“My family and I love love love Kubo. Since they opened, we def try to come here any time were in the area. My fave fave fave is the Ube Soft Serve with Taiyaki and boba. Their soft serve is just so creamy and flavorful. I haven't tried everything on their menu yet, but I def plan to. Posting a pic from our most recent visit last week.They have a small seating area, but in the warmer seasons they add some extra outside seating which is nice. Its always a great place for some pics, too.10/10 Highly recommend!“

“I selfishly want to keep this place a little secret, but I know it's not right to do and so I must share my thoughts and quick review so that you may enjoy it too. My go-to coffee is usually black and nothing else. Instead I opted to try their "Hot Chai latte"and a choice of oat milk, half/half and milk and other options. I went with the half/half and It was absolutely delicious. Groundwork's Cafe is just the perfect place to relax and enjoy yourself with their many food and drink options. The energy and vibe is exactly what I like to surround myself in. The cafe is extremely clean all around!!!! The staff members are beyond friendly and welcoming. There's off street meter parking and town meter parking lots within a short walking distance. What I ordered: Hot chai latte Chicken Colombian empanadas A small cup of Tomato Soup I LOVED IT ALL! My NEW FAVORITE PLACE and I'm looking forward to going back.“

“This location has a tricky parking lot shared by a few businesses close to a busy corner. Still think it is worth the effort, even though the Reeses cement turns to a chunky milkshake during the 5 min drive home. Still worth it, just have a napkin handy.“

“I haven't been to a Carvel in ages. Enjoyed this location. Loved looking at the large selection of frozen cakes and treats. There were several large freezer cases filled with a variety of shapes and sizes of cakes. I opted to make my own small icecream creation with cookiedough icecream with chocolate crunchies and sprinkles. The icecream was super creamy and the crunchies were just as I remembered! Seating areas inside are limited so it's best for takeout if with a group.“

“My daughter is very picky with ice cream and saw a Facebook ad requesting we go. We went and ordered 4 different things in the hopes she’d eat something. She finished her entire ice cream and literally gave it a thumbs up. Usually she eats 1-2 bites and says she’s done. My 2 year old swapped between his and mine because he couldn’t decide what was better. My husband finished his first and doesn’t usually eat ice cream. We got strawberry sorbet, Greek yogurt, Belgium chocolate, chocolate hazelnut Oreo-one was made into a sandwich nothing but deliciousness!“

I would like to bottle up the pistachio butter they use. For takeout, the waffle did get soggy - somewhat like the bottom of an ice cream cone, and somewhat like choux pastry that's been sotting around. I prefer a fresh, crispy waffle component but this is the price you pay for takeout vs dining in store and having it fresh. Besides the waffle itself. This was a 5/5.“

“A quick in and out spot. I can see why it’s called crumbl. Lol the cookie crumbles and melts away. It tastes really good. A huge cookie. $5… average price for this day and age (but it’s also a decent size cookie).A secret tip: towards the end of the night, they’ll obviously start running low on stock. So either try going earlier, or order ahead. I say a secret tip because my husband and I ordered ahead. (The first time we went, they did not have any fancier flavors left; so we just ended up leaving.) This time, we were smarter and ordered ahead and also were able to get to the location around 9:30 pm. (Compared to the 10:30 first time).“

“Very cute spot and very lively! The service was VERY fast and well organized. It truly is chocolate heaven inside. The menu is extensive and they have many create your own options. I'd recommend eating there so that your crepe is hot. We took ours home, but next time we'll be staying! Their crepes are delicious and well stuffed. “Came here with my family and this was such a cute and tidy cafe. This cafe had a very homey feel to it and the workers were so welcoming. We had the BLT toast, curried chicken toast, empanadas (argentine beef, chicken chipotle and ham&cheese), drinks and ice cream. “My only complaint is that the lone worker today, when I was paying with a credit card (without tap) took my card and tried to use tap. Before she took my card I was going to put it into the card processor. When I pointed out that it doesn’t have tap, she (2x’s) typed my card information into the register screen and it was declined (plenty of credit was available because I got gas with it shortly after). I then used my debit card which she just took from me and again tried to use tap (again not a feature on that card either). She was finally able to put my card information for the debit card and it went through. If she had let me put my card in in the first place there would have been no problem with the original transaction attempt. I feel some of the staff might need better/more training on using the register.“

“This place is an experience! We've been coming here as a family since the 1960s and now it's just tradition. Long before the Sopranos filmed here we were enjoying homemade ice cream, burgers, grilled cheeses, and turkey sandwiches. This is old-school, old vibes, but good food. The service has never been stellar but they do try. If you're in the neighborhood I highly recommend coming. Parking is on the street.“

“I came here Thursday morning and the young lady working there Juliana greeted my family and I with a nice welcome smiled. She helped each and one of us and took her time. The customer service was amazing as well with the gelatos. Definitely recommend coming here on Thursday mornings where there is no lines. “Always such a delight to eat at Friendly’s considering how many they closed up. Never go wrong with a Patty Melt( it was taken off the menu for a while but happy to see it back) , a fishamajig melt, or a BBQ tenders melt. Then to finish off with a sundae with the best peanut butter sauce . Our server Harvey is always the greatest . We only visit a few times a year but always remembers us and greets us with such enthusiasm. Highly recommended !“

“Thank you to Sammy who handled customers with grace this evening (a Saturday evening in early April) where customers were lined up out the door! She was working alone and yet never stressed, lost her cool and worked tirelessly until everyone had their ice cream in hand. At a day and age where I wouldn't want my own daughter working alone, she was working tirelessly to ensure her customers were happy and didn't rush through despite the line behind her and anxiously awaiting customers. Do to covid restrictions they still have in place you cant watch them make the ice cream like you used to but you can see the "magic" from a distance. Place looks clean. “They are so much more than your average icecream shop, not only do they have bubble tea (which isn't always easy to come by) they have delicious and unique flavors of rolled icecream they prepare fresh. You can tell how much they care about what they are preparing, if the fruit for something they have isn't ripe yet, though they might have the fruit, they let you know so you're not just eating any bland fruits. And they have constantly been trying new flavors and creations of this delicious rolled ice cream. They prepare it right there in front of you. The icecream isn't the only thing making this place amazing, but also the huge variety of bubble tea flavors. Even with different types of boba, and they even have the new craze of the cheese foam varieties! There are some place that make bubble tea really watery or just plain gross, but this place makes it the best I've ever had. I didn't even use to have the tapioca boba pearls untill I had it here, its just so fresh, sometimes it is even still warm in my drink because they are constantly making new fresh batches. They even started serving Acai bowls, which also taste incredible here. I highly recommend this place, it is honestly the best newest thing to happen to Kearny.“
