“When Claudia is crafting your sandwiches, you can rest assured that they'll be absolutely delightful. This place offers great value, reliability, and speed. Despite their efficiency, the food still retains that comforting homemade taste and feel. I wholeheartedly recommend it with a perfect score of 10/10!“
“Just had one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. As an Italian-American, self-proclaimed sandwich connoisseur from New York- totally vet this place. Try the Vicario's special sandwich! You won't be disappointed. Places like this don't exist anymore!“
“We've eaten here several times since the beginning of November. We are always greeted warmly by the owner, the waitstaff, and the enticing aroma of the food. My husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed every item we have ordered. I love the spiciness of the marinara sauce. Last night, I just remembered my leftover Rigato I men Penne. Thank goodness, I remembered before I got in the car. It was that goodness, I remembered my dinner for tonight! I experimented, which I rarely did, and shared the huge appetizer of stuffed artichoke with my husband, a healthy and perfectly seasoned choice. I told the owner I wish they had a less filling dessert selection, baking cookies! which most Italian restaurants do not. She said she planned to start cookies and add them to the menu. My husband has tried several of their homemade desserts and never leaves a crumb. We were not surprised to learn Al Dente has many regulars! The portions are large, and the pasta is boiled as long as it should be. We have brought friends there, and they felt the same way. We especially like that are never rushed. Finally, it is BYOB. -Bonnie Lieberman- Fair Lawn“
“Rice ball is pretty good. Nice flavor profile. Crispy outside. Tender rice inside. Some cheese with decent pull. It's $14 and much smaller than that price would lead you to believe. It's not worth $14. It's not worth $10. It's good but not nearly where they priced it good. Buy it if you're starving and absolutely NEED a meatball at that moment. Otherwise hard pass.“
“Terrific dinner with very reasonable prices, especially if you arrive between 1-6PM. The early bird dinner costs only $16. The price includes salad, appetizer , entree plus dessert and coffee. You must pay in cash to get this offer. Excellent food , good service, very friendly staff. I highly recommend.“
“This is a very good old school diner. I've been coming here for years. They are always courteous and the food is reliable. I was in the mood for grilled chicken with honey mustard on a roll. It wasn't on their menu as that but they were more than happy to make it for me. They have a number of daily specials and they are different all the time so you can be a regular without getting bored.“
“This location and pizza has always been good, the employees that work there try to make the most of it, they have been having new employees there too, so they are working hard to make their business/restaurant a success, so I don't get the negative reviews, they never give me any trouble...“
“Every New Yorker that leaves NY has the dilemma of finding a proper pizza spot. If you just moved from NY and still searching for delicious pizza - this is it. Love it. Crispy, hot, cheesy, absolutely perfect in every way. Everything was delicious. Veggie was so good WOW!! The person that helped us was kind and hospitable. We’ll be back weekly.“
“Excellent food and service. I am a visitor in NYC and was referred to the restaurant by friends who had all good things to say about their experience. We are so happy we went there for dinner. The duck was delicious. The pasta was delicious, the sauce was sooo good. We will be back again. Definitely would recommend this restaurant. As an added plus, Gabriele greets his customers, and that made it extra special when he checked in on our table.“
“we thoroughly enjoyed eating here! we were a group of 30 and they seated us in their outdoor patio. the owner pointed out which items on the menu are halal and was so accommodating for our group! the entire experience was smooth. service was fast and they were so friendly. i’m going to be a regular here!!!“
“You have to make a reservation and come here. The food was wonderful. Flavors amazing. Atmosphere very nice. Service super. Enjoyed all of it w my family. Meat lasagna was sweeter than our taste buds. Desserts, tira misu, creme Brule, pistachio tart, Nutella tart..all yum.“
“I cannot state enough just how delicious the food is here !!! Soooooooooo good !! Everything was full of soo much flavor and the steak had to have been one of the best cooked steaks I’ve ever had perfect temp and seasoning. It’s pretty inside and perfect to go for a date night the ambiance is nice. Definitely recommend this place“
“One of the best meals I’ve had in a VERY long time. Every dish was a 10. Exciting, innovative, yet still approachable and incredibly delicious. Still thinking about the seabass tartare and the mafaldine with king crab mmmmm. The team there is TOPS. They execute flawless fine dining service in a way that feels genuine, cool, calm and collected. Many many thanks to Whitney, Darnelle, Naomi and Josh. Already looking forward to my next visit.“
“My second time to Bad Roman and I was impressed once again by the food and the service. The decor is fun. It is always packed for dinner. The noise level is low. Every dish is terrific and I cannot wait to return. The filet mignon meatballs are the best ever! Khalil was a terrific servers and well as the rest of the staff.“
“A perfect dining experience from start to finish. Welcoming staff and expert service made this an unexpected treat. My husband and I started by sharing the special salad chock full of blueberries, blackberries, pomegranate and hazelnuts. For our entrees, he opted for the well prepared black bass special, I enjoyed the pappardelle with sausage ragu. We shared the fresh fruit pastry shell with gelato - a beautiful creation and the perfect way to end our meal. Such a lovely find - can't wait to return.“
“The place is very good, in a fairly normal neighborhood. The food is delicious and they were quick to serve us. Anthony was very kind to us and treated us great. The portions are very good, they give you tap water as soon as you sit down and the beer is cheap.Vegetarian options: They have vegan and vegetarian food and you can ask without problems and they will recommend you.Kid-friendliness: They let us enter with the children without problems and they have a children's menu“
“Not only is this place super delicious as a NY slice but their selection is outstanding along with everyone that works there. The manager Dawn is a sweetheart we’ve hit it off since me and my wife met her. Anyone looking for a great pie this is spot.“
“Amazing food and service! We ordered the beef nachos to share and I got the taco with steak and boy do they bless it with the portions! I was visiting and a friend brought me here so definitely would want to come back next time I’m around!“
“Amazing!!!! This place is for beautiful, delicious food with personalized service that will leave you with warm memories. We held a party and all the guests were praising food and all 19 members of our party chose different entree. Broad menu , delicious cocktails ( drinks were amazing - we were competing / challenging bar- and were so excited to receive beautiful composition of flavors). Big servings - enough to feed 2 people! They were very accommodating- they offered to open for our party an hour earlier - just for us to have some personal family time - WHO WOULD DO THAT!?! Once we walked in - we were offered to take off and hang our outwear. Warm welcome made us feel especially important! Only thought kept our servers away from us. They were on their toes above our table - and some moments were felt - they are reading my mind.Great for special occasions and beautiful food to have !! We all will definitely come back again!!!Thank you guys for memorable evening !!!!“
“Authentic Italian Experience in Hell's Kitchen! Aria in Hell's Kitchen is a hidden gem that transports you straight to Italy with its incredible food and cozy atmosphere. As someone who has spent time in Italy, dining here felt like being back in an Italian home enjoying a delicious homemade meal. Mark, the owner, adds a personal touch to the experience with his warm hospitality. The specialty menu is a must-try, showcasing the best of Italian cuisine. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Aria is definitely one of the best neighborhood places in the area. Highly recommend!“
“This place is fantastic!!! The pasta was to die for! The lamb pizza I’ve been thinking about since I’ve eaten it! The only hiccup was that they were short staffed in the kitchen so we were there for a very long time AND my husbands steak was over cooked. They did more than enough to make it right and were very apologetic. The place is very cute and homey inside. PLUS BYOB! We will be back again that’s for sure !“
“Old world styled service crafted for enjoyment & delivered to perfection. Superb Italian food w several preparations table-side. White table cloths & candles but not stuffy. We were lively and had a super memorable time. Table of 8. We will be back. Highly recommend East side location now on 46th street between 2 & 3. $$$“
“This place is unbelievable!!! My husband and i went for a quick lunch date and man, our only regret is that we hadn't tried it sooner. We got a salad, broccoli rabe, and the classic pizza to share. Everything was amazing. The pizza was like being back in Italy. We also got the nutella desert which should be illegal. Cannot wait to try our way through the menus. So happy to have this wonderful spot in the neighborhood.“
“I mean, what can I say? I sat at the bar, like a lonely weirdo, and the staff was amazing. Fun people, great food, great service, and every one of the staff members has a great backstory. I’m only here four nights, I’ll probably come back four times.“
“Very classy interior, old fashioned atmosphere. A bit more expensive than I would be comfortable with. Appetizers and main course were amazing. I had tuna tartare and Jumbo Shrimp Scampi, my husband had New York Strip Steak. It was so good, so delicious! And we decided to order some deserts. It was a mistake though! My Apple Strudel was absolutely different from what I had expected. My husband had a Lemon Sorbet, which had not any test at all and was too icy, it had not a smoothie texture at all. So we had been really disappointed with desert.“
“I’m always skeptical about restaurant in midtown but this is an excellent choice for my friend. And I . The ambiance is calm and gorgeous, beautiful photographs on wall. I love the way the menu lit up when you open it. There wine options is lovely and i totally enjoyed the beets starter. Not so crazy about my lamb chop but the lamb ragu pasta was delish.“
“Started with oysters , all 3 were delicious, cherry and chili were my favorite of the 3 . Highly recommend the caviar slides. Absolutely deliciousBacon was good. Very rich and best shared with 3+ people as it's very rich . Was delish and unique and very different. Got the sirloin steak as recommended by server and had the truffle butter which was so flavorful.Finished with the sticky toffee pudding which everyone should have the experience of tasting as it's perfection! Highly recommend. Server was amazing. Hostesses were very nice. I was alone and sometimes restaurants can be weird if you're by yourself and they were fantastic and made me feel super comfortable. Beginning to end was a great experience and I am glad I listened to my friends who recommend I come here!“
“I wish I had found Bella Trattoria sooner! My wife and I have been trying to find some 'go to' dinner spots since moving to the east coast, and I can confidently say we found a keeper. The atmosphere in the restaurant is perfect for a date night or a nice family outing and you'll absolutely find something on the menu for everyone. We started with the calamari fra diavolo and the sauce had the perfect amount of spice to it. The main course obviously had to be some pizza but we couldn't decide on one so we tried the veggie and the salsiccia. You guys...they were amazing! The crust was just right and there was plenty to take home for late night snacks. All I can say is I can't wait to go back“
“Ordered the Margarita after hearing they won a competition. I can definitely see why, the crust is crisp and thin with a focaccia-like texture. The sauce is light and flavorful with being to harsh. The cheese is everything it is hyped up to be. We will be back, perhaps sandwiches next time.“
“Excellent place that has been around for a while. They know good food, and have a great atmosphere. Personally, I think they have the best pizza in town. They have consistently good service that never disappoints, and everything on their menu is delicious and well worth the trip here.Parking: The parking could be better, but they do have a valet on site that takes care of all of that.“
“Visiting Grumpys for the Pizza Hunters App and was not disappointed. Parking can be tricky. There are only 4 parking spots behind the Pizzeria..I wound up parking across the street and patronizing the Deli as well in the process. I didn't even get all the way inside the door and was greeted immediately with a Hello, Welcome and How are You. Service was excellent and the price point was excellent. A lot of great Pizza for your money. It took me a little to find the words for this Pizza. The Crispy crust is definitely the highlight. Followed by the Sauce and Cheese. Really, the pizza has its own unique style and delivery. It all works. At one point, I thought maybe a little more sauce, since i am a big fan, but once it hits your taste Buds, you realize that it all works perfectly together and that's what makes it unique as a Grumpys Pizza. I give it 5 Pie Ya's.. pie ya, pie ya. Pie ya. Pie ya. Pie ya. I will definitely be back again. Great Job Grumpys..I have to Pizza aside, your Customer Service is top notch as well.“
“Delicious food and pleasant atmosphere. I really enjoyed the appetizers and main entree, it was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and caring. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I’m looking forward to returning soon.“
“Post theatre favorite! We had the charcuterie board and artichokes to start followed by swordfish, rigatoni bolognese and a penne with a bit of spice that was delicious. What I especially love is the charming atmosphere and the ability to order decent house wine by the liter served in a pitcher as is done in Italy. A very nice touch. We shared an olive oil cake to have a bite of something delicious and sweet to end our meal. I always come back here and am never disappointed.“
“My family enjoyed the most amazing Italian dinner. Prior to seeing Ibsen's 'Enemy of the People' at the Circle in the Square Theatre, my siblings & parents (a party of 8) experienced delicious, authentic Italian cuisine.Wonderful service (our waiter was the best), atmosphere & attention to our every request.Every bite was Italian 'comfort' food at its best! The seafood risotto was a highlight! We could not have had a better experience for our first group dinner in NYC - thank you“
“Awesome place with awesome people and AWEsome pizza! Triple P! I ordered 4 different slices at almost 11pm, and they were all stellar ?Lots of seating, bathroom was clean, and they're open later than most places!Great pizza spot to frequent!“
“Food was pretty good. I wouldn't say it was the best food we've had but definitely far from the worst. Maybe it was because we came in pretty late in the evening but we enjoyed the food. Would definitely come back and give it another shot. Our waiter was very kind and patient and was good with giving recommendations.“
“What a fantastic meal. Extra special if you avoid gluten but still go, even if you eat gluten. Started with amazing calamari (since I don't eat gluten, I hadn't had this in decades) served with side of tomato sauce, branzino (couldn't be any better and we shared molten cake with ice cream and an Eclair. The waiter was very helpful with suggestions and the room was great with high ceilings and chandeliers with some lively music playing.“
“I have passed by many times but never had an occasion where u til last night. I was pleasantly surprised once I stepped inside because the outside is rather plain and doesn't hint of the tasteful and elegant inside. The front door opens to a lovely atrium area adorned with a huge flower arrangement in an urn with a bar and seating area. It is lovely tan and brown marble with bronze lighting fixtures and comfortable and booth seating. The food was done very very well. In stark contrast to a wedding I went to at a different well known catering hall a few weekends ago, the buffet was on point. The fried calamari was brought out small trays at a time often so that it remained crispy on the buffet. The cheese was delicious and actually tasted like cheese. The chicken franchise was tasty of lemons and butter and not overdone or mushy. The coating wasn't falling off in a wet heap like we sometimes see. The salads were fresh and delicious. The roasted peppers were certainly made in house because they had roasted flavor with brown grill marks and the garlic slices tasted like freshly sauced garlic. The drinks were on point. The bartender assured me she could make a good old fashioned, and indeed she did! I highly recommend this place“
“Thank you Eddy! You made us so welcome. And we are so glad. The happening room, the hustling kitchen, delicious and surprising food (l’ insalada rabe with fennel, orange, olive, almonds, red onion … ) and happy diners. This is exactly what a curious wanderer of the planet wants to find - and that is not easy. An atmospheric place where smart young locals go. The primitivo was excellent and the delicate house made ravioli special of ricotta, porcinis, shaved parm and truffle oil in a light sauce - bellisissima! A panna cota with the moscato - to be remembered and your smooth attitude. Excellent. Grazie.“
“Wow. Stunned. Questo e' Italia en NYC. Perfecto. Come here. Our new favorite Italian restaurant in NYC. When we saw the level of professionalism of the team, quality of the food, dedication to the mission of creating an authentic Italian experience ... the future decision we to dine near 5th ave is clear. We are in.“
“Continued with my pizza cravings this season and stopped by this place recommended by my friend. Clearly it is known for their guilty-pleasure gluten-free pizza and their unique fried pizzas (which I didn’t get). The place seems to quite spacious with an open kitchen in the back featuring a red brick stone oven for pizza baking. Monday noon is not busy at all so we did walk-ins and got seated right away.Pistachio & SalsicciaIt features mozzarella, pistachio pesto, sausage, pecorino romano, basil. We had never had pistachio pesto before so we were intrigued to try. The basil on top and the extra virgin olive oil’s flavors didn’t fall short in comparison to pesto and sausage. I got hints of pistachio but not much from eating this pizza. The sausages were crumbly and fell kinda everywhere when I cut the pizza. The flavor is new, just not impressive.RicottaGot a lighter pizza to hopefully offset the other heavier one. It is indeed light, but I didn’t get too much from tomato sauce: I didn’t get the acidity or tanginess or sweetness, it is like my eyes were telling me I was eating a pizza rosse but my taste buds said otherwise. The ricotta was nice and creamy even after being torched. But after the pizza got colder, the ricotta didn’t want to be stay with the pizza dough anymore.I didn’t like one particular thing: they delivered both pizzas at the same time to the table and the pistachio & salsiccia pizza was a bit colder, so the cheese started to harden and there were no stretch of the mozzarella.I loved about one thing: the chewiness and the bounecyness of their crust. I wouldn’t say they have the lightest crust (compared to the other Naple style pizza places I have eaten), but their crust is the most mochi-like one. I started to wonder what flour they used to develop that much gluten. Really good crust which I am willing to eat alone or pair with maybe some dip everyday, subjectively speaking.I feel like I probably need to try some other flavors to possibly re-evaluate this place. The truffle and mushroom pizzas are still waving their hands at me.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza offered.“
“Exquisite and homey - a rare combination. A Neighborhood feel to this gem. Just a beautiful Old World Italian environment put us in a right frame for The Met Opera House. Gorgeous hand painted murals, excellent wait staff, knowledgeable and kind. The food and wine did not disappoint our expectations. Pricey but worthwhile for special times.“
“I so wanted to like this place - pricing is fair for lunch. But I'm confused by all the five stars, the food is mediocre, I was hungry and I didn't finish either of my dish (octopus and the pasta with duck). Might come again for a cocktail but not food.Adding one star for the good service.“
“Great food, great service, really nice atmosphere. We met dear friends for dinner and had an awesome evening! Every course was excellent, Stephanie our server was terrific, and as we waited for our ride home, Salih said I am going through Ridgewood I will give you a ride. Wow! Talk about full service.“
“the pizza was so stringy, and warm, it was definitely hand made and never frozen, the music playing really brings up the mood and was easy to order, a single slice is only 3 bucks (minus tax) and it is very wheelchair friendly, the chairs are not screwed to the floor so you can move chairs for the wheelchair.“
“We really enjoyed the meal. The grilled calamari was fresh as was the stuffed mozzarella. The pasta dishes were very good and plentiful. We finished up with the tiramisu and cappuccino, which were both great. There was a very loud table that was finishing up, fortunately, and after that the noise leveled off and we could hear each other.“
“My wife and I walked into LK for the first time and the hostess greeted us and said "sit anywhere you'd like".....what restaurant ever says that, we were hooked right away. We both shared a caesar salad, it was delicious. My wife ordered pasta with sausage. That too was delicious, I had the pasta with cherry tomatoes and crab meat, absolutely delicious. When our order came, we immediately got fresh pepper and before I could even ask for fresh cheese, a gentleman was waiting behind me with the cheese. I mean, c'mon the place has a great food, great service and a nice chill atmosphere. I think we just found our go-to restaurant.“
“If you want to take people to a real authentic regional Italian restaurant come here! The food is great and their concise wine menu has some classics to match. The chicken parm is ward winning so you must order. We did family style. Best of all is the staff who are like friends you know from around the corner. Birthday parties were going on this night and the karaoke at the busy bar was...well...cute. My crew will be back!“
“A hidden oasis in midtown. The food, the ambiance, the attentive staff, as well as the gracious owners, all make this an extraordinary dining experience. The pastas, the steaks and the desserts are all world class. Whether one is conducting a business meeting, on a date, or celebrating a special occasion; this should remain on one's "go-to" list...a, thoroughly, enjoyable evening.“
“HOLY SMOKES! It's been a long time since I was left satisfied and smiling! This Chicken Carciofi is a master class, must-have item in your take out rotation. The focaccia crunch blended with the heavenly fresh mozzzy ooooooooh MAMA!!! When I eat this sandwich, I travel to another dimension, and I'm comfortable in that place, it feels like home. Add on the special, yet delicate ARANCINOs and I am LOST, barely aware of my surroundings, struggling to gather myself. God Bless America and God Bless Adam and those soldiers at Francesca's!“
