“Went last night for a little friend date. We were sat promptly at a nice two top by the front window. Our server, who was the most italian server I’ve had since Italy, described the specials perfectly. Everything sounded delicious and I wanted to hear him talk more. All the food was top notch. The mushroom pasta special was a bit pricey ($29 a little sticker shock) and could have used more of that mushroom flavor, however, the pasta ribbons were of a most excellent quality with a nice chew, so I was still satisfied. The best item of the night was the roasted cauliflower special with the piccata sauce. My only qualm was the server, though magnificent, described the dish as being accompanied by focaccia bread. Upon receiving the check I discovered the focaccia was a separate charge. Felt a slight sense of hoodwinked but no matter - it was delicious bread.Service is nice as relaxed in that very European way. It was nice to be given time and not felt rushed out. In fact, I requested the check, which often time a restaurant doesn’t afford you the pleasure of doing. Will be back for certain.“

“We were in town visiting our son, who lives in Greenwich Village, and he recommended Maestro Pasta as he had recently dined there. We loved it so much…the atmosphere, the food, the service…we went back a second time in the same week. I know it’s crazy. Of all the restaurant choices there are in NYC, we couldn’t get that freshly made pasta off our minds and had to go back. The swing seating by the tables is a very special touch. The braised artichoke though was amazing, flavorful and unique. We only had the pasta and they were great (tortellini and the verse ragu).Although I must say the ambiance is a bit louder than I would typically enjoy so be prepared to a more lively and noisy dining than usual. Definitely more casual than those I mentioned - but the food is worth it.“

We were looking for somewhere to eat and many waiters were asking us to dine at their establishments as we walked through the neighborhood. We were drawn in by Mr. Ayman and one of the waiters. Mr. Ayman was an excellent, gracious host who truly cared about his service and food. If you’re in Little Italy you have many restaurants to choose from. Be sure to choose L’Amore.“
“I was up and down about buying this pizza because of the cost...HOWEVER, I thought I'd give it a try. It arrived today...Man. REAL PIZZA after 20 years of being GF. It was delicious! I've order online frozen items (cookies, pizza, apps etc) before and this was, by far, the best delivery result. Frozen solid, minimal waste and even the GF taramisu I was nervous about experienced no thawing. It was supposed to be for someone else but oops, so good my taste testing went a bit too far. What taramisu?? :) I ordered 3 GF pizzas and have only tried the sausage and mushroom so far. The crust edge was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle while the pizza itself cooked up nicely. I like mine a bit well done and even doing so, the toppings didn't burn. My ONLY complaint was it needed a bit more sauce for my personally liking and because it was fresh and tasty, I wanted more. Maybe a side to dip my crust in?? What? Yes. Great job Kreste!“

So many options, it's approaching overwhelming. If you like Neapolitan-style pizza, you'll definitely enjoy La Lanterna's. It was the right chewiness, and the toppings and sauce were tasty. I also had one of the many available adult beverages, opting for a hard coffee. It was excellent. The cheese and pate plate was good -- the bread it came with was well seasoned and had a nice crisp. But the presentation definitely leaves something to be desired, it definitely looked like an elementary school science fair project on the plate. Overall, good food, not too pricey, and a nice patio. The staff are all nice especially our server Fermin. He was very pleasant and always had a warm smile. Our food was very delicious from the appetizer, crispy eggplant ,to my main course Bronzino and to my Tahitian Creme Brulee desert. I loved this restaurant and my experience here. Everything we tried was a treat, with the beef tartare, Barolo risotto, beef cheeks and molten chocolate cake standing out as our favorites. The staff here are all engaging – particularly want to call out Nelson and say thank you for the tip top personalized service and conversation! It was a packed restaurant with couples and friend groups, seemingly everyone in high spirits. “Came here for dinner with friends. My friends are regulars and love Locanda Verde. They’re foodies like me, so I was excited to try this restaurant…Well, now I know why they love it so much. The team is friendly from the get go and we felt taken care of by the friendly staff. We went for the roast chicken and it didn't disappoint. Don't expect it to be life changing but it is among the best roast chicken in NYC: juicy with great flavor and an amazing crispy skin served with their version of a chimichurri sauce. Delicious. “I will actually get all hoity toity food reviewer with this place. It was sublime.The thing I won't be able to stress enough is how well every thing I tried had the most perfect balance of flavors. You tasted everything, nothing was overpowering.For starters we had the seminola bread with oil, the broccoli rabe, the tuna and red pepper corsitini and the ricotta and honey crostini. The ricotta and honey crostini is a really strong recommend.For the main dish I had the maltagliati with pork sugo Bianco. The pork was excellent. My kid though, they hit the jackpot. They ordered the cavatelli with hot sausage and brown sage butter and it's literally their favorite pasta dish they've ever had. Which is saying a lot because they've been a fiend for spaghetti and meatballs the majority of their life.Our server Nicholas was an absolute pro. Very attentive and quick. The atmosphere is great. As always though, that star rating is affected by size. It's a tight fit between some of the tables, but the ambiance is wonderful.“

Ordered the Shrimp Fra Diavolo and Crispy Octopus.This pizza is the thinner style, the crust is slightly crispy but soft mochi-like inside. It is pretty light and not greasy; it’s stated as spicy on the menu but is not.The crispy octopus is alright, the octopus is on the tough side, so not everyone would like that. However, the vegetable combination and sauce surprised me. The celery and herb are tossed in a light refreshing sauce, with the spiciness and tanginess from pepper dew and crispy potato, overall, a complex flavor profile yet refreshing and savory appetizer.“

I'd say the pistachio and pistachio cream are more like a pesto and a butter - I would take a jar of the two back home if they sold it.Ambiance is welcoming and cozy. It's a small place and lunch rush hour can get a bit crazy. My colleagues and I got in just in time to get some seating near a window. We did the tasting menu for $109/each. This included 4 apps and 4 pastas. The insalata, maiale (pork belly), and suppli were delicious. There was another seasonal app with asparagus that was very refreshing and tasty. For pastas we got the garganelli, trofie, agnolotti and carbonara. The agnolotti and carbonara were the best of the four. The dishes aren't huge, portions are a good size. Both desserts were so good. The service was attentive but not pushy or overwhelming.
