“The food here is fresh and really really delicious. The spicy chicken shish tawook is so tender and has just enough of a kick. The platter comes with 2 sides--I got the salad and the rice--both fantastic. I'm sure the fries (the other option) would have been just as good. The garlic dipping sauce is out of this world with such great flavor. The restaurant was not crowded, so the waiter only had 2 tables, so the service was pretty good. The mint iced tea was also light and delicious. I would definitely recommend this place if you enjoy authentic, fresh, deliciously prepared Lebanese food. A+. “Changing my review because it technically wasn't fair. The decor was very pretty. The waitress was nice and my husband enjoyed his pasta even though it was not as described on the menu. My eggplant was not done well and my lack of finishing it should have raised concern with the waitress. Overall it was a pleasant atmosphere and the wine list was extensive.“

“I just have to say that this place is one of my favorites to eat out at. If I could have a full meal of their bread I would- It is just probably one of the best breads I've ever had. Also I am a picky eater for example I don't even like pizza, yet I have yet to find something on the Birdge's menu that I don't like. Their kababs are so tasty and filling and their rice is perfectly seasoned and creamy. I recently went with my friend and I got one dish and I was SOOO full from it and I'm still dreaming about it. “WOW ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!!! This place use to be a mediocre Mediterranean cuisine. They are now probably the best Mediterranean steakhouse in New Jersey. Table dining and experience is insane. They have probably one of the best specialty cocktails I have ever had. I would say they need a reward for all the amazing cocktails that this gentleman Tony Hage from the mountain of Lebanon has created. Their lamb chops are insane. Their tri-state sushi hand roll. Michelin star tuna bites are unreal. When I tell you, they mix berry rice pudding is to die for oh my God I highly suggest if you're from New Jersey to go to this restaurant. It is quite pricey, but I highly suggest to go there if you are poor and don't have money, don't waste your time go to Applebee's instead. This place needs three Michelin stars. Last time I was there I had the honors to meet PT da monster biggest A-list in New Brunswick. Don't forget the view is amazing.“

I also really enjoy the Freddo coffee and the mango danishes. The staff is nice and friendly.The drawbacks: The Wi-Fi isn't secure and can be a bit tricky to connect to at times. However, once you're online, it's generally pretty reliable. In the seating area, there are only four outlets available (one set by the door and another by the benches), so make sure to plan ahead if you'll need to charge your devices. One other thing to consider is that sitting near the open kitchen sometimes makes my eyes water, possibly due to onions being cut during food preparation.Regardless, Ellinikon is one of my favorite places in Highland Park to meet up with friends or just spend time by myself. I just plan accordingly, and the drawbacks don't prevent me from enjoying my time at Ellinikon.“
