“Everything (almost) that you could ever want in a taco place. Really fresh food, generous portions, the veg was perfect, the chicken and beef were perfect... the Birria consume was drinkable... not a single complaint. While they don't have alcohol, there is a liquor store next door. I have a confession though... do not mix Jarritos Lime with Patron tequila. It is not innovative nor Marguerita.... It tasted like the Mullet of cocktails. Do not cut your own hair. Jarritos is not a mixer. There is table service so this is a great place to enjoy simple foods made perfectly. It is cash only but they have a ATM on premises. I think Orange is under rated in this country so I am also grateful for my Orange "fix. This place is therefore also A great place to eat, convalesce, and contemplate Eminem's contrarian view on whether or not anything rhymes with Orange.“
“El Ranchero is my favorite taqueria in the bayshore. The tacos are the best in the area and the mole is delicious. The food is fresh and the service is fantastic. I recommend this to anyone! A wonderful place to practice my spanish! El Ranchero es mi taquería favorita. Los tacos son los mejores de la zona y el mole es delicioso. La comida es fresca y el servicio es fantástico. ¡Yo recomiendo esto a cualquiera!“
“If I could I'd give this place 100 stars! Their chicken tacos are by far my favorite, after four years of not living in NJ I had to come back to get these tacos, they are so delicious. Their guacamole flight is also so good, must try their pork belly guac and spicy jam one. Órale is doing it right!!“
“I stopped by on my way home from the gym. I order an al pastor burrito. It was really seasoned well and flavorful. It wasn't small and it wasn't huge either. It was a good size. I left feeling full but not stuffed. I'm looking forward to trying their tacos.“
“they have a great menu of foods. there burritos are so amazing and filling. other than there menu food they also have freshly made dinners that are so mouthwatering. any foody would love this place and there portions are very genrous and not expensive at “
“It was our first time trying Salvadorian food and must say, we were very impressed!! The pupusas (stuffed flatbread made out of corn or rice flour) were incredible. We tried two different varieties - Loroco (a herb) with cheese and squash with cheese. There are several vegetarian filling options for the pupusas. We also had the pechuga a la plancha (chicken breast) and the typical breakfast. Both were delicious, with such a great mix of flavours. They also sell many local snacks and drinks. Overall, we loved this place and it felt great trying out a new cuisine.Vegetarian options: Pupusas (flatbread made out of corn or rice flour) have many vegetarian selections. Two other dishes available for vegetarians.“
“We drove right past it but THANK GOD we were able to turn around and get to it the food was heavenly juicy hot and suuuuper tasty the cook we spoke with was amazingly patient as he could see we wanted the entire menu but didn’t know how to order it lol the man was a saint and got us exactly what we wanted we were in such disbelief that such amazing tacos came from such a small spot but it’s clearly a top shelf establishment and will continuously recommend this place“
“It was a great find for lunch. Was craving Mexican for lunch and it hit the spot. I got a chicken tamale and al pastor tacos. The tamale was delicious. Good amount of chicken and sauce. I almost ordered more to bring home. The tacos were pretty good. The al pastor was a bit bland and didn't have much pineapples. The tacos were big and filled with meat. My coworkers all finished their meals. One of them who is a California local gave it the place an approval stamp. Fairly priced meal for the amount of food we got.“
“This place has a lot of great gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options, with no modifications needed since the dishes are already made that way.My favorites are the Al Pastor and Brussel Sprout tacos, really flavorful! Their tortilla chips are also pretty good. There has always been tables available when we’ve gone, and the service has always been fast.Vegetarian options: Beyond meat, plant based proteins availableDietary restrictions: Gluten free“
“My party of 3 had a nice time at Viva Mexico! To start, we ordered two horchatas and they were good. For our entrees we got the steak Mexican quesadilla, shrimp fajitas, and the grilled veggie sandwich. The steak Mexican quesadilla was very flavorful and the hot sauce that came with it really tide the entire thing all together. It was very tasty just a little messy. The shrimp fajitas were also very good I just wish the corn tortillas were a little bigger to be able to hold all the food together without it falling apart. Lastly the veggie burger was a good eat for my vegan brother although he wished there could’ve been more options on the menu. The staff was very tentative and friendly. Overall we had a nice time here and likely will be back!!!“
“Food was good, tasty and good quality. The portions tend to be a bit small. Staff was very friendly, although the service was a little slow. The atmosphere is pleasant, good retro Tex-Mex style decoration. It still tends to be noisy in the sports bar area. So if you want somewhere quieter, unless the patio area is open (which is often not the case in winter), this is not the place. Overall a good place to visit at least once, but nothing extraordinary.“
“I love going to this place, there is excellent service and the meals that I really like are the crazy nachos and the cakes and especially the Tinga toasts, they are delicious, I really like them, I recommend them ???I love going to this place, there is excellent service and the foods that I really like are the crazy nachos and the cakes and especially the Tinga tostadas, they are delicious, I like them a lot, I recommend them ???“
“This is a small, local restaurant with some amazing authentic food. Wonderful owners ...if you are looking for a great local restaurant, check this place out! If you're a vegetarian, they will create things off the menu as a vegetarian dish...very accommodating!“
“Amazing amazing amazing!! The authentic Mexican food from this local joint managed to impress us.. we tried the veggie burrito, cheese flautas and mushroom huraches.. each dish was better than the other. The sauces and compliments were yummy. This joint is mostly for take out because there was not much place to sit inside. We are definitely visiting again!Vegetarian options: Mushroom, cheese or veggie options available under most categories except tacos.“
“This restaurant is very welcoming not to mention overall delicious. The customer service is extremely friendly with bilingual staff for English speakers, dine in with a tv and a beautiful cultural environment. The food is always speedily prepared and top notch Mexican cuisine. I love this place, I love the workers and how friendly they are, I love the food. 10/10Kid-friendliness: High chairs provided and they are so sweet to my daughter she smiles every time she sees the owner :)“
“We stopped here on our way home from NYC. The food was good. I had the Yum Yum Shrimp Bowl. The shrimp was great as was the Yum Yum Sauce and I appreciated getting some veggies in with the broccoli, the rice was a touch bland, perhaps overpowered by the Yum Yum sauce.. They had a gender neutral bathroom which was clean. The service was great with friendly staff. It was a great stop after escaping the city traffic to grab a bite at a reasonable price, use a clean restroom, and not loose too much travel time because of the convenience of the location.“
“I highly recomend the Lunch Specials such as the Mexican Chicken, Steak a la Mexicana and Chicken Stew! The Corn, Queso, Flan, and their Burritos are super nice too. If you go during the even you will have an amazing time with their manager Julie!“
“Before your butt hits the seat, someone is placing some excellent chips and salsa on the table. You now know you've made the right choice of where to indulge in your taco craving. Or quesadillas. I'm personally fond of the lamb tacos - you can opt for spicy or not. There are a lot of decent tacos in Jersey City (less so in Hoboken unfortunately). Taqueria is the king. No matter which taco you get, it tastes excellent and the pricing is fair. ($3.50 each) Also asked for a whisky sour - $8. Wild right?Staff are also very friendly! The time for reading is over, the time for tacos is now.“
“I'm surprised this place has so many poor reviews. I ordered through Uber eats and it arrived very quickly. I got the red chicken enchiladas, a shredded chicken taco and chips and salsa as well as a side of nacho cheese. The chicken in the tacos was a little dry but had great flavor. Kind of like a Tinga. The enchiladas were pretty spicy, but I liked that. Beans and rice were also solid. I'm sure the nacho cheese sauce came out of a can but that was great as well. They have wonderful salsa and I especially enjoyed the habanero salsa. Will definitely be ordering again“
“Went there with friends for karaoke Thursdays and atmosphere was nice. Wait staff good, and drinks fair priced. Can not rank food, as did not have any this visit. Not sure if these were regulars, but if you ever are there when Maureen is, she's got a killer voice and wonderful vibes.“
“The quesadillas are huge and filled with meat of your choice, and cheese. I got the carne asada, which was so flavorful! The pupusas are big and made fresh when ordered. Thin masa and delicious! My husband is Salvadoreño and he loved them. Also got the birria quesadilla. Consome so good, you could just drink it straight! Absolutely amazing place. Must try. Oh, and the owners are super friendly!“
“I've been enjoying the incredibly delicious and authentic Mexican food from Los Tres Chilitos since I first moved to JC in 2010, and while so many other things in this city have changed, the quality of the food here has been constant. My husband and I go at least once per month to enjoy our favorite dishes (sometimes more often) and this was true even when we lived in a different neighborhood for several years. I can't recommend this place enough! And while you can't go wrong ordering anything on their menu, their tinga de pollo is definitely my favorite meat of theirs, so I suggest trying that in your entree.“
“I’ve been going to this restaurant for years I’ve moved to 5 different towns and I still drive back just to eat their homemade food. I’ve recommended this food to all my friends and family and I will continue to recommend there delicious food if you love Mexican food this restaurant is #1 in all of Hudson county and any surrounding counties“
“To be honest, I wasn't crazy about what I got the first time that I visited my Mexico, but I tried it again and have loved everything else that I've gotten. I'll chalk it up to just ordering the wrong thing. Their tacos are amazing, their quesadillas are delicious (note that they serve both Mexican quesadillas & more Americanized quesadillas, I've only had the Mexican ones), and their homemade salsas are incredible! They have convenient hours and great customer service, even calling me when I forgot something in the store. I'd highly recommend My Mexico if you're in the area!“
“It was a total success what we ordered as the corn cup, everything was delicious, you can see the quality of the food and the attention given by the girl Adriana made us feel comfortable and comfortable from the beginning, her good energy and good treatment completed the experience, without a doubt despite not having a very large facility, we will gladly return“
“BEST TACOS EVER.Everything on the menu is great. Seriously you could pick anything, and it will be great. The shrimp tacos will give you a reason to get out of bed in the morning. Don’t sleep on the carnitas or the carne asada tacos either. The beef burrito... WHEW! This place is a real JC gem.“
“Food rating:1. Ceviche tostada - 9/102. Tamales - 6/103. Tacos:- Barbacoa - 8/10- Bistec - 9/10- Chorizo - 8/10- Fish - 8/10Overall food was quite excellent. Meat is tender and cooked to perfection. Our server, Kelvin, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Thank you for a lovely experience. We will be back!“
“The location has been many restaurants over the years, and nothing really lasted long, that is until Sabor A Veracruz, and I'm glad it's here! It is the closest Mexican place to my house, and it's an easy walk. In my opinion, it is better than most of the other Mexican restaurants in the area. The owner is very friendly, and will talk with you (if he has any time; it's usually very busy). The food is excellent and fresh. I grew up in Southern California, where Mexican food is plentiful, so I am picky when it comes to well-made food, and Sabor A Veracruz is as good as anything I had growing up. Also, sometimes he will have a special dish that he only makes occasionally, like his beef soup (so delicious!). Ask if they have any special dish when you go.“
“A great Mexican option for our area. It's not just basic good. Although it may not look like your traditional Mexican restaurant, the food coming out of that kitchen is top notch stuff. The staff working there is very nice and accommodating. They are are always smiling and look happy serving you such great meals. This is definitely an Easter egg in McGinley Square.“
“The best restaurant in New YorkThe food was amazing. The service was amazing. Honestly, we all got different menu items and they were all equally delicious delicious delicious. You have to try it . My favorite was the Churrasco / Rabo / moro guandule / pernil arroz abuchuela / ALL THE MENU! Highly recommended. If I return to NEWYORK on vacationif I would return with my family“
“This mall has some good choices and Qdoba is great. I love their flavorful food. They have the best queso. Catering is spot on and they even host fundraisers where they give back 25% of business you bring in. That way more than other restaurants.Vegetarian options: Veggie bowls burritos tacos, nachos and quesadillas. Impossible also available“
“When I find a gem, I share it! Yes, yes, yes! Hallelujah to good food! We were trying to find some tacos to eat before going home and I came across a little taco truck that I had to try! They have the pastor tacos in the traditional rotating-roster, and they were delish! I also had an elote ? with everything, and a tiny bit of the powder-picante was enough for me to get a kick of spice in my mouth that turned on all the right taste buds! The lady who took care of us was polite, fast, and so kind! I will definitely be back to try the other tacos they have!!“
