“I Loved My Experience Here! It Was My First Time At This Location And I Love That Its A Sit Down Restaurant. They Offer Hookah And BYOB! The Service Was Amazing And The Staff Was Super Friendly and Attentive To Our Needs. I Love That The Atmosphere Is Kind Of Dark And They Provide These Tap Lights That Minimize Privacy. I Had The Honey Garlic Salmon Bites And They Were Amazinggggg! Me And My Guest Both Got The Stuffed Chicken With Pasta And Shrimp. The Shrimp Was Super Fresh And Tasty, Chicken Cooked To Perfection And The Rasta Pasta Had Just Enough Rasta In It. The Owner Was Amazing I Love His Spirit And He Is A Very Good Person Who Is Passionate About His Business. I Won A Competition And They Compensated With Dinner, A Nice Bottle Of Champagne And $100! I Cant Wait To Go Back Here Hopefully For Brunch. 10/10“

“As far as food it was good , very big portions. Fairly priced. My waiter was nice and polite but as far as the greeting lady with the nasty attitude makes me never want to come back again. Would I suggest for someone else to go ? Yes it will I return unfortunately no.“

“So good when I say so good I mean it.... it was so good that after a few bites I had to stop and take a nap. Yes I said it is like Thanksgiving Dinner... the Food is so comforting it melts your soul to make you feel like you are at home. From tenderness and the spices of the Brisket to the beautiful baked beans bountiful of flavor to the creamy Dirty Mac and cheese mixed with the flavourful pulled pork. “My visit to Madre & Son Soulfood Cafe was a great experience. The waitress was pleasant and the food was very delicious! I had the oxtail, potato salad, yams, and fried chicken, which was well seasoned. Definitely coming back and do recommend their food and catering services.“

Great place to treat yourself or someone after a hard time.Food portions were heavy, 3 people split 2 entrees and 2 starters and had food to take home. “The after church crowd was here on Sunday and I completely understand why. The food was every thing it needed to be & then some. I ordered the shrimp & grits with a side of eggs. They serve breakfast all day and have a vegan menu. The restaurant is connected to an apartment building so be careful not to pass when looking for it. It has a black & white striped triangular umbrella hovering over it. The staff were kind and the atmosphere was extremely down to earth, but not ghetto. This is a great mom & pop shop that you should fed check out. Be sure to try a flavored lemonade or iced tea. They are tall and one was more than enough. I didn't notice any ASL speaking staff, it wasn't needed, but there is space for wheelchairs. There is also street parking so be mindful. Only downside, our table wasn't exactly clean when sat down, but it was obvious they were busy. Overall, this is a great place for brunch or Sunday takeout dinner.“
