“This place is fantastic!!! The pasta was to die for! The lamb pizza I’ve been thinking about since I’ve eaten it! The only hiccup was that they were short staffed in the kitchen so we were there for a very long time AND my husbands steak was over cooked. They did more than enough to make it right and were very apologetic. The place is very cute and homey inside. PLUS BYOB! We will be back again that’s for sure !“
“First time visit to this restaurant. Our server Alina was exceptional - made great recommendations. The service was on point. The staff is very efficient. I loved my drink "Pineapple Jalapeno Mockarita". The crab cake, the best we have ever had - no fillers, just fresh crab meat. It's even better than the ones you get in Alaska. Other dishes we ordered including Branzino, Halibut were delicious as well. Portions are big. Next time, we are going to try the salads, we have heard they are great. Memorable experience. Would love to go back.“
“This place is unbelievable!!! My husband and i went for a quick lunch date and man, our only regret is that we hadn't tried it sooner. We got a salad, broccoli rabe, and the classic pizza to share. Everything was amazing. The pizza was like being back in Italy. We also got the nutella desert which should be illegal. Cannot wait to try our way through the menus. “Love this place. We’ve been coming here since we moved to the area 8 years ago. They’ve hosted our first baby shower and my parents birthday party. The food is excellent, I’m partial to the chicken Marsala and chicken francese. They also do a nut free pesto on request which is huge for nut allergy people like myself. The owners and staff are great, and the vibe inside is even better now that they’ve refreshed the place. Go! Bring your family!“
“Ordered the Margarita after hearing they won a competition. I can definitely see why, the crust is crisp and thin with a focaccia-like texture. The sauce is light and flavorful with being to harsh. The cheese is everything it is hyped up to be. We will be back, perhaps sandwiches next time.“
“Venti is a great sandwich shop in JC. We used to get sandwiches from there back when they only had a food truck. Unsurprisingly, they've leveled up and have a brick and mortar location now. We usually get the chicken parm with vodka sauce and the spicy Italian sub. Can't go wrong with either!“
“Visiting Grumpys for the Pizza Hunters App and was not disappointed. Parking can be tricky. There are only 4 parking spots behind the Pizzeria..I wound up parking across the street and patronizing the Deli as well in the process. I didn't even get all the way inside the door and was greeted immediately with a Hello, Welcome and How are You. Service was excellent and the price point was excellent. A lot of great Pizza for your money. It took me a little to find the words for this Pizza. The Crispy crust is definitely the highlight. Followed by the Sauce and Cheese. Really, the pizza has its own unique style and delivery. It all works. At one point, I thought maybe a little more sauce, since i am a big fan, but once it hits your taste Buds, you realize that it all works perfectly together and that's what makes it unique as a Grumpys Pizza. “In town for a Driscoll Food Show. As restaurant owners ourselves we take notice of so many attributes. The ambiance, attention to detail, service and especially the food. Our meals were absolutely delicious. I had the Butternut Squash Soup and King Salmon with Beurre Blanc with Sundried Tomatoes and my husband had the Scallops with Angel Hair. Nice experience and highly recommend!“

“I've been looking for a local, full service coffee shop that roasts their own beans, sells coffee/espresso, as well as offers breakfast and lunch.**This IS that place**I couldn't tell from their website, but the posts I saw on insta showed that they serve food, and I'm happy to report that it tastes as good as it looks!Very friendly staff and accommodating. Although it's currently the middle of December, I wanted a macchiato over ice, which wasn't on their menu, but when I asked they happily said 'of course'.Seems like I'm going to have to sign up for their points system because I can tell I'm going to be back here a whole lot more.I'm particularly interested in sampling their beans, just wish i didn't have to buy an entire bag of beans. Why don't these local roasters sell sample packs, allowing you to still purchase a pound of beans, but separated into small batches with samples of each bean type? This would allow me to quickly figure out which bean I want to try without having to buy a single large bag and take a month to go through coffee I don't really like before trying the next type . . . Or maybe i should start roasting my own beans and do this method . . .Anyways, I really like the space they have, they've really made the most of it, very cozy and inviting.Can't wait to go back“
“I have passed by many times but never had an occasion where u til last night. I was pleasantly surprised once I stepped inside because the outside is rather plain and doesn't hint of the tasteful and elegant inside. The front door opens to a lovely atrium area adorned with a huge flower arrangement in an urn with a bar and seating area. It is lovely tan and brown marble with bronze lighting fixtures and comfortable and booth seating. The food was done very very well. In stark contrast to a wedding I went to at a different well known catering hall a few weekends ago, the buffet was on point. The fried calamari was brought out small trays at a time often so that it remained crispy on the buffet. The cheese was delicious and actually tasted like cheese. The chicken franchise was tasty of lemons and butter and not overdone or mushy. The coating wasn't falling off in a wet heap like we sometimes see. The salads were fresh and delicious. The roasted peppers were certainly made in house because they had roasted flavor with brown grill marks and the garlic slices tasted like freshly sauced garlic. The drinks were on point. The bartender assured me she could make a good old fashioned, and indeed she did! I highly recommend this place“

Fresh hot bread, and probably the best Chicken Francese I've ever had... “Almost hidden on a small street in Belleville, Me & Tommy's looks like someone's house from the outside. Once inside, you are immediately treated as a guest in a friend's home. We received such a warm welcome, that my husband asked if I knew the staff. That level of service continued throughout the entire meal. I can't remember the last time I experienced such outstanding service. The dining area is quite small, and they are busy all night. I would most definitely call for a reservation in advance. The atmosphere is lively and boisterous. Not meant for a quiet romantic evening. Kinda like a loud Sunday family dinner vibe. For food: Smothered Rice Balls in Vodka Sauce, Stuffed Cubanelle Peppers, Pasta Volognese, and Artichoke Chicken. For me, the Rice Balls were my favorite dish. Generously portioned, the rice balls are a cheesy carb delight. The famous vodka sauce was creamy and plentiful. Highly recommend. The Stuffed Peppers were two very large, beautiful cubanelles (my personal fav pepper). My husband loved the stuffing, while I did think it was a touch over seasoned. The Volognese- cross btw vodka and bolognese) was enormous! It does lean more to the bolognese, but was tasty nonetheless. My Chicken Artichoke special consisted of three chicken breasts with mozzarella and artichoke hearts in a white wine lemon sauce over linguine. This was a very tasty and satisfying dish, and -you guessed it- generous. We shared an Affogatto with Bailey's liqueur for dessert which was a perfect end to the meal. Even my espresso was delicious. The prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes. We took home enough left overs for another meal! We will most definitely return.“

I have searched and search for that perfect crunch of the Argentine pizza and taste….and I FOUND IT at Biby’s!Biby’s offers different types of pizza but if you want to experience AMAZING-NESS, their Argentine Pizza Deluxe is the way to go. Minus the eggs, that is EXACTLY the way I had it growing up. We ate with the sliced hard boiled eggs on top and it was sooooo….GOOD!As soon I saw the round pan and the gentleman building the pizza, my heart was so GLAD…. I said to my myself, “Yes, that’s how I remember the pizza being prepared” The Argentine pizza is a little thicker but so tasty!All of this and I didn’t tell you about the empanadas…. ALSO DEE-LISH, and the Chimichurri sauce is incredible! Leading up to the event we worked with the owner who was responsive and accommodating - answering all our questions. The day of we were blown away by the attentive service of of the wait staff - multiple guests of mine were singing their praises! So friendly and worked so hard- I felt like I was at their home and they were hosting us as friends. Last but not least the food was incredible! “Heard NJ had some good Italian delis so was in the search for one nearby this weekend and it was a pretty good find. Very homey vibes as soon as you walk in. Staff was friendly. We were the only ones there upon arrival, less than an hour before closing on a Saturday afternoon but shortly after they had a mini rush and some locals picking up a catering order. We ordered a half and full but the half was a decent size so don't be fooled. Two sandwiches, a lasagna roll up and two bevs was about $31 total, I would say pretty affordable. I would return and maybe create my own. The Italian was delicious, def recommend. I got the Chicken Avocado BLT, tasty but not sure I like the fried avocado. Some fresh avocado, cheese and maybe a pesto would've knocked it out the park for me! They also have some frozen items you can take home. Good start to my search for an Italian deli.“
“This is a place we want to even during the pandemic, when there was hardly anyone there. Food is excellent, prefix menu before 6 pm is wonderful. It is small, like someone's living room. which is intimate, but you are delegated to a small table when you made reservations for two.. The tables that are for two are so close you hear every conservation and hardly room for your food. I asked if we could have a table for four when we went in at 5:30. Waiter said we could not have a table for four because there were others coming in with 4 .. After we were eating I saw a couple come in and they had a table for 4 but only two of them...Could it be they called the waiter by name? made me feel that all patrons are not created equal....obviously we were not. Good for 3-4 but not two. I asked if we came in at 4 pm, could we have a table for 4 and out by 5.....no was the answer. I tried both the eggplant parm and a veggie sandwich, and both were delicious and made just how I asked (extra vinegar, light oil). The fresh bread and top-notch ingredients made all the difference. “My friend Doug Eppel and I were in Lyndhurst so we decided to visit a place that I have heard great things about. Casa Giuseppe on Valley Brook Avenue. Cool little Italian Restaurant. An old-school Italian vibe and ambiance provided a very comfortable, relaxing dining atmosphere. Pristine and nicely decorated, it appeared to be a neighborhood favorite. The food and friendly and attentive service was exceptional. Thank you to our server, Nelson. After an ample, mouth water Burrata appetizer, served over arugula and fresh tomatoes, I ordered the Zuppa Di Pesce, a fantastic dish loaded with clams, mussels, calamari, scallops, shrimp, all served over linguine. Delicious! Dessert was a Pistachio Tartufo and a cappuccino, of course. Home run meal all around! I should mention that Casa Giuseppe is a BYOB. An unusual feature here is that despite it being a BYOB the restaurant is attached to Bar 503, from where you can order a drink to go with your meal if that is your preference. Bar 503 is a recommended destination in itself. A gorgeous, friendly little bar with a live DJ and karaoke (at least on our visit), and a place we had to stop in and have a Manhattan following our meal. Bartender, Frank, was also a wealth of knowledge and a great guy to talk to. BTW, Doug had the Chef's special, Shrimp & Scallops over Ink squid pasta in a vodka sauce. Magnificent fish! The food was delicious. I would definitely come back with my family for a meal or host an event from this restaurant.Parking: The lot forms a semi circle around the restaurant, there was plenty of parking for all the event guest plus whatever regulars dine there.Kid-friendliness: It was a kid event so there were kids all over the place being kids and having fun. No one reprimanded the children for noise or rambunctiousness. It was alot of fun for the children.“

There was a small error in our order which I will put down to the fact that it was the superbowl and the place was hopping.
