“Went for a colleague's celebration. Upon walking in this place is really pretty with lots of faux grass and florals everywhere. Brunch was late--415-615, which was a 1st for me. During that two hour window you get bottomless mimosas and rum punch (they really do come around often, never allowing you to get to the bottom of your glass lol), and as many trips to the buffet as you like. The music was mostly Latin which was to be expected, but the DJ did mix in some R&B and Afro Beats, which I appreciated. The volume was pretty loud so you did have to raise your voice, or lean in to speak directly into someone's ear. But that didn't bother our table of 12, we were there to celebrate, so the vibes were cool. At about 6, we saw quite a few workers breaking down the buffet setup and then bringing in couches from the enclosed patio area. So someone at the table ordered hookah so that they wouldn't force us to leave at 615 as they are pretty strict with the 2 hour time limit. I tried: the cabbage salad-good white rice (before I saw the other rice option)-good rice and beans-really good stewed chicken-really good white fish-really good in flavor but condensation made it a lil soggy Others at the table had: stewed pork-good pancakes-good spaghetti-good crumb cake-good chocolate cake-good Apparently they very recently had dancers who would get everyone on the dance floor, but they were MIA yesterday, or they're not a thing anymore. Overall, it was a good time! It's a lil far of a drive for me, so I would only return for a special celebration. Food 8/10, Service 10/10, Ambiance 10/10“

“The service was amazing! Our server Jay went above and beyond what was expected. The onion soup was delicious. The perfect amount of cheese and the perfect saltiness. I ordered the 2 course plat. I had the soup and the beef tenderloin and fries. Delicious. The special dessert of the day was their bourbon bread pudding with butter pecan ice cream. All I can say is Yum!!“

“We absolutely love this place, from the food, to the cozy atmosphere, to the friendly staff and excellent service. It's perfect whether you're here on a date, or for a meal with family or friends. If you don't want a full sit-down meal, you can always find a convivial gathering around the happenin' bar. The menu consists of popular Italian and American favorites like chicken, veal, pastas, salads, steak, seafood, burgers/sandwiches, and a well-rounded selection of appetizers. Nothing trendy but all extremely solid options and consummately prepared. You're greeted with a plate of warm bread and black olives when you sit down. The house wines are quite good and a gracious pour. (A wine shop attached to the restaurant is run by the same people.) The steak is perfection - flawlessly seared to my requested medium rare, and seasoned just right. I've also really enjoyed the fish and chicken dishes here. The tilapia is so tender. Even the sides are outstanding - I couldn't believe how good the sauteed spinach in the chicken saltimbocca was! And the fries are amazing - piping hot and crispy, and perfectly seasoned as well. We've also had the seafood paella which is full of seafood but more of a cioppino with its tomato-based broth than a true paella which has a dry texture, but is tasty nonetheless. We'll be back often to eat our way through the rest of the menu, I'm sure. A happy hour menu is offered from 4-6p on Tue/Wed/Thu. As mentioned, they have a great bar, and the changing seasonal cocktail offerings are delightful. The staff are warm and wonderful, and we were made to feel welcomed each time. Mike the owner came up to introduce himself the very first time we came here. You can tell they take care to know their customers, and seem to have a loyal local clientele (one of whom recommended the Tavern to us). Our meal was perfectly coursed - never rushed nor too slow. I noticed our server discreetly checking on us several times to make sure we were done with our appetizers before the entrees were brought out in impeccable timing. A small table lamp illuminates the menu without harshing the romantic mellow. The unobtrusive noise level means you can actually have a conversation without shouting across the table. These are details, but the sum of these parts differentiates a good restaurant experience from a great one.“

“Food was GREAT and the service was absolutely stellar. Love the look of the place, great for date night or night out with friends. We had focaccia, calamari, Franny's house salad, chicken parm, chicken Marsala and flounder. All winners. Drinks outstanding. The olive oil cake was lovely but not like Maialino's which I love. I would definitely return, did not disappoint!“
“Great local spot. They don't serve food but they can order delivery for you from some spots they partner with nearby. Gooood whiskey selection. Great for try before you buy. Also nice rotating tab list and even some wine on tap.Parking: It's in a shopping center that doesn't get crazy busy.“

“The experience was great but the classic wines were not my favorite (I am used to CA wine). The desert wines were very good though! Loved the Pecan flavored one! It's tucked inside a cute local market that also has a zoo on the grounds.“

“Food is excellent, service is excellent, the only possible criticism is it's loud af in there. If you're looking for a quiet dinner, this isn't the place but if you're ok with the noise I can't say enough good things about the quality of food or the top notch service.“

“We had a wonderful first visit at Spuntino's. The food was delicious - highly recommend the fresh made table side mozzarella! Thete is a wide variety to choose from and something for everyone. We were a bit disappointed with the chocolate chip zeppole because they were raw inside and had to be returned; however, the manager was wonderful and did not charge us for the order. There is an extensive wine list but also cocktails and beers. There were 6 of us and we felt the table was a bit small for tapas, wine flights etc. Overall the experience was a lot of fun and a great place to go with a group!“

“It was a nice place to have a meal. Kind of mid-lit trendy place. It was comfortable and our waitress was really friendly. Come to think of it, the hostess was really nice too. That set a good tone for the evening and we all loved our food. The Waygu burger in particular was amazing and cooked to perfection. The prices are a little high in general, but I would say they are about normal for Ridgewood. They have good cocktails for $18 each and they also have some nice local beers. There is a small side room that it looks like you could rent out, and it looks like it holds like 15 people or so.“

“Our resevvation was early so we enjoyed the ambience, music and impeccable service. We are recurring customers, The seafood was well prepared and mostly excellent. The Tuesday oyster special was awesome. Order 6 and get 6 is an amazing offer. The Western oysters were fresh and sweet. So tempting to order another another 6! The lobster bisque was delicious and had morsels of lobster in it. My crabcake did not have lump crab meat but still very full of crab with less fillers. The broiled octopus was superb and tender if just a tad over seasoned. Loved it and the accompnied potatoes were delicious. My husband's scallop dinner was theroughly enjoyed.“

“Great local place for a night out with your partner or friends, they cultivate a fun vibe. The specialty cocktails are well balanced and beautiful, and it looks like beer and wine drinkers have a plentiful selection too. The food is delicious though they are SMALL plates so just note that this is not a full-meal type of restaurant, it's a cocktail beer wine lounge -- and it's perfect at being that!“
