“I'll start with the breathtaking panoramic views!!!! What a stunning restaurant!!!! If you are not familiar with what to order off of a Korean menu, just ask for recommendations. From start to finish what an excellent dining experience! Right before theBilly Joel concert, very fitting to have a bottle of red & a bottle of white! If you're in the K-Town area 1250 Broadway to be exact, go straight to the penthouse!!!!“
“Higly recommend for hong kong cuisine in midtown. I had the duck noodle soup. Soup base and noodles were good. The duck was okay so I probably try some other protein instead next time. They have hk style milk tea which really made me happy. The portuguese tart flaky pastry crust and the filling was really good.“
“Best Korean bbq in the area. The quality of the meat is consistently phenomenal and better yet, the service is the best in the city. They are attentive, polite, efficient and friendly. I’ve been going here since they opened over the years, and I always look forward to my visits. I highly recommend this place of high quality meat, side dishes, and stews.“
“Was in the NY for the weekend visiting family from FL. Always wanted to try Korean BBQ and this place came up. Absolutely loved it. There was 7 of us walking around and they fit us right in. We ordered the 5-6 meal and 2 appetizers. And it was Plenty for everyone. Half way thru the meal my 10yr old leans over and tells me. "This is the best night of my life." He's a foodie. But check them out you should not be disappointed. Great job guys.“
“I liked the ordering with kiosk option where you could view pictures and customize your orders easily. I chose the Koba bowl. The portion size shocked me! My bowl looked like a mountain. It was satisfying to have that much food and a variety of stuff in only one bowl. Both food and service were amazing! With any order it also comes with a Korean snack of your choice.“
“One of the few AYCE KBBQ spots in the area. Even on a Friday afternoon, this place gets really busy to the point where you have to wait for a table. The price per person is relatively fair compared to other places but I feel like you get fewer options for the Lunch menu. Normally, I would prefer more options but this time I liked having fewer options since I ordered more of the same meats. Rice, side dishes, dipping sauces, and fresh lettuce are all included in the AYCE. Drinks are not.“
“We made a reservation a few weeks in advance which was a simple and easy process. Once arrived, we were sat down quickly. The food was incredible. The wagyu was cooked very well and the sides were delicious as well. Service was great except our first reorder of food took some time.Overall, it was a great experience. We will be back.“
“I came here for the 1st time during restaurant week & I cannot wait to return back to try the rest of the menu. The staff & atmosphere was friendly & welcoming, you could tell locals come all the time. Everything I ordered was tasty, but the star of the show was my main entree, Moqueca (Brazilian fish stew with tomatoes, pepper, onions & coconut milk) - It was both comforting and flavorful. The fish was cooked to perfection (soft, tender & flaked easily with my fork), the coconuts milk stew was rich & robust in flavor, with a smooth enough consistency to coat your spoon. In summary, it was chefs kiss! ?“
“My wife's German grandma loves this place, and often treats us to the family style special. The food is good (certainly the best BBQ you can get in NYC) and the service is always excellent. It does tend to get busy and loud, sometimes louder than is comfortable, but it's always a good time. We went once for lunch, and since it wasn't as busy, that was the best experience we had there. Prices are pretty good, especially for Manhattan. Always have a great time here and love to get good BBQ even this far north!Kid-friendliness: A bit loud for kids, but they put out a coloring page with crayons. There are a few racy pictures on the wall, but they're high up in the corner and my 4 year old didn't notice. She's too focused on the excellent mac and cheese“
“4.3 stars. Need street meat? Good lamb (lean and not gamey) and pork (Chinese roast pork belly with the crispy skin) skewers. The shakey-shakey was not that spicy but a bit too salty. The prices are rising too fast and it’s starting to be not a good value. It was a rainy Sunday 6pm so no line.Vegetarian options: 10 vegetarian skewer options.“
“Food is good but they raised their prices and it's only worthwhile if you can get them to actually bring the dishes you order. Sometimes we have difficulty getting orders in even when they're not that busy. Still, very solid place.“
“I literally dream of this place all the time. I’m not from new york but I go there a couple times a year to visit my best friend and this is always at the top of our list. The food is amazing and the staff are so on top of it. This is the best kbbq I’ve ever tried for real“
“Absolutely outstanding hot pot experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The selection of ingredients was vast and fresh, ensuring there was something for everyone's taste. The broth was flavorful and aromatic, making every bite a delight. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff catering to our every need. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone craving authentic and delicious hot pot.“
“Service is phenomenal, all staff very attentive and constantly ready to clear plates, adjust flames, and switch the grill plate. Our waiter Hira was an excellent waiter!Raised tables and atmosphere are very niceFood would be a 4.5, meat is very good but some cuts were difficult to bite through“
“I love Anytime because the vibe is a bit more fancier than other regular pochas you would go to in Fort Lee or Palisades Park. The servers are always nice and attentive. The food is top notch. If you order the honey makgeolli (rice wine) the servers will slice up real honey and put it in your glass.“
“My favorite place to come after work feels like home my favorite is congee and pork belly over rice and the pork buns it’s all delicious try it for yourself.Vegetarian options: From steam dim sum Buddha delight, spicy mushroom dumplings to mixed mushroom noodle soup even vegetables spring rolls it’s all good to eat.Dietary restrictions: They have many options of food from vegetarian, vegan to carnivorous all can enjoyKid-friendliness: My kids love the pork buns from here they ask me to bring them home dailyWheelchair accessibility: Single floor no steps“
“We were looking for a Korean BBQ that allowed bookings and wasn’t too overpriced. This is it.If you don’t mind the matter in which the seating works, ie you need to climb into your seat, then this place is great. The bbq options are extensive, thou more pork options wouldn’t go a miss. The service is a little manic but it’s what you come to expect in a place like this in the heart of KoreaTown. The martinis were good, so much so we had severalOur only real negative point was the noise levels. Hard to hear each other.“
“The quality (of the food), atmosphere (elegant and modern), and service of this restaurant are top notch. Step into this place and it’s as you’re transported to a restaurant at a fancy Seoul neighborhood. Dinner for 3 cost us $150 which was great value given the quality, atmosphere and service provided. For example, one of our dish was grilled clams and we were blown away by their size. They were gigantic, abundant and FRESH! The patrons were all locals and some families. Will definitely return.Parking: The restaurant has a free parking lot. There's also paid/unpaid (depending on the day/time) street parking, right in front of the restaurant.“
“A party of 10 no problem. Fast and furious the food came out. They did not skip a beat. All the food was very good. Didn't hurt that the proteins were cooked on charcoal. My favorite may have been the seafood pancake and the side of squash though. The bottle's of soju just added to the whole experience. I have no reservation recommending this place. They are pros, a party of 2-25 they got you.“
“Another slam dunk. I've eaten at Don Don twice (and planning to go more soon!) and the cuts of dry aged pork, side dishes and black sesame ice cream is immaculate. Staff is super attentive and friendly as well.If it's your first time, definitely try out the dry age pork tasting. I've also eaten at a handful of KBBQ joints at NJ and although this isn't all you can eat, I left Don Don feeling just as full and satisfied. Will definitely swing by again in the near future after work!“
“Excellent Korean food with reasonable prices. Rice cakes, fried squid, good meat selections and plenty of side dishes. The side dishes are a bit lighter than normal places.Great cocktails as well. Removed from the chaos of KTown. Good alternative for good food.“
“Seriously the best kbbq in ktown, everytime I come great food and service. Even if you do not like intestines they have traditional kbbq options like porkbelly and beef shortribs. We got the classic and marinated assorted intestines, and the spicy grilled chicken as a side, all amazing!!!“
“It was a really nice experience with all of my friends last night. We went out as a group of six and made a reservation ahead of time. I like that the menu was on the phone and so that we could continuously see the menu so that we could keep ordering food when we wanted to. I love the all you can eat, and some of the little special items on the menu or a great addition as well. It was really busy but the ambience was nice. I’ve been to the one in Brooklyn and now I’ve been to the one in Chinatown Manhattan and both experiences were really great and I enjoyed both times out.“
“I picked up my order for take out. The food was ready very quickly. The order included 1/2 chicken, burnt ends, baked beans, and corn bread. All were wonderful. The chicken was falling off the bone and the burnt ends were juicy and fell apart easily. Good smoke flavor. All really delicious. Definitely trying again.“
“It's one of my local favorites and a great place for good Korean BBQ in a quiet setting. Best dish is the Kal Bi (boneless short rib) and I'm also a fan of the Yun Aw (salmon). Both dishes are nicely marinated, juicy and delicious“
“Stopped in here to look at the menu, but ended up getting the sampler and the Yakitori burnt ends which were amazing! There's a great selection of food, which we can't wait to try out, will definitely come back again hungry! Owner is awesome and atmosphere is so homey.“
“This is an amazing restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. When I travel to NYC, this is the first restaurant I go to. I recommend this restaurant to everyone because the food is just so good! I come here once a year and I've never been disappointed. It's so worth the money.“
“Definitely a five star. The 8 spice toufu melt in your month, almost like cheese filling, crispy skin was just right. Mouth watery chili chicken nicely presented, meat is still kinda warm when it is served, flavor is good. Very authentic and exquisite chinese cuisine. Better than many restaurants in China for sure.“
“After visiting the Museum of Moving Image in Astoria we walked up the block and had a nice lunch at Pig Beach BBQ. My husband and I split the sampler platter which we both enjoyed. My favorite was the pulled pork and my husband’s favorite was the ribs.We were both surprised that it was more of a cafeteria style set up instead of sit down. To me that was probably the only drawback. But it was a very laid back casual atmosphere which a lot of people may find appealing.“
“Before leaving New York, I came here specifically to eat skewers and hot pot! The transportation is very convenient in Manhattan's Chinatown, and you can also choose to order hot pot or barbecue a la carte. There are many varieties and the service is very attentive. You can also eat grilled oysters☺️“
“Eating here was a really fun and interesting experience for me and my family who are not really used to Korean food. There were different kind of side dishes that came when we ordered the bbq set which was refilled whenever we finished it. The overall food and service was really great and my family really enjoyed eating here.“
“We had an amazing dinner at the chefs table. The food was really good and they went above and beyond to accommodate a person in our party with dietary restrictions. The drinks were delicious and the service was great overall no complaints and will definitely return.“
“The staff was incredibly sweet and welcoming. This was my first experience doing Japanese Style BBQ where a server helps prepare the meat for you, and they made the experience very special. Both the server and the chef, who was preparing the cuts of meat for us in an open style serving area, would introduce the cut and the kind of sauce or condiment it goes well with, while giving enough time for us to chat and eat before coming back with the next round of cuts. Overall the service, cuts of meat, quality, atmosphere, and service were excellent and I can’t wait to go back again!“
“Slightly hard to write this review as I arrived a bit late to the meal. I went here months upon months ago. Not knowing that this was part of Dun Huang, I thought I went to the wrong restaurant but it turned out it was one and the same which was surprising. I was here with a group of nine others. As I arrived a bit late, the soup dumplings had already been there a while but they were still of very good quality. My favorite of the night was the Salted Egg Yolk & Shrimp Stir-Fried Rice Cakes. The texture of the rice cakes were perfect and the egg yolk complimented it well. I also liked the Dry Fried Shredded Eel & Chives. I also would have preferred them less shredded as I couldn't taste much of the eel texture but the sauce was nice and the blend with the chives added some good depth. The Fried Dough Twist Spicy Chicken or Laziji with Mahua was also surprisingly spicy for a restaurant which is primarily Shanghainese now so I guess they still have some influence from the old Dun Huang. I've had it before with these dough twists from the excellent Peppercorn Station and these rivaled that place even though the chicken there was a bit pricier but then again there was larger pieces of chicken in the latter. The Fish Fillets in Sour Cabbage Soup was also pretty solid as well as the Grilled Lamb Kebabs. You can essentially see Andie's review for the rest of my thoughts as they essentially reiterate hers. Yes it was too hot inside and as I was rushing to get there, I got warmer than most but oh well. Would go back but maybe go during the fall or winter if the AC isn't fixed yet. Mid 4“
“We ate here for a late lunch. We had the hotpot and bbq. The restaurant was clean and modern. We had a language barrier with our waitress but that didn’t make the experience bad and we were able to get all we wanted by the photos on the menu. We got 4 different individual hotpot’s to try. They were good but the vegetable one I was not a fan of but would be perfect for a vegetarian. The food was delicious and I would eat here again when we come back to visit again. This is a must try place.“
“This is a restaurant that I rushed into after seeing a picture of fried rice and dried tofu on the way to the soft tofu restaurant! I ordered braised ribs and shrimp and it was so delicious! The braised ribs were seasoned, the meat was very soft and the portions were plentiful, and the fried rice and corn cheese were delicious, but the dried shrimp were too hard and the shrimp were not whole, so I didn't like it. The side dishes at this place are so delicious! Salted squid, kimchi, fish cake, and salad. It’s been a while since I enjoyed Korean food so much! I think the price is just right. I think I'll go again next time.“
“Whether part of a group or on a solo visit, welcome is given. The staff are attentive, engaging, friendly and humorous. They truly make an effort to ensure that the customers return. The kitchen is tiny, yet the food is tasty.Dietary restrictions: When you share your dietary restrictions with the staff, they listen and advise which dishes are suitable. It is a relief to be heard and accommodated.“
“I couldn't take a picture because I was busy eating. The best raw ribs I've had since coming to the US! It's extremely delicious. People who like meat will like thicker meat. The meat is thick and soft, has a good chew and is full of juice. Not a single flaw. It's not a soju restaurant, it's a rib restaurant. Lastly, I enjoyed the clam sauna and ate kalguksu (noodle soup) in cool clam soup. It's been 7-8 years since I stopped eating kalguksu, cold noodles, and japchae to cut out carbohydrates, but this soup isn't one I can tolerate because it's low in carbohydrates. I ate all the delicious radish radish without any regrets. I promise to try yukhoe sometime soon. Photos were uploaded then. ?“
“Great experience! Came here to try their items and they were generously giving out a tray with variety of traditional Korean food like bulgogi, Kim chi, spicy pork with rice to try for free with small little sweet rice cakes. It was so delicious with generous portions, the staff were very friendly and made sure everyone felt welcomed & taken care of!“
“If you have been eating the average to good burgers for a while, take one bite of a burger at Mel's and your tastebuds will remember what a real burger tastes like!Perfection in qualityFat to beef ratioTasteFreshnessTexturePreparationNot full of salt , just the taste good beef.“
“Dropped by for a final New York meal with friends. The ambiance exudes a delightful, contemporary charm, immaculately clean. Given the gloomy, rainy day, we unanimously opted for soup, which proved to be just what we needed. While it may lean towards the expensive side, the cuisine boasts exceptional quality and flavor. Whether opting for lighter fare or indulging in Korean BBQ, satisfaction is guaranteed upon departure.“
“I find myself loving this place more and more, not only is the food great but the owners are AMAZING!!! It’s black owned, and the love they put in their food just keeps me coming back everytime I’ve had to come to Harlem. The fried foods are made fresh to order which is what you would hope for, and everything else is on point. Exactly what I be hoping for when I crave soul food. Must try!!“
“Danny’s always a pleasure! We have had him serve us a multitude of times and he’s always so nice and helpful. Love gyukaku and he also helped us to get the rewards app!Dietary restrictions: They always ask about your dietary restrictions and accommodate.“
“Went on a saturday peak dinner time for drinks and dinner for two without reservation. Luckily got a table right away and actually was moved a bigger table to fit our food. Great food selection to have with drinks. Price is lil high for the amount of food but it's inflation season, whatever. Service was great, everyone was very nice. Gets a little loud obviously but it was lively and all around good experience“
“prices are very reasonable. they bring out different snack type foods such as kimchi, steamed egg, radish, tripe before you even order. very friendly and attentive. oh and if you're into K-pop they always have a playlist going which we enjoy :)“
“Very good but my main advice is don't go overboard on whatever meats they have on the buffet. Behind a counter they got a whole smoking setup with absolutely tons of meat. Loved it, loved it, LOVED IT but i ended up biting off more than i could chew, literally.“
“It isn’t Texas but definitely a New Jersey establishment serving up Texas BBQ in their cozy indoor/outdoor establishment with some of the nicest staff. The $60 platter is a lot for two people, IMO. Definitely come hungry and with friends and family. The pulled pork and beef were very tasty and good. The Mac and cheese was definitely tasty, they should maybe bake it a bit more to give it a nice crust. The drinks were a bit too strong and on the higher end of value.Service was great. They allowed us to swap out some of the sides. We got fries, corn bread and Mac and cheese for our sides. All tasty.Establishment does have limited onsite parking so get there early and lock in your parking spot. The indoor decor gives off a rustic wooden cabin vibe with fake lanterns. Creative and comfortable.“
“Excellent value for money & fun to cook yourself. The meat was melt in the mouth (kobe short rib & chicken teriyaki) & the garlic shrimp nice and juicy. Would come back for these reasons.Would rate it higher but the vegetables & sides were poor, service mediocre, and despite being busy the place felt a bit lifeless“
“I ate here every week during my internship next door! The wings were incredible and the corn bread was the best I've ever had! The family that owns it are wonderfully kind. I always felt welcomed and appreciated :) I'm finally going back in March and I can't wait“
“Just land at Newark and stumbled across this restaurant. The staff quickly seated all 10 of us. They first served the complimentary tofu, kimchi, pickled veggies. I had the dumpling soup, which was spot on because I was feeling a little under the weather. Others had the spicy beef soup, short ribs soup, bibimbop, and fish. The food is so good!! We were surprised to get such good food for such a reasonable price. The only slightly negative is the we asked for separate checks but instead the split the bill evenly into 2 checks. When we explained the 2 people were on one order, they quickly fixed the mistake.“
