“A staple in this area. Always worth the wait. Yes, there is no seating and there is always a long line. And yes, it's cash only. But it is well worth it! The staff is friendly, the store is very quaint. But the ice cream is absolutely one of the best out there. It's the perfect spot to cap off your evening. They close at 10 pm, which is a huge bonus. I never miss a chance to pass by here whenever I'm in Princeton.“

“Not sure why I waited so long to try this place but glad I finally got around to it. Warning: make reservations or be prepared to wait on the weekends. We arrived an hour before our reservation and enjoyed some drinks at the bar. Speaking of, be prepared to stand in a rather small, crowded space. But drinks help you forget about that. I tried the grapefruit cocktail and they certainly didn't water that drink down. Next up, the main event! We started with the pork belly fries which were tasty and perfect for sharing. I got the burger with short rib which was delicious. The service was fairly quick and friendly; honestly I was shocked they didn't rush us out considering it was nearing closing time. I'd return to try more burgers but I'd prefer lunch or a weekday since parking here is very limited with barely any street parking in sight.“

“My husband and I had a great time checking this place out (we traveled from Indiana). It's a nice little brewery with a lot of different brews that we enjoyed sampling while there. Even better that our last name is Hight and there was merchandise that we were able to buy with the name on it. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're visiting Hightstown.“

I love hole in the wall type shops that produce good product and provide friendly service at reasonable prices, and that's exactly what you'll find here.We went with the Viking Vanilla and Strawberry Fields. Both were rich and creamy, and were a delicious treat. While the Viking Vanilla was more of your typical vanilla ice cream, the Strawberry Fields really stood out as high quality as it contained pieces of actual strawberry inside...probably the best strawberry ice cream in the area. Although it's cash only, the prices are reasonable with generous portions, with a kids or regular size more than ample size to satisfy any sweet tooth craving. I'm happy to support small businesses like Gil & Bert's, and recommend them to others.“

“Love this place. Best coffee and traditional Jersey breakfast sandwich in the area. We always stop here on our way up to North Jersey. Don’t expect fancy, just expect very solid bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll (I ask them to grill the roll) with hot sauce. Coffee is excellent.“

He took excellent care of us, from talking about the daily specials to ensuring our drinks were topped off. The food was simply amazing. My only issue was that it was hard to hear one another inside the enclosure with a lot of people talking. It might be helpful to have some sort of sound-reduction put in place in the future.“

We went back recently and decided to stay for breakfast. My breakfast burrito came with bacon but it was thick, hard to bite into and the whole thing just lacked taste. My wife had some type of spinach omelette but that was not very tasty either. The young girl working in front while nice behind the desk taking orders, when she brought my food almost threw it at me, just no smile no asking if we needed anything else, fairly rude in my book. My wife still wanted to get pastry to go and that again was good. So will not be coming back for breakfast but you might be able to grab something that's actually good.“

There are also prepackaged cupcakes at the counter for available for quick in-and-out purchase if you don't have time to flounder around with making the "perfect" selection(s). If you are able to distract yourself from those mesmerizing goods, there are also racks of what appear to be locally sourced and made treats available if cupcakes are not your jam. But really, the visually appealing cupcakes steal the show.The variety and assortment of fresh cupcakes is truly overwhelming, and you could really sit there for minutes trying to decide on what you want. Definitely suggest that you go in with a plan-of-attack; know what flavors you are craving and build around that premise. However, I don't feel that you can go wrong judging by the flavors, and taste (in hindsight).The cupcakes themselves are incredibly fluffy and soft in texture and consistency. Sure, like other cupcakes they will harden if left expose to the elements, but if consumed properly and efficiently, these probably rates as one of the best cupcakes in the local area (the other best ones we've had are from Blue Sheep Bakery). Depending on the flavor and style, you might have filling within some of the cupcakes, while the majority of them are covered in a rich buttercream. The buttercream has been made to perfection - it is light (almost airy to a degree) and not entirely too sweet.We picked up half-a-dozen assort cupcakes, and surprisingly the Black Forest and Dulce de Leche varietals stood out to me. I was expecting the Dulce de Leche to be overwhelming sweet, but it was not and incredibly enjoyable. The Red Velvet was good and held its own, however, would have been amazing if the buttercream was cream cheese-based.All-in-all, a great spot to visit for some treats/desserts!“

It was so unique and the texture was fun!I got a mango tea which was uncaffeinated and my favorite aspect was the addition of pulp to the drink! “Cute little hangout for the whole family! Atmosphere is fun, colorful, and inviting. They have frozen yogurts with many toppings to choose from, milk and fruit tea and slushees. Lots of flavors to choose from, very clean. You can also choose from plastic or paper straws to help the environment. I highly recommend to friends and family. I'm glad I stopped in“

“When my mother & I had walked inside, we were greeted 2 the most respectful people ever. They were very patient with us on what we decided 2 get 4 the day, my mother had gotten a bagel with a big fat stack of fish locks. She scarfed it down like a puppy dog going nuts over a treat. She had also got this lobster bisque which was a big banger. Big chunks of lobster meat and she was set. 4 myself, I had gotten a Bahn MI, very good 10/10. It was like a lightly toasted Italian bread with pork, cilantro and some fresh veggies on top of it. I had gotten a Hungary style mushroom soup and my god my belly had gotten fulled up so quick I was never thinking of seconds. It's a must go place if ur in the area. The atmosphere was so cozy with the orange aesthetics and pictures of the other place down town, very creative and amazing people. Prices are high but it's 100000% worth every cent 2 get ur bellies fill up.“
