“Tacowala is a really great option for large events. Amish was incredibly welcoming and helpful in helping us choose how much and what to order for my guests. We fed 40+ people with the tacowala catering event, it was all correct and greatly organized. I would recommend this to anyone hosting a large party as a great option for vegetarian mexican inspired indian tacos!“

“Went on a Saturday around noon. Food and drinks were nice and fresh. I had a mezcal and Blueberry drink and my wife ordered a tequila version of a Pina colada. For our meal I ordered the chicken enchiladas. The chicken was well seasoned and the green sauce had a nice bright citrus flavor and was quite enjoyable. My wife ordered the tree leches French toast which was nice very nice as well. The only disappointment was the fact that they only served brunch and we were looking to have the mole. Wish we were told prior to being seated or at least a sign posted. Not used to seeing brunch on Saturdays, usually thought brunch was reserved for Sundays. Will try again in the future but for dinner instead.“

“Unfortunately yelp won't let me go past 5 stars and this place deserves wayyy more! Before I moved my dad and I would come almost every Saturday together for lunch since I was 10-11 years old. This restaurant has a tex mex flair. We have had so many different things on the menu we highly recommend. Baby Back Ribs w/the spicy rub, the special : Sliders & Street Tacos and Chicken /Steak Fajitas for entrees. For starters we suggest going with guacamole or a soup. There's homemade chicken tortilla & Black bean soup. The chips are great and salsa tastes fresh medium spice level. To finish we recommend the award winning flan its *chefs kiss*. Each table also has some homemade sauces that range Fromm mild to spicy and a bit Smokey you can add to your BBQ or Tacos. Since the flood the place has had a total makeover which looks fabulous , including now being able to order cocktails which was totally needed now the place I grew up with is growing up with me too now we can both drink! haha. The owners Mike & Mel are so kind and provide such a great menu & specials options. Their staff are amazing people and so helpful when it comes to new people coming to try out Grub Hut for the 1st time. “Had such a great breakfast here today. The red velvet waffles were delicious as was the latte I ordered. My daughter had the huevos rancheros which she said was really good. “Macho Nacho continues to be the best tacos around! Used to eat at the old location, and love the new location more. I traveled a lot for work and I only get one thing here which stacks up amazingly to the best tacos - carne asada on a crispy taco shell. Comes with guac (a must have) and pico, and add the amazing red and green sauces and squeeze of lime - perfection! Top off with a Mexican Coke and you have an amazing and affordable meal - the spice and flavor dances on the tongue and continues to do so after you leave!“

“I tried their birria tacos when they first opened (1-2 years ago), and they were good but I remember the tacos were on the smaller side compared to others I've had (e.g. Chofi in Union). Granted, they were a new restaurant and I assumed still working out some kinks. In all honesty, I ended up forgetting about this restaurant. I just ordered through Uber eats today, and the tacos were bigger than last time, tasted amazing, and delivered hot. Flavor was on point for the tacos, consome, and green salsa. Happy to add The Birria Kitchen in my rotation of local restaurants!“
“I read the reviews online and went there based on their ratings. I was expecting a nice little sit down restaurant but this is actually more of a takeout place. They do have a few tables so we did eat in there. The food was fresh. I wasn't thrilled with the flavors. I got fish tacos and really the only thing I could taste was the cabbage. The guacamole and chips were very good and fresh. I probably won't go back. The people there are extraordinarily nice“

“Yelped a local place for authentic street tacos and found this gem. From the outside, it's very plain. Almost can't tell it's open but when you see everyone coming in & out, you know it's THE spot. Got my order to go although next time I'll be eating it indoors. The space is huge with lots of tables. Put in my order for al pastor tacos. He said 25 minutes but I got it waaaay less time! Soooo freaking good! Satisfying and filling! Five tacos for $16. Not bad if I do say so myself. Go. You'll like it!“
“Our server davie was awesome- my son has a few allergies (dairy, egg, and nut) and made sure all of the food we ordered was safe for him to eat. We really appreciated it, especially that he checked up on us asking if he was safe once the food came out. “One of the most incredible farm to table restaurants you will ever dine in!You absolutely must get the fried cheese. It is a staple! I also enjoyed the fried baby artichokes which were so delicate and delicious smothered in the most incredible sauce.If there’s anything there that comes with pork belly, then you absolutely must order it! The gorditas are my absolute favorite, essentially an extremely fat arepa stuffed with pork belly!Also, the fried chicken taco is next level.All the drinks are crazy, but I really prefer the Coquito. And I would be remiss if I did not mention that you must order any and all desserts that they offer! The tres strawberry shortcake is really something special !“

You order via a kiosk and get a buzzer, and when your food is ready, the buzzer goes off, and you pick up your food at a separate window. The place has a cozy ambiance and efficient workers. “My boyfriend and I have been to many restaurants in Morristown, but Orale is definitely our new favorite. With dinner we tried the Blood Orange Margarita, and the Cosmopolitan, both drinks we highly recommend. We started with the Pork Belly Guacamole, Pulpo, and Flautas de Pollo. All were truly amazing and exciting. As mains, we had the wood grilled carne asada and the Ribeye Plancha. The meat in both dishes was so tender and perfectly buttery. Lastly for dessert we shared the Flan, Tres Leches and an espresso martini. The flan is the true highlight of the night. It is truly so delicate and delicious. It is a MUST TRY. Fausto was our server and was super attentive, kind and very welcoming We genuinely could not love and recommend this restaurant more. Incredible and absolutely one of the best restaurant in the Morristown area.“
“The place is nice , good for quick breakfast-brunch. The menu is pretty big, but the food is not special. We got a flight of jams, it was served with mini croissants, corn muffins and biscuits, but it wasn’t fresh at all. It was warmed up, but tasted like it’s been standing for few days already. I’ve had the smoked salmon omelette that was served with home fries and a toast-it was great. Overall, a nice place but wouldn’t say that I loved it.“
“Came here with a group of 6 girlfriends. It was a bit early so we were seated right away. Let begin to say this is the first time at a Mexican restaurant with a HUGE array of menu options! We were greeted by our server Abel he was fantastic! We all started with a flight of margaritas which were tasty but had no alcohol in them we even mentioned it to the server. He did not bring out extra tequila or anything. The flight cost us $30 each for juice, that is the reason I took 1 star off!! We all shared two orders of guac... really good. Most of us had the mixed fajitas, my other 2 friends had the enchiladas and the sirloin steak and shrimp on a stone. Our food was great, good flavor and portions. At the end, we all were given a shot of tequila, even that shot felt watered down! I would come back here for the food, they definitely need to work on their drinks! If they start to get the drinks right this place would be out of this world!“

“I wish I went here sooner. I love everything about this place. There’s plenty of food options. They have a sandwich and wrap station , taco station , pizza station , a fresh salad and bowl station and fruits and desserts. There’s plenty of chips and drinks to choose from. This is a great lunch spot. I had a “Livingston” pizza which had bacon, pineapple , and Gorgonzola cheese and it was real delicious. I also tried an “Essex” sandwich which was chicken cutlet , spicy ranch and tomato on Focaccia bread toasted nicely in the oven. Relaxed atmosphere with plenty of seating. The meat was rather dry, in my honest opinion, but I feel like it could've just been an off day for them when I tried it.The lady who helped us was absolutely sweet and really took time to get our orders correctly.The birria is good but definitely did not have a good consomé. “Nice hole in the wall restaurant. It can get loud depending on how full the restaurant is. But since we were in the back we got a quiet spot :) One thing is the red lights and dim lit restaurant makes the place dark. I wish they brightened up the space with regular lights instead of the colored lights. Made the pictures come out dark too (see pictures for reference) The food was amazing! I loved the guac we ordered for appetizers. Nachos were okay, I have had better. The entrees both were good, flavorful and good portions. They served the rice/beans in tortilla cups so more food to eat! (Not that we finished it all) I took off 1 star because the service was really slow. It took them 45 minutes to give us just appetizers and another maybe 50 minutes for the entrees. We waited for quite some time for the food!! Also their fountain drinks are flat. Just order something bottled instead! When we went they were out of stock on most of the advertised bottled drinks.“

Good food, relatively decent prices, free parking in the back, and casual atmosphere. The braised short rib enchiladas with mole sauce and the Shrimp a la Diabla are the best. I also recommend their chicken chimichanga, their hongos borrachos, and camarones al ajillo. Their new owners have upgraded the taste of their food compared to the previous owners. There is parking in the rear of the restaurant, we walked in through the back and were seated right away. Cute little place looks family ran and operated with a party room upstairs. We started with the sampler appetizer and glad we did. It was so good and enough for the of us 4, it had wings, flautas, wings, & cheese quesadilla. My husband and I shared the Mocajete AMAZING!! Never had veggies mixed in the Mocajete, but to be honest it is a great addition. Portion is huge we both had lunch for the next day! My boys had the Birria tacos and chipotle creamy chicken and shrimp they were very happy with their choices. The only thing that was a little disappointing is the wait staff is more like teenagers so not very attentive; however, for the quality and flavor of the food I'll deal with it. If in the mood for some authentic Mexican cuisine you need to come here!!!!“
“There’s nothing I have not tried from this restaurant that’s ever left me upset. The food here is the best. There’s no other Mexican restaurant I recommend in Plainfield that tops this location. I’ve introduced several friends here and they always go back. The tacos, tortas de milanesa (breaded chicken), chicken flautas, tosatadas de tinga, the sopes and the horchata are my top favorites.At times, they do run out of items because of the demand and they are a small restaurant so they only have about 4-5 tables. I would love to see them expand again! The customer service is honestly great. It’s always women running the register and doing the cooking, I truly respect and admire that. I had the carnitas tacos.They were very good and had a definite bbq flavor to them. I also had two margaritas which were good and not that strong ( which was for the best). Followed up with churros which I enjoyed.Service was quick. Two criticisms: the chairs are uncomfortable and seem like pool chairs. An upgrade is called for. Two: They charge 3% for using a credit card. I had the cash and paid cash but I don't like that. I had intended to go to Fiorinos but saw the 3% add on when I started to walk in and walked out. Too expensive for cash. Look raise your prices 3% if the credit card fees are hitting you too hard.“
