That's never the case the last several years everything about this place has gotten better. I get something different every time and today's was my favorite cocktail and favorite meal.“
“love megs. it's a smallish comfortable and very cozy. I'm local so I can take advantage of megs in the off season . it still attracts a crowd but not too bad. the food is excellent. I love their pancakes, or omelets. my,kids have had other food here and love it. I've also had lunch here and love their chicken salad. Recommend it highly.“

Had the mussels, salads were great, seafood curry, blackened fish special, and short ribs to name a few. Then finished with daily bread pudding special and a tsunami for dessert! “My absolute favorite place in Lavallette. The food is always SO good (and elevated beyond!) the ambience is great. Sitting outside in the summer is the best. They also have outdoor seating in the fall and winter with heat lamps. They offer live music a lot. They are kid friendly. Great menu options. Good cocktails, great selection of beers. The service is great. Cannot say enough good things about Castaways, a great addition to the area!“
