“I was back in my hometown for a short trip and wanted to work remote from a cafe. I did a quick Yelp search and stumbled across Marimba Cafe - the new name caught my eye and the aesthetics and offerings here solidified my decision. I don't think I've ever come across a sit down Latin cafe here in Bergen County so to me, since moving away, it's the first of its kind. Also first of its kind to proudly offer CBD infused menu items. I believe they just opened in November! The vibes in here are immaculate. My favorite feature is the stone floor - it just transports you somewhere new! The color scheme in here is also appealing, and the Latin music made me want to dance while I took on meetings haha. Overall, really solid branding and concept. Since I was working west coast hours, I spent the whole afternoon into close here. It's a really great place to work as there were other people working remote. They have comfortable seating and outlets conveniently located along the booth. I will say though that the booth seating was just a tad too high for the table so it took some time getting used to. Also, they do play the music fairly loud (a must) in here so it can be a tad distracting if you're taking meetings and have to speak. Since I stayed here for over 5 hours, I was able to observe the sense of community Marimba has fostered - they greet customers like friends! I also saw on their Instagram that they host community events like paint nights and dance nights and support other local businesses with their La Placita Sundays. I love everything this business is about. I ordered the coquito latte hot and a pan de bono. The latte was solid and I wish the pan de bono was just a bit bigger! I would love to try more here. Congrats to the owners of Marimba, I wish the cafe tons of business and success! I definitely want to visit again when I'm back in town.“
“Great place and service. Price is decent for the quality. Both my partner and I went and got a berry bowl and a French vanilla simple shake. I was slurping for every last drop with the shake. It’s just the right amount of sweetness and is smooth. My partner loves the berry bowl, she too voted for 5 stars. Love that there’s no dairy in anything. Definitely will revisit :)“
“Went there with a friend after she suggested it has the authentic Italian food. And truly amazed with everything there, the food, the vibe everytjing were great. For food, we ordered charcuterie board, pickled vegetables, gnocchi pasta, vegetable pinsa, Tiramisu, pandoro, and last but not the list espresso coffee. Everything is delicious, definitely going back again.“
“I stopped at this place on a very hot day on my way out of the nail salon next door. I got a bottle of water (because it was even too hot for ice cream lol) and after checking my wallet and realized I didn’t have $1 I took out my card and said “I guess there’s a limit to using a card huh” the woman said “yesss sorry! But if you don’t have it you can bring $1 tomorrow or next time!” I had it, just in change. But felt the need to make this review because she was so sweet to offer a free bottle of water!“
“This place is nice, I took my boyfriend and we enjoy both a hot latte and an iced cold brew.Honestly the best coffee I ever had.I'm going to take my parents here next Sunday when they have live music.The entire staff make the busy bar look super easy.Highly recommend for dates“
