“The koshary here is really really good (and vegan!), possibly my favorite meal in Jersey City. (it's a large portion of lentils, chickpeas, rice, and noodles mixed together, with multiple sauces to mix in that really make the dish - only available on Saturdays). The five stars are for the koshary, but the falafel is pretty good too - it's covered with coriander seeds that give it a good flavor (though the accompaniments the falafel comes with in the pita or plate are nothing special).“
“Very delicious food! We tried a lot of different dishes including vegan options & totally enjoyed it. The customer service was very amazing. The staff made sure all the food was good & even checked in to make sure the food wasn't too spicy for one of my friends. So sweet! Definitely coming back!“
“I had tried a few different places to get my chicken over rice with salad and hands down this is the best that I have ever ever tasted great price for the amount you get I highly recommend this truck and my co workers also ordered food and everything was great thank you for “

“This turned out to be my favorite place for hummus bowl. Menu on doordash came with multiple options to customize the bowl. I added Chicken Shwarma, roasted eggplant hummus, tzatziki, harrisha hummus, Garlic jalapeno tahini, roasted pepper tahini, tabbouleh, Garbanzo beans, katamala olives,… and it turned out really really tasty. Tahini shake was just awesome. I highly recommend this place of you are searching for a Mediterranean place in jersey city.“
“This food is absolutely amazing. The person in charge is super friendly and let's the food to be super customizable as per the customer's request. They also give extra to their regular customers. Hands down the best food joint in the Rutgers-NJIT area.“
“I highly recommend this spot!! This is by far hands down the BEST halal food I’ve ever had!! A million times better than the halal guys! This place is very clean, excellent customer service, and the food is absolutely to die for!! I drive from Newark just to get food only from this spot! I cannot wait to go back!!“
“One of the only hand slaughtered halal restaurants in NYC and nj. Great environment, kind staff and great food. Here in Ramadan and loved it, they provided us with a prayer mat and dates. Slightly on the more expensive side but still 100% worth itDietary restrictions: Halal and hand slaughtered“
“Very good service and absolutely amazing food! We had the chilli paneer and chilli chicken for appetizers and goat dum biryani, egg dum biryani, pathar ka gosht for entree.Vegetarian options: We had the chili paneer and it was very delicious!“
“I’m pregnant and asked my husband to drive out to get me a plate of halal from here. From what my husband said the guy who made my plate had amazing service and when I tell you this hit the freaking spot I’m not joking . Plus THEY DONT SKIMP ON THAT FOOD 10/10. My pregnancy cravings have been SO intense . This was just “
“I love this place! This is my favorite comfort food restaurant. It's 100% HALAL!This is the place where Halal eaters can go crazy when they crave fast food type of food, they can eat Cheeseburgers, sandwiches and lot more.I think here I tried my 1st Philly cheesestake sandwich, beef patty, KFC type of chicken, banana pudding, chicken fingers. We like very much their Chicken over rice, grilled chicken salad. The menu is big and all tastes delicious. The guys behind the counter are very courtesy all the time.Open till late night.Very popular place for everyone.Prices are very fair.Just note, there is no bathroomThere is no place to wash Hands. That's a downside.Features: Dividers at checkout“
“Delicious food! Glad to have a halal wing place that’s convenient for me to get to from Bayonne. The staff is friendly and the order was packaged very well for take out. Everything pictured except the mac and cheese were from this restaurant. Our favorite were the hot wing zings and the chicken zinger sandwiches!Vegetarian options: Has falafel items plus sides which are vegetarian.Kid-friendliness: Casual eatery, you can definitely bring kids.Parking: Has a large parking lot.“
“We’ve been going to Amin’s for years. The food is delicious, reasonably priced. Sadly they no longer have dining in since COVID. We no longer live in the area so it’s kind of an inconvenience to go there just for take-out, but still the food is great. We only had $20 cash (this restaurant is cash only) but we got 2 meals for less than $20.“
“The most authentic Pakistani food I’ve had in Jersey City since I came here. Their goat karahi is amazing and the garlic nans are a must when you’re ordering here. However I would advise to take a look inside the packets for confirmation of the correct order if you’ve decided on a takeout.“
“Place is your typical halal chicken spot. This place is one of my go to places if I'm craving a platter. If you're like me, you want a hefty amount of food for a good price. I have a big appetite and this place's platter always leaves me satisfied. Beware though, their hot sauce is spicy! Overall great food!“
“Gigi's is a rock solid food truck, I have gotten a few items like lamb, and chicken over rice/salad, etc. They are always polite, and quick with the service (which is incredible food). Just be warned that once you get it, the smell will call to you like a siren every time it wafts by.“
“Had dinner at Korai Kitchen on a Saturday. It is a BYOB place, so feel free to bring your own wine. It was a lovely experience overall. However, there are nuances. First off, it was a dinner date for me (an overwhelming majority of people dininig were on dates). Starting with a dingy, dim-lit neighborhood of Journal Square, to a very spartan vibe of the restaurant, it was falling short of a proper date experience. The food was delicious, definitely one of the best comfort foods I have ever eaten. At the same time, at the price point of close to 100 dollars per person without alcohol, if you factor in tax and tip, I was expecting more.“
