I absolutely love the falafel, which is always of a generous size and very much well worth the extra expense. “It was worth standing in line for half an hour that stretched around the block!!! The line moves quite quickly, you get a note that you keep and pay according to what is written on it at the end. At the stand, they let you taste the meat so that you can decide beforehand what to take. We took the classic pastrami. It's just a huge sandwich! We shared it, so the price in my opinion was not terrible, but keep in mind that it is almost 30 dollars for a sandwich. In our opinion it was worth it. The pastrami melts in your mouth and the pickles they make are excellent. There is a lot of fat in this so be prepared.“

“Best bagels and coffee in town, and arguably in Jersey. Always incredibly delicious bagels, and the coffee is also so good. The workers are fast and efficient ensuring you get your order quickly. I've been coming to Teaneck Bagels for over a decade and I don't see that changing anytime soon. A must visit if you're in Teaneck. If you don't know what to get, I highly recommend the everything/garlic bagel with lox/scallion cream cheese for something salty or the cinnamon raisin with strawberry cream cheese for something sweet. And get a nice hot coffee to go with it.“

“I couldn't recommend this place more highly. Chef Itai is incredibly gifted and so welcoming. His dishes are absolutely delicious, so creative and such an inspiration to experience. The meals are designed with so much thought and sophisticated detail. I loved the shawarma bao buns, lamb cigars and the steak. The desserts (lava cake, churros, tiramisu, crumb cake, soufflé and ice cream) were to die for! I can't wait to go back - this is such a special place!“

We had no idea that it was a vegan restaurant, but it didn't matter because the food was beyond amazing; the atmosphere and decor were great (LOVE those little minimalist Italian-designed lamps on the tables); and the service was the best I've experienced in years! Full disclosure: I'm a bit of a carnivore, but their udon shitake special is nothing short of heavenly. My friend had the raw sampler platter and also enjoyed it immensely (we should have taken photos). We enjoyed freshly-made sangria with our meal, courtesy of our server, Enrique. He was a revelation, with such a great sense of humor that we were laughing like old friends, plus he told us there's live music later in the evening. They're definitely getting a return visit!!“

I personally do not keep kosher and always assume that I will not enjoy a kosher restaurant as much. This restaurant went above and beyond my expectations, food, atmosphere and service. Food was amazing and as good as any highly rated, unkosher restaurant out there.I would definitely come back again whether or not I was with a group that needed to eat kosher. The only thing I don't like is how bland the rice is and that this place uses microwaves with every dish. (I saw the staff use it and it explainswhy the food is always piping hot). My mom got French toast with bacon, homefries and a green power smoothie. It all had so much flavor, and the texture of the wings was perfect. Would definitely return to this place. “This is an iconic and go to spot in the Lower East Side to have a sweet or savory (or both) knish! I always make the walking trip to order a sweet potato or apple strudel knish to start my morning or have as an afternoon snack. I find comfort in getting it warmed up at the ideal temperature so I can easily bite in and enjoy while sitting at a nearby park or walking and snacking. The cashier I usually see is very kind and makes sure the knish is warmed up perfectly (I believe they ask you if you want it warmed up). [Side note, I usually order a coffee or cappuccino from a coffee shop in West 4th to pair beautifully with either my sweet potato or apple strudel knish] I highly recommend coming and spreading the word about this place. It's a historical foodie destination and should be shared one knish at a time.“

This establishment is located within the Arthouse Hotel and is a great spot on the Upper West Side for coffee, pastries, and getting some work done. “It was a miserable, heavy rain Saturday and really fancied some good matzo ball soup. First time at this place, literally googled ‘best matzo ball soup in Bergen County’, don’t regret the decision. We had two soups, a potato knish and a pastrami sandwich. The knish was really hot, best left to cool a bit… but it was probably the best one I’ve ever had. The soup, the matzo ball was really light, the soup had good flavor and not salty… my husband really enjoyed the sandwich too. definitely worth returning to for some comfort food.“

“Mendy’s is a great deli, I always stop by for lunch if I’m in the area. I usually get the turkey pastrami sandwich and a soup. My wife likes the tuna on rye a lot and I bring her back one. They also have good hotdogs and potato knishes. I think the portions are very good too.“
