“Halal peri peri chicken. How can I not go visit? This place is absolutely amazing. Exceeded all of my expectations. The restaurant itself has a prayer mat and a corner if anyone wants to go pray or meditate. They also have plenty of seats and the staff goes out of their way to make sure you feel welcomed. Now for the food. The chicken is so juicy and tender, and the sauce they use is simply delicious. Their fries are on another level. We got the fusion fries and the peri peri fries. Also if you get their chicken then be sure to get a side of rice. The rice and chicken pair really well together. Also I love that even if you get the full chicken they give you the option to choose white only (breast and wing) or dark only (leg and thigh) meat. Just a disclaimer for those who don't handle spice well: their hot is hot, and I have a pretty high tolerance for spice. So maybe get medium and ask for the hot sauce on the side.“

“Service was excellent. Food was very good. But some things could be changed. For instance, serving French fries and potato chips with steak cheapens the meal. There were no form of green vegetables in the dinners. Vegetable consisted of some 4 or five dots of purried something and a few tiny cubes of maybe parsnips. Restaurant can't be contacted via phone, only internet. Big problem. Sometimes a customer needs to contact restaurant to speak to someone directly and guickly.. But this is impossible. Overall food was excellent and facility was nicely set up and very appealing looking.“

“This place is amazing. The food was fresh and huge portions. I’ve been here about 3-4 times. I like this restaurant very much. The sangria is phenomenal! Best I’ve ever had. “02.23.24 I was looking for a 'chill spot' conveniently located between work and home. I went on Yelp and this place popped up. I just got off work and I arrived about 10:20pm. This bar/restaurant was still serving food from the entire menu. Andrea made my classic margaritas (5 star). I paired the margaritas with caldo Verde soup (5 star) and clams casino (3 stars). If I get off work early again and I'm not in the mood for typical 'bar food', this is definitely my 'go to' spot.“

“Delicious food, nice sized portions, and the sangria is really good. Would have been 5 stars, but it's a bit expensive...Not enough to keep us away, just be prepared! We shared 1 appetizer, had 2 meals (we did pick the most expensive items on the menu, lobster and Chilean sea bass), 1 dessert, 1 pitcher of sangria, and 2 Irish coffees, and our bill was almost $300. But, we'll be back because it's THAT good!“

“The best BBQ place in the area by far. I cannot say enough good things about the ribs in particular. So much flavor and the portions are very generous. The staff is always very friendly as well, even asking how my day is going when I stop in. Those little things go a long way. I look forward to coming in many more times.“

“Wonderful place ! The cappuccino is the BEST my wife and I have ever had. The orange juice is very fresh and tasty. The pastries that my wife and I have tasted are also very yummy. M y wife always has a veggie omelet and says it is excellent. The bakery/deli is owned and operated by a very kind and warm family who always have time to chat and make you feel very much at home and welcome. My wife and I love Nossa Aldeia.“

“If you're from Portugal you probably already know about Carvalho's in South River and have stood in line to sit down or order takeout in this small Portuguese neighborhood bakery/cafe. Regular customers always make me feel right at home as they welcome me with a warm smile and a bom dia!...while personnel keep order prep, the customer line moving and the tables happy with freshly baked out of this world breads, pastries, coffees, breakfasts and sandwiches. I Visit NJ frequently and while I'm there, I drive to Calvalo's early EVERY morning to have my warm Pastel de Nata (as good as the best in Portugal) before they are gone. The baked goods won't let you down as you're sure to walk out after eating with....Natas, buns, soft cinnamon breads, hearty all grain breads, almond breads, dense corn breads etc... Quality and consistency is guaranteed as you seldom see the owner in the front, always working the kitchen ensuring her team produces the best quality day in and out. “I've ordered from here when I lived close.. now I was visiting someone in hospital and had no wallet on me but the owner Carlos and the sweet girl at the counter gave me a monster take home platters of the tastiest BBQ I've had in long time and he just outright gave me the meal without any money truly act of incredible kindness and class... “We were there for a private party. The wait staff was very attentive! The room was set up comfortably allowing room for guests to move around the room. The food was delicious. Assorted vegetables were cooked and seasoned properly which is not always the case at buffets. The flounder was delicious as were the chicken and meat dishes.I would definitely return to dine here again!“

“I had their Pork Ribs and vegetables, Cod fish cakes. The wife had the Beef Empenadas. I've had ribs from many places, but Barros has the best by far! Portions are large and prices are very fair. Give them a try, you won't go wrong. Nice wide menu for all tastes.“
