The owner was a delight to speak to and his staff was very kind and attentive. They were able to make accommodation for me (dairy free) and provided recommendations. The table came with bread and a spread. It was fantastic! We ordered pappardelle bolognese - wow so good! The pasta tasted so fresh! You can tell it was house made. We also ordered a sandwich to split. We packed half of it up, as we were so full. The portions are huge. I haven't tried any of their bakery items and have always gotten my food to-go but they do have a wide selection of foods from every category, and have ample seating available for those wishing to dine in. Parking is a little weird as the shop is at the top of a hill, and the area tends to be swarmed with police cars. But the lot is big enough you won't have any trouble getting a spot. If you're looking for a sandwich recommendation, listen to what all the reviews are saying and try to the eggplant - you won't be disappointed. It isn't even just the eggplant, all the ingredients come together well. The mozzarella is extremely fresh too. They also have several other spreads and toppings you can substitute or add on if you wish if you prefer to customize your sandwich. Price might seem a little high for a sandwich, but the portion size makes up for it, and to be honest it's pretty in line with competitors.“

“The food here is DELICIOUS! We didn't have a reservation (this place books fast apparently, so make one!) but were kindly seated in between reservations. The bread in the beginning with olive oil was perfect, drinks were delicious and the main event was amazinggggg. Get the chicken parm!! This is the Italian restaurant you go to when you want a filling and flavorful Italian meal. The decor inside was lackluster but am looking forward to dining outside when it gets warmer out under the pretty lights.“
“Came here 2 years ago 10 minutes before closing and made an offer on pizza they most likely planned to throw out. I paid 20 bucks for 5 boxes of miscellaneous high end pizza slices they were going to get rid of anyways and went home a happy man, me and my buddies smacked on decedent, delicious, classic Italian pizza for 3 hours straight and it was the highlight of our trip to NYC (we got pizza on the way back) One of the workers there watched Dragonball Z and we complimented one of the drawings he had drew on the wall of a character from the show. I enjoy the Olivia salad, steak sandwich, and believe their pizza sauce is the best in the area (other places make it too salty or tasteless).
