“Let me say their food is spectacular. The best soulfood i ever tasted, BUT !! The ambiance and accommodations aren't so great, Take out is suggested. Their bathroom isn't up to part in only one bathroom for men or women . The food service was ok as well ,but if you're dining in, they give you plastic spoons , ketchup packages, and Tartar sauce packages .A lot of food was limited on Sunday like salmon bites,no ribs, etc ,They give free refills on the house , Then there's a bakery next door which connects to this facility PLEASE YOU MUST TRYParking: There is not a lot of parking, depending on what time you show up you will have to Double park“

“I love this restaurant! We order delivery every weekend! The workers are so nice. The food is delicious. My family and I love the mac n cheese and collard greens in particular. The beef stew is delicious and the fried chicken wings are so good. I am a big fan.“

The entire staff was funny and exuberant, made me feel welcomed and quite frankly at home. “First of all, let me make sure you guys understand that I’m a 29 year Brooklyn native. Not knowing anything about southern cuisine I strolled into Krewe as I explored Jersey City. Before even getting through the doors I’m greeted by calming music leading me into an eye catching environment filled with tasteful art along with festive decorations.Smiles all around taking me to my seat as my stomach began to growl with anticipation. I’m a heavy eater of chicken so I went with the Chicken Po Boy….didn’t regret a thing. The south cut up chicken thigh overflowing out of my sandwich was a sight to see and the juiciness left my tastebuds back flipping. Water for my beverage as I’m a simple man. On a reccomendation I tried the Grit Fries - never knowing what grits truly were. To my surprise the delicious crispy crunchy outer layer was nothing compared to the soft warm cloud in the middle. I was sold, sandwich so flavorful along with a side of deep fried heaven - what more can I ask for from my new lunch spot.Service was amazing as people were warm and friendly. Cooks did an amazing job and the food was complimented by a very clean and vibrant environment. You’ll definitely catch me there again!“
“The place is like a very large house. Funky decorations make for a pleasant atmosphere. We were promptly greeted as we entered and seated at a comfortable table for our party of 3. We ordered blue crab beignets for the table. These delicious little bites were a nice starter. A nice drink menu offered a bunch of different old fashioneds. We ordered brisket, fried chicken and fried catfish. All were exceptional as was the efficient, cheerful service. I don't rate 5 stars lightly, this place deserves it!“
“Chicken was tender and tasty.Buttermilk biscuit was dense and fluffy. I know it doesn't make sense, but that's how I can describe the texture. I like that combination, though.I wished the chicken and biscuit were warmer. It was more of a room temperature by the time I started eating them.“

“Had the catfish poboy at uptown night Market! They told me 15 minutes was done in 15 minutes. It was a large fried catfish filet and it was perfectly crispy. I think the tartar sauce may have needed a little more salt but overall great experience. Reminded me of Louisiana“
