“The buffalo popcorn chicken poppers were delicious - though I'm not sure I'd call the sauce buffalo, it's more like a sweet and sour. The staff were helpful and patient, though the order retrieval system is far from ideal. Someone actually claimed my order before I could and no receipts were checked, so they got a free meal while I had to wait for it to be remade. More structure to the pickup would be a huge improvement, but having such a solid kosher option at the mall is great!“

“I'll keep this short and to the point: this is the best burrito I've had in the city hands down, and it's not close. Everything fresh and phenomenally seasoned, the lengua is succulent, the al pastor just the right spicy-sweet mix, I can't wait to try a few more meats. “If you grew up eating chicken over rice at halal carts in the city only to go vegan later in life you've experienced the extreme disappointment that comes with ordering falafel over rice without white sauce. It's a tragedy and a reason never to visit a halal cart again. Not at Sam's. Here the falafel is king and the platter is a shrine to the balls of chickpea. The sides and sauces all pack a punch of flavor and keep you coming back for more. The guys who work the cart are really sweet too. These falafels occupy a place in my heart.“

“Located north of Radio city hall, there seems to be a new competitor coming up for Adel's famous halal. This place is run by Afghans and they are really warm and welcoming people to their food truck also the service is quick while the food is served hot and fresh.After reading some reviews here, I opted for a chicken chapli kebab platter. Chapli kebab is basically a ethnic Pashtun dish from the border region of Afghanistan-Pakistan. The minced chicken was good while adding the right amount of spices to give a succulent taste, for the first time, I had cumin rice and it tasted good and was a welcome change from the regular saffron rice available elsewhere. These people provided fries alongside salad and topped it with white sauce which had the right amount of thickness while their mint sauce was a welcome addition to this. I don't usually go for the spicy sauce as I'm not a big fan of it.Overall it's a great experience to try something for the first time apart from halal guys and adel's. The big advantage of the food is that it lacks food coloring like adel's and whatever prepared is done in the right way while also the wait time is very less compared to adel's and halal guys.“

“When I find a gem, I share it! Yes, yes, yes! Hallelujah to good food! We were trying to find some tacos to eat before going home and I came across a little taco truck that I had to try! They have the pastor tacos in the traditional rotating-roster, and they were delish! I also had an elote ? with everything, and a tiny bit of the powder-picante was enough for me to get a kick of spice in my mouth that turned on all the right taste buds! The lady who took care of us was polite, fast, and so kind! I will definitely be back to try the other tacos they have!!“

“Venti is a great sandwich shop in JC. We used to get sandwiches from there back when they only had a food truck. Unsurprisingly, they've leveled up and have a brick and mortar location now. We usually get the chicken parm with vodka sauce and the spicy Italian sub. Can't go wrong with either!“

“I always hoped for an excellent yakatori spot near Hoboken - never would have guessed it would be a dedicated chef working over red hot coals in front of the Starbucks on Newark. Bless this man.I ordered 2 mushroom skewers & one chicken. Was VERY VERY good. Like, I haven't had skewers this good since hitting up that Michelin star Yakatori spot in the city (I do hope they still exist, its been a while).Admittedly, I've passed by him MANY times before making a purchase. I was always either on my way to a lunch with someone in the city or on my way back from one. This time, funnily enough, I was coming back from having handrolls at a nice place. You'd figure I'd be Japan'd out - nope - there was capacity and I had put it off long enough. Was very much worth it. “We ordered one Mediterranean veggie pita, which was very good, but it had too much dressing for my taste. It felt like eating a Mediterranean salad in a pita ? We also ordered the beef gyro, but when we arrived at Central Park to eat, we realized we got lamb instead of beef. Nevertheless, it was absolutely delicious. We would have preferred more tzatziki though on the gyro. Would definitely come back!“

“Someone should do a YouTube series blind tasting NYC halal carts; the “GOATs”, as the kids say, which includes Santa, all taste the same, and it’s a hot pile of meat. No one in their right mind would be able to tell the difference.It’s seasoned, portions are respectable, and menu is affordable. My combo gyro was $7.99, despite the menu stating $6.99. Not complaining, but Santa should probably update the sign to avoid any confusion.Friendly and quick service. You can find a very good cart like this anywhere in the city, and Santa Clause is one to check out if you’re by Union Square.“
