“I was back in my hometown for a short trip and wanted to work remote from a cafe. I did a quick Yelp search and stumbled across Marimba Cafe - the new name caught my eye and the aesthetics and offerings here solidified my decision. I don't think I've ever come across a sit down Latin cafe here in Bergen County so to me, since moving away, it's the first of its kind. Also first of its kind to proudly offer CBD infused menu items. I believe they just opened in November! The vibes in here are immaculate. My favorite feature is the stone floor - it just transports you somewhere new! The color scheme in here is also appealing, and the Latin music made me want to dance while I took on meetings haha. Overall, really solid branding and concept. Since I was working west coast hours, I spent the whole afternoon into close here. It's a really great place to work as there were other people working remote. They have comfortable seating and outlets conveniently located along the booth. I will say though that the booth seating was just a tad too high for the table so it took some time getting used to. Also, they do play the music fairly loud (a must) in here so it can be a tad distracting if you're taking meetings and have to speak. Since I stayed here for over 5 hours, I was able to observe the sense of community Marimba has fostered - they greet customers like friends! I also saw on their Instagram that they host community events like paint nights and dance nights and support other local businesses with their La Placita Sundays. I love everything this business is about. I ordered the coquito latte hot and a pan de bono. The latte was solid and I wish the pan de bono was just a bit bigger! I would love to try more here. Congrats to the owners of Marimba, I wish the cafe tons of business and success! I definitely want to visit again when I'm back in town.“
“6 stars. Impossible to find a Swedish princess cake in the metro area. Was tipped off that Bageriet might be able to make one. Gave a call, immediate yes. Accommodated around the holidays, cakes were amazing, service was personal and kind. Highly recommend. Please support this loc business for the service and quality. If you need a princess cake - a rare and unique delicacy - they can pull it off, give em a call.“
“Best cannoli ever! My boyfriend brought these home from his road trip, back to Michigan. nothing here compares to what you have! He brought home cannolis, cookies and cakes. all delicious! Now I know what I'm missing and need to plan a trip to NJ!“
“The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, spacious and with good service, it’s also comfy and has a great atmosphere. The food from my perspective did not meet my expectations, as for the paisita the rice was undercooked and the chicharrón was extremely greasy for all of us, so much that we all asked for it to be changed and they kindly did provide us with new pieces that were much better. The pechuga marinera was okay but was not an outstanding dish, locking freshness and flavor, the calamari felt very chewy and the chicken was very bland. The mojarra was well seasoned and fried and the ajiaco in my opinion was the best dish, that soup was delicious.I would be willing to give it another try with other dishes and try their bakery goods, it looked & smelled very promising from my view.“
“It's a takeout bakery with the best cookies, rugalah, biscotti & mini pastries around. Also sugar-free cookies. All Kosher. Lovely, polite, customer-focused employees. Delicious! I bring to my doctors & staff at hospital/rehab. Everyone loves them. My personal fav is choc covered mocha cream on vanilla cookie.Dietary restrictions: Sugar-free cookies are quite tasty & I don't seem to notice much differenceParking: A few street spots“
“Can’t get enough of these macarons! They’re the perfect size and the fillings are amazing. Highly recommend the cinnamon toast crunch or s’mores but coming from someone who has tried many flavors, you can’t go wrong! Steph even hand wrote my name which was such a nice surprise when i picked up the box!“
