“We stopped in to get a cheese pie on the way to the drive in and it was so good. Perfect ratio of cheese and bread. Some small shops have cheese sliding off but not this one! It was just done perfectly. Will be our go to when we go to the drive in!“

“Freshest ingredients and BEST bread you can get. The owners are so nice! Even gave me a couple pieces of chicken cutlets they just made for free. Best chicken cutlets I've ever had, so crispy and thin. My parents and I each had the #22 which has fried eggplant, fresh moz, and roasted red peppers. Incredible. I couldn't recommend the eggplant enough. I love coming here and you have to go if you are in the area.“

He is the most sweetest man I have ever spoke with on the phone. This is my first time ordering a huge order for my work place and he helped me plan everything and I was so nervous to because it's my first ordering for my work place and trying out NJ pizza. I only know NYC pizzas lol. I am getting off topic here. I highly recommend this place for anyone. They are so welcoming and you can definitely tell they care about their clients needs. “Visiting from Chicago and I have to say this was the best Italian sandwich I’ve ever had. I got the chicken milanese which was perfect because I love fried cutlets. It had the perfect balance of flavors with the roasted red peppers and other toppings. It was a big enough portion to satiate my appetite and gave me energy for the rest of the day. “Always searching for new pizzerias, I stopped in for lunch at Pizza Rustica yesterday. This restaurant is located in a strip mall off Main Street in Rockaway. There's plenty of parking in the lot in front. The place is big inside with plenty of seating. The counter is on the right with a few small tables. To the left is a large dining room. I always love when there's plenty of choices of pies for slices, and they had an excellent selection here. I chose a slice of broccoli rabe with sausage. That combo is great and you don't find that on pies too often. Very friendly server behind the counter giving details on other pies. It was a fun stop and I definitely recommend!“

This time our experience was completely different from 2018 (old review below and it doesn't reflect current feelings at all).We were promptly seated upon coming in and had a great experience from then on our! We had ordered the "Joe's" fried calamari appetizer. Wow! Let me tell you it was one of the best, and most tender, pieces of calamari I have ever had! Granted, I am bummed that they don't offer the tentacle legs in with the calamari but the flavor was absolutely delicious!!!Our meals were very tasty and the service was excellent as well! I will definitely be returning for that calamari alone!!!!¡2018 review: I haven't eaten there in a year and me and a friend were out for a walk last night. We stopped in to grab an Italian sandwich to go and some mozzarella sticks. We get back to my apartment and they forgot to put on any onions, they forgot the oil and vinegar (actually they put droplets of it on). Now we get to the meat. There basically was none!!!!! They put two thin slices of HAM and two thin slices of salami and one slice of provolone. It was the skimpiest sandwich I ever gotten from a restaurant. Subway sandwiches give you more.It was an insulting meal! Needless to say....i don't see any reason to go back for another 3 years now. So sad.“
