“What an amazing experience we had for our anniversary! The DJ was amazing and his name was DJ Bobby, he loves Michael Jackson and loves to interact with the crowd. The waiter and waitresses were very nice and attentive. It was a shame the weather was very rainy but we made the best of it. Also, the food was okay and the pasta was very mushy and inedible. They explained they don't normally get it catered from Capone's but it was the only place available for the last sail for the season. Besides the food, everything else was absolutely amazing!“

“This place is a Great little coffee shop. I had a triple shot latte and it was absolutely great. In addition I had a slice of crumb cake. Also wonderful. The line to order was out the door before the season even started but I will be back again and again. Wonderful spot. I even bought some fresh roasted coffee for making espresso at home.“

“Came here for a quick, Sunday homestyle breakfast and was not disappointed at all. The atmosphere is unique, to say the least, but also gives a lot to start conversations amongst the table. Serving portions were superb and food was very tasty. I have seen other comments and reviews that were very negative and nasty, but everybody can have a bad day once in a while. They were complaining on the service and owner/waiter being rude and yelling. I've seen more positive ratings than negative ones. While not everybody has the same humor, people can definitely be some Debbie downers. All in all, we had a nice experience and enjoyed the food. Ihop who?? Lol will def be back!!!“

“It was a bit hard to find the restaurant (for an out of towner) in the dark, as there is no signage facing the street and the property includes a catering hall. We parked at the wrong side of the facility and went into the catering hall. One of the waiters directed us to the restaurant, whose entrance was on the other side. The ambiance is nice there - dimmed lighting and modern furniture. After we ordered, the service was a bit slow. The portions were generous and tasty. The Chicken Marsela was delicious but overcooked and the edges were chewy. It needed 5 minutes less cook time.“

“At my visit to the Band Wagon Diner, the service I got was 100x better than what I expected. The waitress was extremely kind and provided really amazing service. This is truly a hidden gem of a restaurant! The food came out fast and was mouthwateringly delicious. I got the Chopped Sirloin w/onions, which is a Wednesday special. Not only was it just a steak it came with soup, salad, mashed potatoes, spinach/rice mix, and a dessert where I picked their rice pudding. The ambiance of the restaurant was sleek and modern with very nice, extremely clean restrooms. Overall, there was amazing service, atmosphere, and bathrooms. “Anchor Inn saved my party!!!! We had a house party planned for 16 people. 1 hour before guests were supposed to arrive, our street got flooded out in Ocean Gate. We called Anchor Inn and they happily accommodated our party of 16 just 45 minutes later!! Everyone arrived at the restaurant and our party was being served efficiently. We all really enjoyed our big variety of meals such as pizzas, eggplant rollatini, ravioli, lasagna, etc. they let us bring our own birthday cake and didn’t even charge us a serving fee for it. No one does that anymore and so we wanted everyone to know how wonderful this place was for us, and how incredibly stressed out we were before they saved the day. Thank you so much Anchor Inn management, chef, and servers!!!!“

“We've lived in Bayville since 2015 and tonight we tried the Trenton pie from Shady Rest for the first time. How did it take us nearly 9 years to find the best pizza in the area? The thin, crispy crust. The generous and flavorful sauce. Just the right amount of cheese. Hot and fresh, right from the oven. “Thankfully we got a table as walk ins, but the place was pretty busy. It’s a very beach vibe and the menu reflects all of the summer favorites. We got the Korean wings and avocado fries for starters. The wings were good, but I would pass on the avocado fries. I decided to take a chance and go for the tuna bowl. To my surprise, the tuna was delicious. The rice was cooked perfectly and it filled me up. My boyfriend got the double burger and he could barely finish it. His only commentary was that the waffle fries were trash.“

“Their Seaside Tony is the sandwich to get, if you're there for the night, weekend, or live there( especially live there). All the locals order it. Service is excellent. I used to go there when I was a kid. And it's the same owner. The only time I go there now is when I'm in town. I've been critiquing food for the past twenty years and Steaks unlimited is by far the best Cheese steaks in the tri state area, which includes Philly. (In my opinion) atmosphere, is a down home shake shop. Very courteous and helpful. Highly recommended before you walk up to the Beach Comber“

“We have gone here every weekend ever since we found out about this place! I wish they opened earlier than 11 am :( - Their coffee (specifically lattes) are out of this world. Before, LaVazza had my favorite lattes, but now CB does! Not only that, but $4-5 for an amazing good sized-coffee? I have probably had 15 by now and I have never had a bad one. I've tried most of their specialty candy bar lattes but the Jack Frost is my favorite - Service is outstanding. I've been served by multiple employees and so far they've all been extremely nice and helpful. Both dine-in and take-out. They are also very fast - Food is also extremely good, but, in my opinion a bit too expensive for what it is. However, the size is decent and it tastes very high quality. 15% lower price would be better. The chicken parm sandwich and caesar salad are my favorites and one of the best I've ever had (longhorn beats their caesar). Food has not disappointed so far - Environment is also nice. Clean area, clean bathrooms, and bonus that it's not always jam packed so it's quite peaceful Food I have tried and enjoyed: quesadilla, grilled chicken nachos, fries, caesar salad, classic pizzette, cheeseburger, sicily stuffed chicken wrap, chicken brushette wrap, chicken broccoli cheddar wrap, chicken cordon bleu wrap. Their chicken is also fantastic“

“Verace is my go to frequently, their wraps are delicious, I recommend the buffalo chicken wrap with your choice of fries or onion rings, and a MUST try is their Grandma thin crust Sicilian square cooked to a perfect golden crust, topped with plum sauce, fresh mozzarella and torn basil. You will love this one! Owners and employees are great, you can't go wrong with anything off their menu. Give them a try!“

I recommend EVERYTHING about this place... now back in the day (late 70's) my mom used to call it the "dirty diner" and I can tell you for certain, it is anything BUT. They keep this place clean and well maintained and it's a joy to visit. Solid diner food, you couldn't ask for better and decent prices along with people who treat you like you're there every morning for coffee and a roll. I still don't understand the Chili-Applebee-Friday set, the people who love their garbage chain 'food'... but here you get food that tastes like it was made by someone who really truly loves you... probably better than your mom's and it is always worth stopping. Please shop/eat/support real local business, it will always be worth it. In this case, you don't sacrifice ANYTHING for eating here, you get great food, you get treated like you belong and at a decent price, too.“
