“Great food from a vegan business run by vegans. The "chicken legs" are amazing and my daughter said the mac n cheese was the best she has ever tasted. Super friendly and enthusiastic staff. Whilst primarily a take-out there is a small seating area for those wanting to eat in. Highly recommended.“
“Went here to celebrate my birthday yesterday and the place was busy! They were a little delayed on our table for our reservation but the maitre d went above and beyond to make sure our party of 8 enjoyed the experience despite the wait! We were offered wine on the house, a complimentary birthday shot of tequila, as well as another round for the table! The vibe at this place was beyond expectations. Our group’s ages ranged from 39-57 and not a single person was disappointed. We did the prefixed menu which was so much food. We left with several containers to take home!Overall, I highly recommend this place and hope to come back again soon!!“
“We have had our private event at this lovely restaurant. we used the main dining room area for a party of 46 of us. The menu was excellent with a great variety of meats and chickens and seafood, along with some vegetarian items. The staff has made us very comfortable and brought each cocktail and meal on time. The space is excellent for private events and small gatherings. Entire office loved everything.“
“Sloppy and yummy Mexican tacos. So so so good! The taste was great, so flavourful. The soup next to it was perfect. I would highly recommend this place. Price was a little steep for my understanding but maybe that’s just the area. Friendly staff, cute atmosphere and great taste. What a dinner! Be prepared to get your hands dirty!“
“Came here on a Saturday night for a friend's birthday dinner. We had 14 people. The food was excellent as were the drinks. Best of all was the service experience. There was a live lounge singer, a festive celebration birthday song, and a photo session with a ring light! The service here was so welcoming, fun, and festive. I'm definitely coming back“
“There’s not a whole lot that’s wrong with Farook’s tbh. I’ll pick him over Halal Guys or Adele any day of the week, given the price and wait time. However, I’m personally a fan of Santa Halal which is the cart next to Farook’s.But, that’s a personal preference. Farook is pretty great too.“
“The food is delicious I come here all the time and every time I come they treat me with respect on top of that The store is always clean and you get to choose so many toppings from the salad bar they have quesadillas. Barbecue pops, platter, the burgers and when I tell you this place it’s amazing. CANT GO WRONG!!“
“Julie was sweet, knowledgeable, efficient, and a great professional server. The food was so yummy! We especially loved the spinach rolls, and babaganoush! The shishkabob and dumplings and cabbage rolls were all prepared very well and delicious!“
“Wow! A friend and l stumbled across this place by accident and couldn’t be happier inshallah ! Food is fresh , and feeds the soul. John , at the register served us as if we were coming to dine in his home. 10 out 10!!! High recommend, lm sure you’ll agree!!“
“Best food we ate in NYC, especially because we can't get it in San Francisco. The $10 price point makes it even more delicious and worth the hour wait in line. Portions are perfect for post-show munchies and you can tell the meat is so fresh. Always ask for extra white sauce!“
“Great little place. Food is all homemade and really good. World class Baba ghanoush and their lentil soup, as the kids would say, really hits! This place only has 9 tables and 3 of them are only for 2 people so I wouldn't recommend it for large parties unless you let them know ahead of time. The Baklava is also a stand-out. You definitely have to try this place if you are in the neighborhood!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access“
“I got the Chicken and Lamb over Rice combo for $7. Yes, 7 dollars flat!!! It was absolutely delicious and a hugee portion for the price and quality. The meat was well seasoned and really tender and juicy. I really loved the lamb and it wasn't gamey at all. The mix of greens you get really freshens things up and adds a nice little crunch. The white sauce is a must. This was probably one of my favorite things I ate on my trip. You get your food really fast too. Sit down at the park nearby and enjoy your meal.Payment is pretty easy, you can Zelle directly to pay or use cash. I don't thinkkk credit was accepted (can't remember).Price, taste, portions, and service... you can't beat it!!“
“I am a chicken girl and can completely without reservation recommend any and all chicken dishes and sandwiches on the menu. I have had them all over and over. Also the French fries and green salad. They are my go to usually twice a week.Believe the listed menu needs to be updated price wise but still the best deals in town. A HuGE plus you have the Richard Tucker (google him) Park right across the street for seating. Linda“
“Got the chicken over rice here and wasn't expecting much but was surprised by the value and taste. The serving was more than enough for two people and the taste was good. He even put in extra sauce and salad for us. No nonsense and definitely would recommend this food truck if you're looking for halal food in SoHo.“
“Döner House feels like a hug in food form. Warm, comforting, and exactly what you need on a rough day lolAffordable yet so tasty! The bread is go good! Like insanely goodyo the sauce is so spicy. It's SO SPICY! love it.Awesome staff, great food. Kebabs there are legit the closest you can get to being in GermanyEach visit to doner haus is like a mini trip to Germany. just like when I was stationed there. same authentic flavors without the flight .Kid-friendliness: Döner House feels like a hug in food form. “Went there with 2 kids who were craving for real asian food after 2 weeks travelling around the US. Thought they would cry of joy upon finding out the place serves Milo Dinosaur, Bandung, pineapple fried rice, roti canai etc. :)) Food was great, very authentic. Warm and efficient service. Well done and thank you.“
“Got to be the most flavourful chicken doner I ever had and I am saying this after exploring food through 20+ countries. I tried their doner at 11 in the morning and it was a burst of flavours in my mouth. Great hospitality as they helped me charge my phone as I finish my meal. This review is 5 months late as I visited them in September 2023 but I still remember their taste of doner.“
“Wife and I strolled in here to grab a quick bite….the food was so good we stayed way longer than expected. Most of the dishes here have a slight southeastern Asian influence and it works!! We had a pulled ribeye sandwich with a curry slaw on top that was just put if this world! Followed by a chicken tostada and then 2 empanadas!! My wife and I felt like we were in heaven!!“
“This establishment left a very positive impression on me during my initial visit. The lively atmosphere and decor create an immersive experience reminiscent of Istanbul. The service provided was exceptional. Although I did not obtain the name of our server, I believe she may have been the owner. She consistently ensured that all our needs were promptly met.We commenced our meal with the delectable spicy hummus, accompanied by their exceptional bread. I also highly recommend the red lentil soup. For my main course, I savored the flavors of the mixed grill.I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone visiting the city. You will not be disappointed.“
“Delicious food at a great price. Quick and easy meal to grab for lunch, without having to wait long at all. Been around here for 5 years and Its been my favorite spot that I go to for lunch at least once or twice a week. Definitely add the chipotle mayo, its a game changer.“
“Easily one of my favorite halal carts in the city. Portion size is HUGE and for $8.99 chicken & rice is good. I love that it comes with lettuce tomato & chickpeas too for a nice added touch. Service is so quick and the food is so good. If you’re looking for a good halal cart look no further!“
“Came here because while I was in Vegas, I was obsessed with Dave’s Chicken. I mean, it was just so good and the price was even better.I am happy to know that a Dave’s Hot Chicken is around the corner from my house now.Came with my husband and the food was pretty much the same. I will do say that the sliders need more Cole Slaw in them!!!Mac and cheese is really good so I very much recomend it. The fries are a must have and must try. The sliders come with Dave’s sauce, a big piece of crispy chicken, pickles and Cole slaw. Btw they’re Cole slaw is reallllly good. Not many places know how to do it.Staff is super friendly and they do keep the place clean, even though the people that come it, should be more careful with what they throw on the floor. The ambiance is very cool! I would come back for sure!Make sure you guys add some bar stools!!!Parking: Hard to find parking because it’s locationKid-friendliness: Great to bring kids!Wheelchair accessibility: Push door with a tiny step“
“The place is so cute, the interior makes you feel like you’re on a little tropical vacation. The food was so good! We got the pad Thai with skirt steak, green curry with duck. The steak was perfectly medium rare and duck was so tender with crispy skin. They have a lot of drink options as well and they were so worth it during happy hour. Highly recommend!“
“The place I'd well lit, comfortable, and elegant without being ostentatious. The service is friendly and efficient. The food is fabulous! The phyllo scrolls stuffed with feta were divine and we could eat them forever. I had the lamb Adana and it was delicious! So flavorful. My friends has the falafel and the manti Turkish ravioli. Both were good but the manti was a new experience for us all. The mint flavor is strong in the yogurt sauce which we all loved. The texture and flavor of the ravioli in combination with the sauce makes you want to savor it and gobble it up all at once. Unfortunately, two of us were on medications that affect our appetites so we may have looked like we weren't enjoying ourselves as much as we actually were and this appeared to cause concern. They really want you to enjoy what you're eating and it's wonderful they take pride in what they do. What we didn't eat there, we gladly took with us! I'd you're looking for a reasonably priced delicious place to eat in that area, come here! It's wonderful!“
“Great service from a friendly crew. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food. Menu is a bit weird but seems to be highly customiziable, probably a good place to order online so you can see all the options available. Not a ton of seating indoors (2 seats) but there's a few tables outside.“
“fast casual burgers perfect for a quick dinner before a late night screening at the Village East. was looking for a place that would suit my dietary restrictions and i got that plus amazing hospitality and a very chill atmosphere. a place that feels genuinely local just outside of union square craziness. thanks to pat for recommending a burger customization that would work with my diet and to michael for being so friendly! will definitely be coming back.Dietary restrictions: gluten free buns and customizable burgers“
“WE LOVE!!! this place. It’s absolutely incredible. The food here is the most authentic Indian food I’ve had in the country with the most options and best flavours. The service is incredible as well. Their Chaat, drinks and makhani is amazing. Literally don’t go anywhere else if you want Indian food“
“- outdoor seating was so cute and heated!- workers were extremely nice- underworld wrap was delicious especially with the chipotle mayo sauce (andy loved the sauce so much he decided to put some on his pants to save for later!)- there was so much steak packed in there- the tortillas were light and airy-overall good experience definitely recommend- and the sauce was free!!“
“Someone should do a YouTube series blind tasting NYC halal carts; the “GOATs”, as the kids say, which includes Santa, all taste the same, and it’s a hot pile of meat. No one in their right mind would be able to tell the difference. It’s seasoned, portions are respectable, and menu is affordable. My combo gyro was $7.99, despite the menu stating $6.99. Not complaining, but Santa should probably update the sign to avoid any confusion.Friendly and quick service. You can find a very good cart like this anywhere in the city, and Santa Clause is one to check out if you’re by Union Square.“
“This place was a true New York experience. I loved each bite of the chicken pita. Customer service was also 10/10. We came back to this place 3 days in a row and the owner was always so happy to see us. I would definitely visit this place again.“
“I ate it with Lamb-Yellow Rice-White Sauce (Béchamel Sauce) and added a barbeque sauce (free). The portion size is so large that an adult woman would be full after eating only half!My group ate chicken, and the chicken was delicious too! Tandoori feel - try it with half chicken and half lamb (combo)!Cards were accepted, and the basic dish costs $9.Everyone said there was a long wait, so I went there around 5:50 (10 minutes before business started) and lined up, and I think I got it in about 30 minutes. As soon as business starts, there is a long line. There are a lot of benches in front of the building right next door, so if the weather is nice, you can eat right on the bench.“
“It's so fun to eat food with your hands, and although the triangle folded up isn't the most practical shape for that, it still works. The vegan spinach is the best! Order to go or squeeze around one of the tables here. The desserts are phenomenal. Watch the steps on the way out!“
“Right outside of Marshall's and TJMaxx, you are greeted with rich aromatic smells of halal food. I purchased the chicken over rice platter and not only are the flavors rich and savory, but they add on more that most halal carts don't do. You get French fries, peppers jalapeños, green sauce and chopped tomatos/onions. If this isn't one of the most top tier halal carts I've ever had the pleasure of discovering, then idk what is. Plus Debit/Credit is accepted. Worth the money if you ask me!“
“Hands down best halal I’ve ever had in NYC of all Burroughs. Everyone I know is obsessed with them including our whole office, we placed a large order which Rocky took and everyone that worked that day did such a great job. Seriously you will not regret, just be aware you may become addicted!“
“We had dinner here with our booking beginning at 7pm. It was quite full and there was only one server/host, I think the owner of the place, but she was able to cater to us among all other customers in a timely manner. The restaurant closed at 10pm but my friend and I lost track of time in conversation. We were not even asked to leave as there was still a party of 6 people and ourselves (party of 2). The host was so accommodating and welcomed us staying until after we were well done (sometime between 11pm -12am). Not once were we asked to leave. Also on dessert, we were able to get their almond pudding even around 11pm, and after the kitchen closed (which was something we wanted to taste while there). Overall it was a memorable experience - food, Turkish wine & the service. It's my second time being there. I would go again.“
“I am a chicken girl and can completely without reservation recommend any and all chicken dishes and sandwiches on the menu. I have had them all over and over. Also the French fries and green salad. “First time trying vada pav and samosa pav. The pav/bread was so soft and buttery. In one bite, you experience the softness of the bread, the crunchiness of the samosa skin, and the smoothness of the spiced potato filling. The bread was spread with cilantro chutney and chili powder, adding an extra layer of freshness and heat.Paneer tikka roll. Perfect for snacking or a quick lunch! The grilled paneer cheese was milky and creamy!Lamb korma box. The korma was rich and nutty. The lamb was so tender it yielded to a fork’s touch. A whole box contains one main entree, yellow dal, rice, paratha, onion salad... so filling!Chicken biryani. The chicken was juicy, and the whole dish was really well-spiced. Fiery, savory, tangy, sweet... very addictive.Mango lassi. Creamy, silky, and rich in mango flavor. A good companion to spicy Indian food!“
“A place that is very well known among the locals. The person who prepares the food speaks less English, make it clear in advance what you want and keep an eye on this and everything will turn out fine. We had the Chicken Tikka, white sauce, green sauce, little hot sauce and be sure to ask for the mango pickle!“
“The best food :)I say this not because Mohammed shared half of his falafel dinner with me, but because he cooked it with love and shared it - the essence of what it means to have food together.I had chicken over rice, the chicken was cooked to perfection, rice was tasty as it could be and the presentation was spot on!I will visit again, but also encourage you to eat here you’ll eat not just through your mouth but with Mohammed’s kindness, your heart as well :)“
“Been eating here since 2010, food has stayed consistent through the years. The cooks always have a genuine attitude and respect for the food. I am often getting lamb over rice with red/white sauce, but the chicken and Falafel are always tasty as well. For an extra dollar they will toast a pita with white sauce for me with my plate, just epic!“

“Best lamb gyro I’ve had in the city. Just…. wow. Do yourself a favor and try this place. The chicken kebab over rice was also outstanding. We lived nearby for a year now and hadn’t tried this until tonight, but now we’ll be regulars for sure.“
“A great place! Falafel and everything else is absolutely scrumptious and the service is excellent. I go here now several time a week and I just love it. I was so sad when Jerusalem Restaurant closed, but now I grieve no more. Don't hesitate to patronize Zurna.“
“It's 2:30am on a Saturday night. You are drunk and starving. Only two things you can think of is a hot slice of pizza or halal food.Stumbled upon this tiny convenience store serving halal food after a rowdy night of dancing & drinking. Went in and ordered their falafel plate - pretty standard, topped with salad, white sauce and hot sauce. One bite into that falafel and OMFG I was in heaven. The perfectly crunchy outside and the beautifully soft, bright green stuffing scooped along with the buttery saffron rice nicely soaking up the sauces - it just HIT THE SPOT. The spice level was so good and the quantity is enough to finish it in one go and you're back in business. This is really an excellent spot to satisfy your halal cravings, be it falafel or chicken over rice etc. The quality is also better than your regular halal cart.Give it a go & join me in heaven ;)“
“I finished a dental appointment around 4 on a cold rainy day and felt a bowl of soup would cut the chill. I walked just a few blocks before Turkish Kitchen caught my eye and found lentil soup on the menu. Inside, the walls are a warm red with tables covered with crisp white tablecloths. I don't remember the last time that happened. I ordered the lentil soup and phyllo rolls. Soup arrived first with a cone of fresh baked bread perfect for dipping and a wedge of lemon for optional seasoning. It was delicious. The phyllo rolls came midway and had a delicate crisp shell with a soft center. Maybe halumi cheese? Service was attentive and gracious. And not only did I get a complimentary bite of baklava to end my snack, but also an unexpected 20% off the bill for their 4-6 early bird discount. I'll be back.“
“I am a huge burger lover. I must say best burger in town. Juiciness overloaded, authentic taste & halal ❤️. Great service, great employees & good dine-in environment. Undoubtedly recommending Holy cow if you want to taste the best burger.“
“Wow! Flames Indian Aroma is a true hidden gem in the Upper East Side! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting aroma that instantly whetted my appetite. The Coconut Poori and Chicken Tikka Masala Curry were absolute showstoppers, packed with flavors that took me on a culinary journey to India. You can truly taste the expertise of the chef in every dish. A definite 10/10 – I can't wait to return for another unforgettable dining experience!“
“The food here is so delicious and has a home cooking feel to it. The prices are pretty decent. I had a branzino filet and salad with rice. We also ordered the fried zucchini with a white yogurt sauce which was also delicious. You can reserve on their website or open table. It's always pretty busy but you can probably walk in and not too long.“
“I absolutely love this food I come from Brookyln to go to b&b i love everything they make it’s fresh and made with love I’ve never had a complaint about ANYTHING I can never go in that place and get one meal I eat a meal there and then I pack one for home and for work so I happily spend about $60-$70 and be very satisfied very omg I want some nowwwwwww!!!!!“
“Great experience at this iconic Dave's location. The lines can get pretty long, but the workers kept everything moving efficiently. The sliders are also quite reasonably priced. Everything was delicious. A must visit if you are in the area.“
