Ask them to put the seasoned salt on them. The chicken had great flavor but i wish it wasn't just a sauce they put on top vs marinating it with it. The other thing that i noticed is you have to buy majority of the menu items separately, which i didn't like too much.“

The staff isn't very friendly and they're always in some kind of hurry. The restaurant is dated and not very welcoming and there is no dining area. The quality of food and its flavors make up for their other shortcomings. I will return, but with lower expectations.“

“For starters, let me just state that this was my first time ever eating African food. I had okra, white rice, and debie. This eatery was highly recommended by a friend, and it was delicious. However, the person cooking was really unpleasant when I returned alone one day, and I nearly decided not to return even though I was really craving it. I returned to give it one last try, and I'm glad I did because I visit this place nearly every week. The individual I interacted with during this interaction was really kind and supportive. I haven't tried anything else on the menu, but the white rice and okra combination is AMAZING. The best part is that there is a lot of food and it is quite reasonably priced.“

“Hiba Hala was the only Hala place open on Thanksgiving, for the ones who didn't celebrate the holiday, they offer great food and service. I didn't get to take a picture, I had egg whites and turkey bacon cause they don't serve sausage for some reason, but ok and French toast. I ate it all before my flight to Jamaica. For a tea and breakfast ran me about $18 that blew my mind, but I did enjoy my food and was just happy they were open.“
