“My falafel platter could probably be submitted for entry to MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) as the first thing I noticed was how perfectly plated my meal was with a creative drizzle of tahini across the falafel as a final touch. Nothing I would have expected at this nondescript Mediterranean Hala kitchen restaurant in a small strip mall but which now has me wanting to come back to try their other home made mediterranean dishes.Everything was delicious and made from scratch as the owner provided more details about the preparation of the various sauces and condiments that made up this dish. Interesting was a pickled eggplant which I had never had, it was quite spicy but I like exploring the flavors it added to my falafel plate. The falafels themselves were quite dark brown in color with a contrasting bright green and soft inside, the combination of crunch and fresh soft chickpeas and spices I really enjoyed.The inside of 22 Bites Halal feels new with a huge chalkboard of colorful menu items written in chalk by hand behind the counter - a refreshing change from the expected plastic sign. Seating is new, clean with a mix of several tables and one longer table up front in front of the window.There were a number of really interesting menu items I can't wait to try like the 'Fat 22', 'Fat Buffalo', 'Rocket Platter' and 'Fat Rocket' which is a fried Tilapia sandwich with fries, lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce - yum!!!There is also a family platter which you can order with chicken or falafel or a mix of both and comes with a salad, fries and some other goodies along with a large soda. It seems to be quite large and would probably feed several people but I didn't enquire as to the exact number of servingsDefinitely worth a stop for a delicious dine-in lunch or dinner, takeout or a take-home family meal.“

“We went to Tosca Mangiano for our Anniversary on a Friday night, the food was absolutely amazing, Pulpo cooked to perfection, the gnocchi was probably one of the best I have had, my husband ordered the Bronzino and he said it was delicious! Dessert was the Almond sponge cake which was decadent! The service was not great, disappointing considering the quality of the food.“

“The food here is fresh and really really delicious. The spicy chicken shish tawook is so tender and has just enough of a kick. The platter comes with 2 sides--I got the salad and the rice--both fantastic. I'm sure the fries (the other option) would have been just as good. The garlic dipping sauce is out of this world with such great flavor. The restaurant was not crowded, so the waiter only had 2 tables, so the service was pretty good. The mint iced tea was also light and delicious. I would definitely recommend this place if you enjoy authentic, fresh, deliciously prepared Lebanese food. A+. “First time at Frappe Joe and it was soooo good the coffee was amazing. I got a turkey bacon egg and cheese bagel and omg just so good!! And their Raspberry Crumbcake. “I discovered this little gem of a restaurant while visiting my family in Westfield. A small, understated family run Greek/Mediterranean place that makes you feel right at home. These guys present quality dishes made with quality ingredients that are just delicious. I was overjoyed to finally get a restaurant meal that did not disappoint me, as so many these days do. “I just have to say that this place is one of my favorites to eat out at. If I could have a full meal of their bread I would- It is just probably one of the best breads I've ever had. Also I am a picky eater for example I don't even like pizza, yet I have yet to find something on the Birdge's menu that I don't like. Their kababs are so tasty and filling and their rice is perfectly seasoned and creamy. I recently went with my friend and I got one dish and I was SOOO full from it and I'm still dreaming about it. “One of the best Moroccan restaurants in the area. The Chicken Tagine and the Lamb Tagine was excellent and you can enjoy their delicious saffron rice all by itself. The portion sizes are quite hearty and good to share for two people. Get a reservation beforehand if you plan to visit on holidays or the weekend.“

Having entered the restaurant I was greeted and seated immediately. The service was excellent. The kabobs they have are great and they have a large selection. I think most of us got kebab platters; mine were keftas that came perfectly done. We accidentally stayed past their closing time and didn't realize it until we started to leave and noticed the place had emptied out and the staff were quietly gathering in the back, because they didn't rush us out or get impatient (we wouldn't intentionally do this, but appreciated that they had let us enjoy our time together!) Every single dish that we ordered popped with flavor (chicken kabab with rice and salad, a traditional gyro, and Mediterranean platter w/baba ganoush, dolmas, grilled vegetables, falafel and pita). Everything had a lightness to it, freshly made and expertly prepared. This was nowhere more evident than with the baklava with its light crispy pastry, delicious honey and pistachio paste. The decor is warm and comfortable with exuberant music. We loved it and are definitely coming back. As a bonus, they are byob and a there's a small store next to it that sells wine. They also own the Greek pastry shop next door for your Greek pastry fix. “Great small, quant place in town for Mediterranean food. We came for an earlier dinner at 5:30 on a Saturday and we were the only table. There were a number of people coming in to pick up takeout and delivery orders though. We started with the lentil soup and then I had the Chicken Kabob entree and my wife had the Mahi Mahi entry. We both really enjoyed our meals. The portion size was perfect and everything had great flavor. The staff was really friendly. We will definitely be back.“

“Had a double meat beef Shawerma and a falafel sandwich from here. I have tried shawerma in 15 different countries and dozens of cities. This one stood out for me because of the flavor they marinate their meat in as far as the shwerma. And as for the falafel sandwich, I thought it was great too. Their prices are very reasonable considering the crazy inflation that's taking our country by a storm.“

We could have been satisfied with these first offerings, which were offered with our entree. My wife had the Large Mantu, which are steamed dumplings filled with minced beef, chives, and afghan spices, garnished with dill yogurt. She shared some with me: delicious! I had Banjan, an eggplant dish redolent with Afghan spices. Both entrées came with Naringe Palaw, a rice with orange and saffron, an intriguing combination of flavors. My wife, who doesn't particularly like eggplant, loved my dish almost as much as I did. A true gustatory delight.The owner spent some time with us, his pride in his restaurant and his cuisine evident, his desire to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere makes for a great dining experience.
