“This is a brand new, recently opened restaurant and wow did they deliver for first impressions. Food was absolutely incredible. The sushi was fresh and made quickly. I had the volcano roll and the Naruto rainbow row, it was beautiful and delicious. Very good quality cuts and tasted fresh Really impressed by their milk tea as well. We got the original and Taro milk tea and it was fantastic. Staff was also very friendly and helpful in deciding what to order. Would definitely be coming back the next time I’m in town!“

“Hands-down the best sushi in NJ, and probably the tri-state area, including NYC. I worked in NYC for 15 years and this place is superior to any sushi restaurants I went to.“

“I am so happy to come to this restaurant, since there are my favorite soup dumplings and pork ramen, I am surprised. This small restaurant is exquisitingly decorated, clean and beautiful, and there are many food choices in it, including sushi and various kinds of fried noodles. I am excited!“

“Nothing beats enjoying the sushi at the restaurant but due to the covid pandemic and with an abundance of caution for safety the restaurant is takeout only. Regardless, Mr. Bin's is our "go-to" sushi place. We routinely travel from Union to Cranford because it's that good! The freshness is evident with every bite. The presentation of the sushi is perfect. I miss hanging with Mr. Bin at the restaurant and looking forward that once again. Especially his "special" selections that he surprises me with.“

“The food is top notch. From the soup to the sushi. Even the ice cream is delicious. What really bothers me though is the service. There is a 90 minute time limit which I get but when you are rushed to get out by an hour that’s not right. Also when you’re hounding tables waiting to literally take a plate because you have nothing else to do that’s a problem. Finally when you’re coming up to tables and asking them for platters back because you don’t have enough supposedly that’s not good either. Last night I was hounded constantly. Twice I had people tell me to move my sushi to my paper plate because they needed the platter. May I suggest buying more platters. Love the food and yes I know I’ll be back but the service was ridiculous in your face. Don’t come here for date night because they don’t leave you alone“

“Now open for lunch. This place is amazing! The best quality sushi straight from Japan. Best Omakase my friends and family have had in the NY area, the country and internationally! All homemade deserts as well. A must try over and over! Amazing atmosphere and drinks as well! The owner takes great pride in serving the best food and providing the best experience! Thanks!

“pretty decent and good sushi spot. My local sushi place is closed on Tuesdays so im glad Takei is open those days.
First visit and i didnt expect inside to be spacious. Its pretty clean and well kempt too. Took about 30mins to get order ready for pickup but understandable since i didnt really see a lot of staff.
Sushi was fresh and tasted pretty good. We had the Takei special but I feel like ive tried those before (from other places) so wasnt really surprised. I was looking for something new or creative so im hoping to try more from the menu especially from the specials. Place has been here for a long time and for good reason. Glad I gave it a go!“

“Ordered for the first time from Mizu based on others reviews and I was not disappointed! The pad Thai shrimp was very flavorful and a big portion. Also ordered 2 sushi rolls. Both were very fresh and tasty and even the ginger that comes with the rolls was the freshest I have ever tasted(and they give you enough).“

“Popped in for a late lunch on New Year's Day and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food! Firstly, don't judge the size of the venue because the menu is seven pages!! So many choices!! I had the most tasty, smooth and crunchy, sushi pizza!! I paired it with a healthy seaweed salad. My hubby enjoyed a tasty Miso Soup and Alaska Roll while listening to Abba's greatest hits in the background! What a fun venue! Cindy, our server was so friendly! A must visit when in the area!! Or drive from far away because it is worth it!!! And one more thing, very reasonably priced too!!!“

“It was a very quiet Tuesday night, but the staff greeted us warmly when we came in and the food came in quickly since my table was the only one there and it was late at night. I got the tuna tataki and bibimbap and my friend had a poke bowl. And I loved my portion. I did notice a good amount of take out orders come in also. Overall I really like the place would def come back.“

“Best sushi restaurant in the area! They’re really good at doing special rolls that are complex without being so over the top that you lose the flavor. BYOB and prices are similar to other restaurants in the area. Reservations usually aren’t needed and service is good. Love the white dragon roll and their pork gyoza and crispy duck appetizers
Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and gluten free friendly“

“We ordered delivery late on a Sunday night and impressed at Go Sushi’s hours. They must have took our call, immediately started rolling and then brought it to our apartment because wow, that was a super fast delivery. But it was all great, salmon avocado, spicy tuna, and the yellowtail sushi pizza. Great stuff ! Order here.“
“Look at this other review down here lol It's sushi from a grocery store, that's made and packed. What do you expect? A master sushi chef straight from Tokyo, or Fukuoka, or Hokaido, sitting in Shoprite taking orders? They make good sushi when it's just made. You eat sushi that's been sitting in your fridge for even an hour, it's not as good as fresh, but still good.“

“Sort of a hole in the wall kind of place, but the sushi is fresh and tasty, and the proprietor is friendly and attentive. Had dinner there tonight with several friends and food was very good. Sushi pizza was excellent. I've also had takeout several times. Orders have always been accurate and timely. Great little neighborhood place.
Vegetarian options: They have a good number of vegetarian options. Avocado and mango roll was yummy.
Parking: Plenty of free parking in the lot behind the restaurant.“

“Wandered into this place and discovered that they have a secret Chinese menu with authentic dishes! Actually it's not really secret, they recently hired a new chef that does Szechuan and Northeastern Chinese cuisine, and haven't had a chance to officially update their menu.
Szechuan is pretty prevalent in NJ these days, but NE Chinese cuisine is still a rarity, so we ordered from their NE Chinese menu. The food was pretty good. I would definitely go back and try their Szechuan dishes as well.“

“Now this place has GREAT FOOD. If you're a sushi lover, then I do recommend this place. It's different from a traditional buffet because they give you a menu sheet and pencils, and you pick the items you want, and they make your food Ala carte. The food is brought out on a large tray which is placed kn the table. It's more like a share type set up, and it works nicely. My only complaint is the restraunt itself. It's sleepy and very outdated. Feels like you stepped back in time. The seating is old and the tables are too small. If they updated the decor and gutted the place and made it more modern, their business would skyrocket more than it already is.Regardless of the decor, I will be going back again because the food is that good.“

“Living nearby, I go here a lot as it is my preferred sushi restaurant in South Orange. My experience is consistently good, and I've done takeout and dine-in many times. Lots of variety in sushi and also several good choices for appetizers (the Rock Shrimp and the tartare on rice cracker are both so good). Can get pretty busy during the rush and the place isn't huge, but service has always been good. I will be back many more times for sure.“

“Sushi is really good! I also had the Tuna Mango Tartar, it was sooooooo good!!! Better than some of the other sushi places in the area. Really really great sushi rice, it’s fresh, the fish is excellent! I used to work at a sushi restaurant in Hawaii, so if I’m raving about a place here it means a lot lol.“

“By far the best hot and sour soup. Large sharable plates. Staff was very friendly. My friend had the fried tofu and was also very happy. The vegetable fried was very good although I would have liked to see more vegetables in it. But overall a great experience
Dietary restrictions: They are very accommodating
Parking: We arrived at around 2 pm and walked a few blocks to restaurant because parking was very limited

“So on the recommendation of a coworker I tried this place out since it was Friday sushi was a good choice for lunch. I ordered a spider roll (soft shell crab in tempura). For lunch seems like the one person handle it well but could of use more help getting orders. Place is nothing great to look at but was very clean. Now the food it was super fresh it was freshly fried that was still a little warm still when I ate it. Loved it was only 6 pieces if I knew it was small but good I would of ordered two rolls guess next time. Great susbi.“

“Tokyo Hibachi in Springfield, NJ, is a really cool place. It’s got a mix of old Japanese style and modern vibes, making it a great spot for any kind of dinner. What’s really great about Tokyo Hibachi is how they stick to kosher food but still make it taste super delicious and authentic, just like traditional Japanese meals. Everything they serve is made with top-notch ingredients, and you can tell they put a lot of effort into making their food both look and taste amazing. The people working at Tokyo Hibachi are super nice and really good at their jobs. They make sure everyone is happy and gets what they need, especially when it comes to special food requirements.Tokyo Hibachi isn’t just a regular restaurant; it’s a place where they really care about keeping kosher while serving fantastic Japanese food. It’s a must-visit spot in Springfield, whether you live there or are just passing through.“

“We ordered beef, shrimp and scallops. The Hibachi prepared by the chef was very good. My daughter didn't like scallops originally, but she liked the scallops prepared by the chef. We also ordered fried ice cream, which was also delicious. The bathroom was very clean and the store seemed to take good care of it.“
