 years in high end seafood, (wholesale, retail, private chef, and catering) and was blown away by the quality of the fish! The chef was masterful as he balanced every single course (in had the 16) to perfection. He was incredibly skilled and a wonderful artist. The selection of fish from Japan was amazing. He explained every course as he served us. This place is a gem. I have eaten at just about every single sushi restaurant around and on see no reason to go anywhere else anymore. The place is clean and beautiful, the owner and staff were friendly and very interactive. The preparation and care that went into everyone was second to none. If you enjoy the finest sushi, please don't hesitate and go! And the only way to go is omakase“
“I recently dined at Hawaiian Japanese Cuisine in Hastings-on-Hudson, and it was an absolute treat! From the moment I stepped in, the warm welcome from the owner set the tone for a truly delightful dining experience. The sushi was a standout, crafted authentically and to perfection, reflecting the genuine artistry and passion behind each dish. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, showcasing the high-quality ingredients and culinary skill. Not only was the food excellent, but it was also reasonably priced, offering great value for such top-notch cuisine. The service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable meal from start to finish.I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience with a friendly touch. It's a gem that truly stands out, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!“
“Food 10/10Crazy that their omakase set for takeout is only 60 dollars and the fish is flown in from Totsuya fish market. Incredibly generous servings and the quality of the fish is superb. I was in actual shock when I took the first bite. The rice is alright, but the star of the show is always the fish so it doesn’t really matter. So impressed by their supreme sushi and sashimi set. Better than some omakase spots in manhattan. So delicious and so close to home too I can’t wait to return.“
“Ordered take out and the restaurant looks clean with a nice calming atmosphere. we ordered the Rock n Roll , salmon avocado roll, black dragon roll , spider roll and some miso soup with kimchi gyoza. this was amazing! Great fresh flavors and was ready by pick up time! Highly recommend this place and will eat in next time !“
“Attentive service, Bottles of Sake & a mixed array of sushi! The first sushi restaurant that i been to serves Toro.Vegetarian options: They have vegetablesParking: Street parking and a parking lot across the streetKid-friendliness: It’s a kid friendly restaurant“
“Liza & Victor make delicious, fresh food with good attention to detail.I usually get half salad & half brown rice with 3 proteins - piled high with crisp veggies & fixings.I feel good & energetic after eating here.Portion sizes are pretty generous.Dietary restrictions: Good for pescatarian, halal, vegetarian, etc. dietary choices.“
“If I have to choose one Korean sushi/sashimi restaurant in NJ, then Bada Story Englewood Cliffs is the one. The staff are extremely well trained. The back of house staff knows a thing or two about culinary excellence. And the owner/executive chef has put together an awesome items in the menu.Bada Story’s dinner feast boasts the most extensive assortment of appetizing sashimi in the tristate area. No, it does not come cheap. But the quality of fish they bring out totally justifies the pricing. Even the side dishes (aka tskedashi) is consisted of noteworthy seafood items. Dessert - the seafood soup - is the only thing that’s disappointing, but you are probably 120% over your capacity by the time you get the soup. By the way, isn’t it funny that Koreans eat a bowl of rice and seafood soup for their dessert?Their lunch special is outstanding as well. Whenever I crave sashimi, but I don’t want to spend $250 for a meal, I go to Bada Story for their lunch special. Nicely priced, but not compromised in quality. When the warm drinking water is exceptionally tasty (aka seung-nyeung) you know you are at a well operated restaurant. Highly recommended.“
“Everything was delicious, we ordered Sushi and Hibachi, very nice show although at the time of the show and distributing the food the person who performs the show is a little careless because the food falls on all sides of the table but I suppose it is part of the show. The attention was very good always attentive to our needs. I liked the detail with the presentation of the sushi in addition to the very fresh flavor.“
“Oh. Em. Gee. I'm a sushi lover & I honestly feel like I never really had sushi until dining here. This is an experience on a whole other level. Quality trumps quantity here & it's worth every penny. Every bite melted in my mouth. Ambiance: A+. Service: A+. Food: A++“
“Lower the Sinatra music, Mike, play Kitaro instead! Also, pls add sukiyaki to the kitchen dishes. There is only one place in Hartsdale that offers a mediocre version, sadly...Food here is great, so is service. Any of the maki rolls, nigiri, etc., can't go wrong. The fish tank alone is worth the visit!“
“Located in Fort Lee, this is a small sushi restaurant mostly concentrated on takeouts rather than dine in. One must keep a close eye on the place as people can easily zoom past this location without realising. The service was pretty quick and the staff is friendly. The restaurant doesn't have much ambiance as I mentioned they are mostly a takeout place. I ordered a Bergenline roll, which is spicy tuna, rice roll, avocado, and prawn tempura. The sushi was really good and the wasabi too wasn't as spicy as I was expecting it to be.Overall a great local place to grab sushi and these people have reopened after a year, I would really request fellow readers to support this local business and help them grow!“
“For anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and delicious food this is place to go. First of all, the customer service is a unique experience. Instead of the staff checking up at random moments, they provide a button allowing you to call for assistance. As for the food, it was extremely tasteful and well balanced. We had wide variety of food including the shrimp tempura roll, seared beef roll, chicken kaarage, and the shrimp tempura undon soup. It was all delicious and came out at a good space. To anyone looking for a perfect anniversary spot, I highly recommend Kumade.“
“We had a wonderful Omakase experience with Chef Masa. He did surprise us with foods that were entirely new to us (like Sea Urchins). All the fish served were sourced from Japan and tasted like nothing we had before. The place was really hard to find because it was late evening and their front entrance is on a by-lane next to the back entrance of Kiky Jewelers.“
“This mom-and-pop hole in the wall sushi joint isn't aiming for Nobu, and that's part of its charm. With top-notch fish quality and surprisingly generous portion sizes, it's a unique experience. The large order, a feast for 5-6 adults, comes with an abundance of ginger, enough to start your own sushi joint.A friendly suggestion: pre-mixing the spicy tuna and salmon with their sauce, seasoned with Ichimi togarashi, could add an extra layer of flavor. Run by a mom and pop, this place exudes potential. I'll be back, perhaps on a quieter day, excited to delve deeper into what this unpretentious spot has to offer.“
“This is a real gem! Sooo happy to find such a good restaurant. You should go to this place and will never be disappointed, but will be amazed. I ordered 3 rolls - Hot Jenny roll, Christmas roll, and Viki hand roll. I strongly recommend all of these three - the taste was eye-opening (even more delicious than I could imagine in my life!) and I can tell this restaurant uses very fresh ingredients as well as doesn't cheap out on ingredients at all. I could feel the owner's and chef's honesty, professionalism, and kindness from the food and the service. I'm so excited to visit here again with my friends soon! My teenage boy said he'd like to give 11 out of 10 LOL ?Parking: Parking lot is behind restaurant.“
“I love how intimate the atmosphere is. We sat at the sushi bar and had Omakase, it was spectacular. The sushi was fresh, our chef’s display was exquisite. The staff was attentive but not too much. The best Sushi I’ve had in the area. Will definitely be “
“Incredible evening. The host and chef treated us like family. Every course was better than the last which seemed an impossible but wasn’t. Chef was attentive to each individual guest making sure we would enjoy every course. It is worth the drive ( we came 90 minutes ). Any meal with pyro gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me. Preparations I have never had before with the highest quality ingredients on the planet. Save up and get a reservation!“
“The place is the best place ever! It is the resturant that when my family wants Japanies it is the first place we will go to. I highlly recomend this place.Vegetarian options: I am vegeterian my self and I always get sushi and miso soup. The resturant has many options for everyone.“
“I recently ordered Combo A and it exceeded my expectations! It was incredibly generous in portion size, easily satisfying five people. The sashimi was delightfully fresh, accompanied by a great variety of delicious side dishes. The service was exceptional, contributing to an overall wonderful experience. We left feeling super satisfied and would highly recommend it!“
“I’ve ordered food for pickup a few times and was never disappointed. The fish is always fresh and the sushi is one of the best in the area without a doubt. It’s a small hole in the wall so it’s very easy to miss but PLEASE PLEASE GIVE IT A TRY!!“
“Everything you could ever want in a super awesome quality all you can eat sushi place. They’re always so nice and never get Khangri as we order in small batches but frequently, so we never waste food. You should too! They always seem happy to see us. Tip well. Sometimes I swear they must lose money on us.“
“Inside is very cute! They have bar seating or tables. Our waiter was very thorough and made great suggestions. Everything was fresh tasting and packed with flavor! We had several things from the menu including (not limited to) rock shrimp, kani salad, volcano roll. Everything was delicious!Parking: There’s a private parking lot behind the restaurant“
“What an absolutely fun and incredible experience. The restaurant is very lively, even on a Monday evening in the winter so you can imagine what it would be like in the summer months. A reservation is highly recommended, especially if you want seating at the grill but on off days you shouldn't have a problem with a walk in. Well depending on the group size. The menu is plentiful but simple, so many options to choose from and even good vegetarian options. The servers were very attentive, polite and friendly. The chef was extremely entertaining. You can tell he loves his job to the fullest. First he confirmed everyone's orders so he could prepare them properly and confirm and food allergies. Because I'm allergic to shrimp he cooked my steak first and served it so he could cook everything else without contaminating my food so that was very appreciative. He cooked with style, flair and a huge smile. The guests were very happy with the presentation and cooking. The price may seem high at first glance but you get what you pay for. I ordered the new York steak and it was served with grilled vegetables first then egg fried rice then noodles and then the protein cooked exactly how I wanted it. I was very happy with the overall experience and food and I highly recommend this place to anyone who has never been to a hibachi restaurant.“
“THE LOBSTER BOIL WITH CRAB LEGS LOBSTER TAILS AND PRAWN SHRIMP ? WAS EXCELLENT PRETTY FAR BUT WORTH IT YOU CAN ORDER AHEAD ? TRY THE SPICY IF YOU LIKE THAT OR CAJUN...GOOD PRICES NICE COZY SPOT. SEAFOOD AT ITS BEST ??Wheelchair accessibility: WHEELCHAIRS CAN COME IN AT STREET LEVEL“
“A clean poké joint tucked into the quiet stretch of Amsterdam Ave facing St. John the Divine. Prices are reasonable but you should definitely treat yo'self to the three-protein option as fish is doled out in war rations. They toss cubed fish with your salad greens and choice of mix-ins and sauce (at least for the salad option), which is great so you don't have sad, undressed salad at the bottom of your bowl. They'll add the minced, marinated fish on top if you choose one of those options. Unlimited mix-ins, toppings and crunchies (save for a few premium items) are free. Service is competent and efficient. Makes for a great healthy lunch option!“
“Allow me to extol the virtues of my recent dining experience at Raku Izakaya, an establishment that exquisitely marries culinary mastery with impeccable hospitality. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and sophistication, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening.Raku Izakaya's menu is a symphony of flavors, expertly curated to delight even the most discerning palate. Each dish presented an artful fusion of traditional Japanese techniques with contemporary flair, showcasing the chef's dedication to both tradition and innovation. From delicate sushi rolls bursting with freshness to robust izakaya-style small plates brimming with bold flavors, every bite was a revelation.Yet, it is not only the exceptional cuisine that distinguishes Raku Izakaya, but also the impeccable service and attention to detail. The staff exhibited a genuine passion for their craft, effortlessly guiding me through the menu and ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience exceeded expectations. As I reflect on my time at Raku Izakaya, I am filled with a sense of gratitude for having had the opportunity to partake in such an exceptional culinary journey. Without hesitation, I wholeheartedly recommend Raku Izakaya to anyone seeking an unparalleled dining experience that transcends mere sustenance to become a true culinary adventure.“
“What is this place doing in Tarrytown?! It's great food with a fun menu and atmosphere. I tried the umami bomb with the uni and the fish was all super fresh and delicious. Table also got gyoza and the dirty avocado - both which were great. Really good service and good music. Plus BYOB which is the best.“
“I would highly recommend anyone looking for a restaurant with delicious food and lively atmosphere. We recently dined at Jugemu that exudes a cozy and friendly atmosphere. The menu offered a delightful array of delicious Japanese dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors. I recommend to try fresh oysters here. It was creamy in texture and had an fresh splash of sea flavor that I can only describe as “yummy.” The sushi rolls, adorned with inventive combinations, marry tradition with innovation, leaving an indelible impression. What truly stood out was the impeccable service – attentive and friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend for a delightful Japanese culinary journey!“
