“This was my first time here. A great little bar that extends to the back where there is a pool table. There is also a dart game on the wall and mini soccer game, which people were using. The space is very clean and well decorated. When we got there we waited about 15min before anyone spoke to me and my wife. There was a little crowd there. We then realized it was the owner, mike's birthday. Everyone was singing happy birthday to him. We ordered drinks, a beer and bacardi for $13 total then a buffalo chicken pizza for $8. $20 minimum to use card. Mike later introduced himself to us and frequently made small talk. He seems like a very good guy who tries to make a bond with his customers. He explained to us how the business was going, a little about himself, introduced us to his family and even offered us jello shots and a shot of liquor on the house, oh and some cake. I would definitely go back here. He makes you feel welcomed. Nice place, good price, good manager.“

“They have such a nice chill vibe here, you will really enjoy yourself. For the holiday season, they have some great window Christmas displays that add to the ambiance. Bonus points for a solid Guinness, a nice shot of Jameson, and Touch tunes serving up the jukebox jams. It's good for groups or a nightcap with a date. Unique beer selection, too.“

“Met up with my partner after a rehearsal she had down here (she’s the best!) anywho - tried to walk into red hook tavern without a res (like a coupla chumps!). They saidIt was gonna be a seven year wait til we could get the shrimp cocktail, so tail-between-our-legs we hobbled down Van Brunt (like adorable animated dogs from a 90’s Disney Movie) and poked our heads into TGFP (we are on an acronym basis at this point ;) - the vibes ? “Didn't eat. Killed two hours here rather easily. Immediately had two open spots at the bar but we were lucky in our timing, this place can get full fast. Never had to wait for a new drink, bartenders were on top of everything.It's a local stop in Jersey City, though, so be prepared for the accent and the attitude. If you're not from Hudson County, it might seem a little rough, but this is a great spot. Lean into it.Parking: If you don't parallel park then go to a mall, you don't belong here.“

The bartenders are super friendly and pored so much wine for me and the Guinness is on point (can’t try Guinness anywhere else but here), no Rudy customers like other bars in FiDi, and just shocked at how reasonable it is! “We always have a nice experience at The Shannon Rose, but last night was exceptional, principally because of the server, Marienella. She was amazing. So nice, patient (my wife had many questions and sent her specialty drink back once for modification), sociable and knowledgeable. Marienella made our entire time there that much more special!“

“My son and I visited JK's Boathouse for drinks and Thursday night Karaoke a few weeks back and enjoyed so much, I returned 2 weeks later. People are so friendly, lots of fun Karaokeers and Tabby the bartender MASTERS the bar and gets you your next beer before you know you're low!“

“Nice, friendly local bar. We went for dinner here on Saint Patricks Day and they had a Corned Beef Platter on the menu. Everything was tasty, service was good. However, its an all cash bar. They have an ATM, fees are $2.50 ( plus bank fees =/). Would like to go again and try the regular menu as well.“

“So this was a take out order, and we were looking for Comfort Food. We found just that in an order of plain chicken wings and an order of macaroni and cheese. The wings were large, super crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, nicely seasoned. The al dente spiral macaroni held onto the generous amount of creamy and yummy cheese sauce. We’ll be ordering it again!“

“I have been here a few times and I mean it is a typical pub like any other. It's pretty clean and it can get full. I had their burger one drunken night and I knew it was good but I didn't quite remember it. So today my husband and I got their burger again and HOLY, it is one of the best I have had in JC. My husband actually told the bartender the story about how we tried a hyped up burger in the area and it was so so and she actually told the owner about it and he made us the burger from scratch. This place is very JC and they have such great service and food!“

“This was on my list to visit and I was able to do so today. I had dinner there and the steak was good but wish it came out warmer... I think it was waiting for my friend's salmon to be cooked as her food was hotter. The mash potatoes was hot though. The espresso martini was good definitely deserves a return. Service was absolutely excellent. Mauricio was pleasant, personable, and charming also funny.Overall lovely place I would return to, for sure..maybe they have brunch I'll need to check but then again maybe not as it opens at 4 pm.Parking: There is a parking lot but it doesn't look huge and it's across the street from the establishment.. You can do street parking I don't believe I saw any meters.“

“Americana ambience and bar food with a slight and pleasantly surprising spin on the norm. Stopped in one afternoon with the kids after a trip to Panda and was surprised at the simple menu that made me want one of everything. Also very accommodating and fair amount of options regarding dairy free. We ordered burgers, dogs, fries and pretzels (which I can't find on the online menu). I can't praise the burgers enough. As a native of Dyker Heights and a regular in Bay Ridge, I have found it harder and harder to find a good burger but this spot is right on the money. The flavor profile of the dogs was right on and the pretzel was just as good as my homemade German pretzels. Whether there's are made in house I don't know but they are good. I loved the ambiance, music is classic rock, 90's alternative, that kind of vibe and occasionally have live bands. While I wouldn't take my kids here on a Friday night, definitely great for an early family dinner or possibly even a weekend lunch. I walked by this place many times and never thought much of it but I was more than pleasantly surprised and will definitely be going back. Prices are also very reasonable. Reason I gave 4 stars is I'm not a big fan of the potato bun and there was a hair in my food.Dietary restrictions: Dairy free optionsParking: Difficult to park. There are lots for other stores but you run a high risk of being towed. It's by a busy intersection and generally high traffic area so parking is tough.“

“Very good! Stopped by as it's a quick walk from Hoboken. Service was so nice and food was good! We shared chicken sandwich and pulled pork nachos. They also have a few cocktail options that were very good. Portions were great to share and we would love to come back to try other things. Would recommend, thanks for a great brunch!“

“We met our friends here on a Friday night. Nice Irish pub. Not very busy at all for a Friday night, no problem getting a table. Our friends had eaten already so they just had drinks. My husband & I had cheesesteak & French dip sandwich, both were really delicious. Our server was very nice,friendly, food came out very quick. I normally hesitate to order roast beef sandwiches because sometimes, its really stringy, this meat was delicious & piled high. I opted for mashed potatoes instead of fries, so good“

“When it comes to food, I am a big food snob. I've been living in Staten Island for 34 years and I passed this place when it was Rusty's a million times. I met a colleague of mine for drinks and food here and it did not disappoint. The prices were fair, the place was new and fresh, inclusive of the bathroom (this is very important LOL). The drinks had a generous pour of booze and the food was excellent. Reading thru some of the bad reviews, they may have had a couple of off nights however none of them made sense to me. We both ordered a roast beef sandwich. I had the South Shore. It was fantastic. The beef was juicy, the bread fresh, everything was great. In addition to a pair of roast beef sandwiches, we ordered a hot pretzel and the apple-cinnabon dessert. Everything was great. In addition to this, we got to chat with Edward who had just started his shift serving us animals (he was a gentleman) as well as Rusty (former owner of Rusty's) who gave us a little history lesson on the transition of Rusty's to Point Tavern. I will definitely be back again as it was a good place to have a drink or have some drinks and grab some good pub food. There is a bar area, separate dining area as well as an outdoor space. The surrounding streets offer ample street parking.“

“We went to the 101 Pub to watch a Knicks game and the bartender was extremely accommodating. Tim put the game on for us on the TV in front of us. They have many TVs at the bar. “This is a great bar to watch the eagles games! It feels like you are right in the heart of Philly and you can always can get a drink relatively fast! In the fall when it's still warm, they have a set up on 1st street where they block it off and set up tables and TVs to watch the game.“

“The other day I got, La Galera Centro Americana Restaurant, for lunch. I ordered their Meatballs w/ Black Rice & Red Beans. It was absolutely delicious! I asked the lady for more veggies than rice, and she happily obliged. I really loved their Meatballs, and also the Red Beans. Excellent flavors to combine. The ladies at the front desk were really nice and attentive. It seems like a nice, quaint, family type of place to eat. And for just a little over $10 was a complete steal.
