“Had an unforgettable experience at this place. Tried appam, idiyappam, porotta, kochi special chicken curry, chemmeen ularthiyathu, mango lassi, butter milk. Everything was so good and took me back to kerala. I was so content after the meals and thanks to everyone there for being so welcoming and homely. Special thanks to Chef Mathew who gave pazham pori and payasam as complimentary dessert. It was heavenly. Sadly I don't have even one photo but cannot recommend this place enough specially for mallus.“

“2 Fridays ago we went to CC/Cross Culture in Princeton and had Shrimp Nargisi, Shrimp Vindaloo and lentils. Food was great as usual.Today we were in Hamilton and rather than carb up on pizza, we decided to take a chance on Singh’s Kitchen.BEST decision ever!Dare to say the food was even better than CC.That Vindaloo at level 7 was truly amazing. Will definitely be coming back. Shrimp Nargisi, although not on the menu, was made specially for us. It was as good, if not slightly better than CC.The ambiance is not Cross Culture, more of a homey pizza place but looks clean and smell is not your typical Indian restaurant…!Chef, even came out and asked our opinion of the Shrimp Nargisi. Our answer was… it has to be on the menu.Finally also ordered Chana Masala and for dessert Gulab Jamun. Both out of this world.“

They give good options working within a budget if required, and accommodate requirements like no-garlic and/or no-onion if necessary. They provide hot boxes and delivery (and set up if needed) for large orders which makes it easy on event organizers.“

“Lets Start Here..... The website has an issue, The menu has the wrong days they are open, and the prices are different. But those are small things and I would just suggest giving them a call to make sure they are open. Ambiance of his place is what you would expect. You are not going there for a 5 star luxury experience. This is a local family owned Indian spot with great food. It is very clean but it is not going to be on the cover of Restaurant Interiors anytime soon. Service was great. The gentleman apologized for the information being incorrect, was very polite and my food was ready on time. Now the Food. As my cohorts opened their containers every dish looked correct. Not too creamy, just enough Ghee floating on top. The consistency of each meal was what you would expect. Flavor was excellent, rice was fresh, we couldn't have asked for anything more. This will become our new Indian lunch spot moving forward.“

“We had a party in our backyard which included around 80 guests. Rottu kadai has a very good variety of dosas and each one of them tastes amazing. All our guests throughly enjoyed the experience of live dosa and the food. Kids especially had a lot of fun watching the making of and pizza and ice cream dosas and eating them. They went above and beyond in getting dosas ready very quickly. On top of dosas, their chutney, Sambar, idly and variety rices were delicious.We had a wonderful experience with Arun and his team!! “Food menu is diversified and the taste is bland to match varied people. Kitchen is clean, staff are maintaining the values wearing all necessary things. Concern is with organizing the orders and collecting it. We visited as a family of three, including toddler. My husband stood in a queue for 15min to enter the order. Now the real hunt starts here, we opted food from different sections like Quesadilla, chat and dosa. All are different counters again we need to wait in even longer queues which are served on first in first out irrespective of order number. People who ordered later and are more in number as family can join each into one queue easily but we are just two but three different counters. It took an hour to collect the food which does not match our taste too. Very disappointed. With kids it will be very hectic. After collecting all the food we need to pay the bill.“

“This is a 4.5 star review:I got chana masala. It was amazing, properly spicy, like punjabi chole. Chole were soft and mashed as they should be.Downside was that my Naan was hard on the edges and stale.Much better than anything near Nassau: Mint, Dvaraka, Chennai. I’m glad they don’t offer rice for free with entrees because it’s unnecessary carbs.By the way, all meat is halal according to the very nice owner.“

“I had a party at home for 50 for my daughters birthday and catered all the food from Mrs Kumar’s Monroe NJ and the food was GREAT, we had a live Dosa station and a variety of dosas masala dosa, spicy gun powder, dosa paneer, dosa cheese, Mysore masala dosa, ghee dosa and green chili onion dosa the dosa station was a huge hit of the party all my guests loved it. Then we had chicken biryani, fish pakora, tandoori fish, chicken kadai, jeera rice, palak dal, Guti vankaya, vegetarian Manchurian, peanut chutney, coconut chutney, sambar, raita carrot halwa to name a few.Mrs Kumar staff was very friendly courteous and they took good care of my guests. I had a 6 member crew of Mrs Kumar who did a splendid job. They were so nice to the kids older people all the guests. I had guests of varying ages.The party was a great success and Mrs Kumar Food is superb. “We stopped here after a visit to temple near by. Restaurent was easily the reachable , ample car parking , clean , well maintained , enough table for dine in about ~70 people. There is also see through kitchen from dining area. Many items in the menu are freshly made. This restaurant is from our region in India and we had an expectation to the same taste. Though the food are tasted good but not comparable to authentic taste. Services was great and people are very attentive. Food cost is bit on higher side but that was expected for the brand(assumed). Their speciality is veg sambar (lentils gravy with veg), was not up the par, same goes for chutney and other sides. We had tasted plain dosa , raga dosa , panner dosa , idly , Pongal , sweet , Kothu Partha, chilli panner, coffee, poori kilangu, chenna battura, ghee roast etc., all were good but not excellent except the chilli panner. I will visit again sometime later to confirm if that is the standard here.“

“Went there looking at the mixed reviews and not sohigh hopes and also it was the closest. The tandoori platter was amazing and the star to the show. The meat was perfectly done. Very juicy and tender and comes on a sizzling platter. There was fish, lamb chops and variety of chicken tikka. Absolutely loved it. The guava mocktail was great as well. Very well garnished and presented.But the main course we ordered, chicken curry, egg curry and paneer makhaniLoved how paneer makhani tastes. But the chicken and egg curry was overly spiced and too many random masala in it. No set taste.I’d order something else from the menu next time. Our selection included the delectable vegetarian appetizers Cut Mirchi and Chili Mushroom, along with the Non-vegetarian delights of Hyderabad Chicken Samosa and Garlic Shrimp. “Rating is primarily for the food and for the huge collection of Paranthas. That too 100% vegetarian. It is impossible to find authentic paranthas outside India. This place has 100 varieties of paranthas (see the list in image). Definitely going to be our frequent food point from now onwards.We ordered Parantha number 1 and 46.We also ordered Choley Bhature.Everyone at the restaurant was very friendly and it was busy when we arrived. “I have contacted Jhopri to cater for my daughters birthday, from the start the staff especially Nilesh was very welcoming, helped us taste a few dishes on the Menu. We requested customizing the dishes to accommodate dietary restrictions and also wanted to include a few dishes that werent available on the menu, the staff was able to accommodate our request.On the day of the event, to my surprise all the dishes were prepared on-site rather than being prepared at the restaurant and transported to the venue, which is what typically happens. Team Jhopri coordinated very well to server fresh meals to all the guests. Dishes included Spinach Chat (live station), Vepudu chicken, Fish Amritsari, Veg Hakka Noodles, Jhopri Special Biryani, Veg Biryani, Goat Curry Andhra Style, Paneer Tikka Masala, Bhindi Masala, pineapple Kesari & Rasmalai. All the dishes were delicious, the guests raved about the food and everyone enjoyed the live chat station. All the guests made sure to mention to me that the food was amazing and they had one of their best meals ever.
