It's a heavy dish and I'm used to having some kind of pickled side vegetables as a Korean (like cultido?) but I realize this isn't always the standard for some cuisines. Anyway, all of what I ate for $9 was too good. I'll be coming back as long as the establishment continues to fight the status quo of this ever spiraling country.“
“I really wanted to try their crepes and bingsoo, so I went there with my family today. We ordered 2 bubble teas, latte, mango bingsoo, 2 crepes. My sons could have fun playing board games while waiting for the orders to come out. The drinks were ready fast, but the bingsoo and crepes took a bit long. Considering the fact that there was only one worker at that moment, waiting wasn't that bad. While waiting for the rest of the order to come out, customers kept coming in. I was surprised and pretty impressed with how the worker (guy in glasses) managed to make all the drinks without any delays. When we finally got the mango bingsoo, we were so satisfied with the taste and quality. It is the best in the neighborhood and worth waiting!! Once another worker joined and started making the crepes, it came out fast. Their crepes were also delicious, as I expected. We were all happy and satisfied with what we got. So many options, it's approaching overwhelming. If you like Neapolitan-style pizza, you'll definitely enjoy La Lanterna's. It was the right chewiness, and the toppings and sauce were tasty. I also had one of the many available adult beverages, opting for a hard coffee. It was excellent. The cheese and pate plate was good -- the bread it came with was well seasoned and had a nice crisp. But the presentation definitely leaves something to be desired, it definitely looked like an elementary school science fair project on the plate. Overall, good food, not too pricey, and a nice patio. They did not have the cheddar jalapeño biscuit I asked for but they added extra cheese to my sandwich to compensate. The biscuit was crunchy in the outside and soft on the inside. I'll definitely be coming back to try the chicken biscuit and all the different compound butters.“

Burrito are a staple for my lunch/dinner... so fresh and comforting. AND I'm not really a fan of most Mexican food but this is on a whole other level. I just finished a salad of shrimp, avocado, mango, cherry tomato, with paper thin fennel shredded on top. The shrimp are cooked to perfection, not rubbery at all but ever so slightly firm and succulent. I live in Manhattan and there isn't anything near me as delicious and fresh.It’s really a special place.“

It was also surprising that there were more local customers than Korean customers. Korean food seems to have become more popular now. I really liked the smiles of the staff. I think I'll come here at least once every two days while I'm in Manhattan. Of course, if I lived here, I would want to come every day. Since there are only a few tables, it may be difficult for groups to visit, but they allow about 3 people to sit at each table and arrange about 3-5 tables. Basically, it is more like a take-out store. There were 6 of us, 3 at each table, and we ate well. Highly recommended“

In particular the pickled peppers added a little bit of sweetness and a little kick. As a graduate of the French Culinary Institute, I’ve always thought that my lentil soup was the best. I was wrong. Theirs is better.After the soup, I ordered the ravioli stuffed with artichokes. The artichokes were plentiful, and the ravioli was perfect. My friend ordered the lasagna. She couldn’t believe that it didn’t contain meat. It tasted like a traditional meat lasagna. At the owner’s suggestion, we shared the lemon tiramisu. It contained a lovely citrus flavor and it was light and airy, and we ordered a 2nd one.Randi, the proprietor, owns the historic Blue Moon Hotel, which houses the restaurant. He gave us a tour of the hotel. The room had a terrace with a view of the whole city. There was a lot of memorabilia from the time that these were apartments. Randi is also an artist. His art adorns the walls of the restaurant.If I could, I would give this restaurant 10 stars.“

Today I went there at 9PM, after a long day at work. The service was excellent, and the two staff people who took and served my order were very professional, friendly and helpful. The cafe con leche was MUY DELICIOSO, and the ocho with guava and cream was also very tasty. The place was so clean, and the bathroom was also very clean and well-stocked, too.
