“I’ve been coming to The Grand ever since they opened. I’ve NEVER been disappointed. This place is absolutely my favorite restaurant. Period. Always consistent. Always amazing. Great service, drinks, atmosphere. The current menu is one of my favorites, and you must come to The Grand. Thank you for making a perfect experience every time.“
“The service, ambiance, cocktails and food were all exceptional. Truly, a perfect experience and R Bar has established itself as the spot we'll bring friends from out of town... which means we'll have to sample everything first. Brolied oysters, fried chicken and the bourbon slushi are must haves. Big thanks for an amazing evening.“
“FARMINGDALE: Tom's Tavern is a great locals bar and dogs are allowed inside! It is a small place with a full bar, small food menu with specials, a pool table, and friendly people. Don't be intimidated by any motorcycles parked outside. We thank somebody we met in our travels for telling us about this place. It has a great hometown vibe and inexpensive.“
“A wonderful experience even on a rainy day. The food was delicious, beautifully prepared and thoughtfully presented. My table was right next to the window for a beautiful view. A perfect martini, the ideal way to turn a gray day bright. I highly recommend.“
“I have passed this place many times and can't believe I've been sleeping on it! Romantic, cozy, and the food is great. Our server, Eric, was great! Celebrating my sisters birthday dinner was a success. We had the oyster special and arancini balls, dinner for me was the salmon fettuccine. The chocolate cheesecake for dessert was the perfect way to end our meal. Thanks for a great experience - we will definitely be back!“
“Not the first time or the last time. Excellent selections, food choices. Started with the soup followed by appetizers. The mussels in red sauce with the artesian bread was great, a meal in itself. The main entry Stuffed jumbo shrimp for the wife the Codfish for myself covered with just the right of amount of capers in red sauce. Followed by a slice of Ricotta & pistachio cake cake. Looking forward to my next visit.“
“Went to the Elbow Room last night. We were met at the door by the owner. Madeline adorable Spitfire place was pretty busy so we decided to sit at the bar. Got a couple drinks. The bartenders were very cool great conversation had a Long Island iced tea and a nice cold beer we ordered those teriyaki bone wings. Fabulous the best wings I’ve had in a very long time. My husband had the cowboy burger it was huge it was cooked perfect. French fries were so good cause they were hand cut. I had the salmon it came with basmati, rice, and vegetables. It was crisp on the outside great sauce Walked around saw the place very cute so a couple friends we knew we’ll definitely be back so if you haven’t been around Bradley Beach lately dropping into the Elbow Room Guarantee you’ll have a great meal. Great atmosphere try to say hello to Madeline if you can catch her.“
“I grew up coming here and haven't been in years. The food hasn't changed and it was really enjoyable. Extensive menu for an Irish pub and it was all good. Kids menu was good. The Reuben was my favorite. The service was good and the ambience was an authentic Irish pub flare.“
“This place is always busy, but I must say for all the years that it has been there. They try to accommodate you whatever which way they can to get you seated. Going there and experiencing the atmosphere you get when you're eating, you won't be disappointed. We had over 18 people to be seated to eat, and they accommodated us.Kid-friendliness: They have no problem accommodating your children not at all.“
“Three of us ate together for lunch and this what we had. White Beans and Escarole, "delicious" yet short in volume, my brother had the Salmon Bites (like a steak cut up) with tomato and spinach with a "generous portion of salmon." I had the side of Broccoli Rabe (FANTASTIC) and a Margarita Pizza and it was cold so we took what was left home. The photos are what the pizza looks like when you get home. We will Definitely be back again!!“
“They charge you on soda refills which was $3.50 a pop. It should be noted they charge for refills. I didn't see any notation on the menu. I may have missed it, but next time I'll order only one. It is BYOB place. I wonder if I can bring a soda??“
“We love this place. Have been coming here for years. Great food, especially the pizza. It has lots of seating including booths, high tops and tables. The bar is spacious and the crowd is friendly. The staff is great, no matter how crowed it is everything comes out quickly. Past night had the spinach dip that was made in a bread bowl, my new favorite appetizer, feeds two people. Plenty of parking.“
“I came on a Thursday afternoon after a long Wednesday night and let me tell you for those of you that don’t know these can be some of your toughest ratings based off physical and mental prowess. The food was stellar and the service second to none. I was just speaking with my party about what kind of burger we wanted and it came out split on the plate for us. Watching the bartender behind the bar absolutely command the grill was an experience in itself. I would suggest stopping in for 4 hours and leaving fulfilled.“
“I only had the beer so I cannot comment on the food, though...the reviews on that are fruitful and quite good.If you grew up in the Woodbridge-Metuchen-Edison area, you definitely hit up Hailey's on more than one occasion. D'Arcy's has the same vibe, just closer to the Jersey shore. "Football" scarves are in abundance, great crowd, great beer. What more could you ask for? The Irish are the best...or maybe I'm just a little biased. Slainte.“
“It's in BELMAR. Ok? The old Paul's Tavern, expanded to host up to three musical acts at once, great space and there's something for everyone!! To heck with this Lake Combover nonsense tho. Parking is definitely a pain, but it's a beach town, it's to be expected!“
“A great stop in point pleasant. We're locals, and we love it. The food and drinks are great, service is so friendly, and the atmosphere is fun.Vegetarian options: They've got a good mix of vegetarian options and American classics. Keeps everyone happy and full.“
“My husband and I recently moved to the area and go to Rella’s about once a week! Every dish is delicious and their service is always friendly and super! My favorite is pasta night on Wednesdays! Also their pizza is one of the best in the area. Thank you Rella’s!“
“Chic ambiance and fancy food. Bland taste; very fun ambience. Youthful staff in this stylish place makes vibes for upscale brunch. Sunday Jazz is great and enhances the mood. Fun light fixtures! Some drinks and menu items reasonably priced!“
“We just discovered this bar. It was recently refreshed - Clean, comfortable, and bright. Forget the old McCann's. Yay! A real happy hour - 12-6 every day. We're eating through the menu. So far, everything is excellent! We've had the wings - so fresh and hot. Quesadilla was hot and a generous portion. Shepherds pie to die for. Maryann is awesome.“
“My husband and I wanted to get in the St. Patrick festive mood. So glad we decided to try this wonderful Irish pub / restaurant. We were seated as as soon as we walked in the door. The place was crowded and festive. I ordered the Shepard pie ( wow best ever), and my husband had theTipperary reuban( wow best ever). IRISH CAR BOMB CHEESECAKE FOR DESSERT IS A MUST. Wonderful service, our waitress made certain we had everything we needed. She was very friendly and we will certainly be back soon.“
“We brought our family there who were visiting for the weekend, 10 adults and 2 babies. Sean answered our call when we asked if they could accommodate us all and he then greeted us when we got there. He was very welcoming and nice, Our service was great. I did not catch our waitresses name but she is a younger girl and was amazing. She was beyond friendly and attentive. We all got different foods. The special, butternut squash soup was a huge hit at our table. Everyone loved their dinner as well ( chicken franchise, lasagna, short ribs to name a few) and my leftovers were just as good the next day. We certainly plan to go back. Thank you to the staff there for a great family dinner.Kid-friendliness: Our waitress reviewed all of the kids menu options with us and both our waitress and Sean checked on the two little ones while we were dining.“
“Great dive bar with excellent bartenders. While it doesn't look like much compared to the other bars in town, it does deliver with its old style feel and more than standard drinks. You will never be disappointed or feel ripped off when ordering a drink from this place (cheap and made right).“
“Picture this: a tired, hungry high school lacrosse coach comes in wanting nothing but a beer and some food after a long week. He sits with some friends and out walks Diane, ready and willing to serve them with the utmost sincerity and care. She was prompt with everything and made the experience truly enjoyable. Without her, we would be starved, parched, and without joy in our lives. Thank you Diane, you've made my Friday night one to remember!“
“Braving the whipping winds, cold temps and rain going sideways as quoted by Ollie Williams, we stopped in to this wonderful gem. Upon entering this fine establishment the cozy atmosphere warmed us to the core. Friendly staff were also nearby to chat up and talk life.To take nourishment we ordered the cowboy sliders. Perfect flavor of bbq sauce, Mac and cheese and bacon on great patties. Each bite made me feel more and more like I was becoming Butch Cassidy and I was looking across the table at the Sundance kid. Highly suggest ordering this tasty chow, just be aware afterwards you may be putting on your stirrups to mosey on out! What do you call a pig that gets injured stretching? Pulled pork…. The flavor was smoky and the bun was toasted to perfection. Portion size was large and filling. Fries were plentiful on the side.Pork tacos and sweet potato fries. The tortilla was fresh and the pico delicious. The pork had great seasoning and juicyness in the cook. Definitely try it and enjoy your meal.Good place with great staff. Must visit!“
“We just had our wedding at Watermark on Saturday and I could not wait to leave a review. Everything exceeded our expectations!!! The owner Russell was so easy to communicate with and was hands-on for the entire wedding. We truly felt that by the end of the event, Russell and his staff were part of our family. The wait staff and bartenders were amazing. But the food blew our minds. I never expected it to be as good as it was. The weddings at Watermark are very non-traditional. There is no sit-down dinner, yet they provide more than enough food. The third course is called "mini meals" which they pass around in bowls. These were unbelievably delicious. And the venue itself was just so classy yet casual. The couches and comfy chairs, huge windows with an amazing view of the ocean, big dance floor, and an awesome second-floor deck. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a non-traditional wedding to check out Watermark.“
“My wife and I recently moved into the Brick area, and I pass the restaurant weekly. In doing some research<, I saw that they have a very interesting menu and several specials on Monday nights. My daughter and granddaughter were here visiting with us, so we gave it a try. Service, food, server and music were great. Will definitely be back.“
“Went with my husband today, he had the crab cake sandwich with house cut fries, both were delicious. I had the blackened shrimp poke bowl. First time I had a poke bowl and it will definitely will not be my last. I only gave the atmosphere a 4 star because it was super loud inside and I basically yelled the entire time to talk. We had Victoria as our server and she was an excellent one at that. Prompt and extremely pleasant. We will go back again to try something else and hopefully have her again as our server.“
“I am updating my latest review. We have since been to The Windward twice and both times have been markedly improved since over the summertime. Both times we were seated within a reasonable time. Waitress came to the table within a few minutes and was both attentive and treated us like family instead of aged customers.Drinks ordered and served immediately. Dinner ordered and served quickly. We both ordered hot open sandwiches which were served within 10-15 minutes. They were very tasty and we enjoyed every bite.“
“Shout out to Anthony (manager). Had lunch with my mom and niece yesterday and while there was nothing wrong with my mother’s lunch, it was not what she expected. Our waitress Brianna (who is amazing) mentioned it to Anthony and he came to our table and was unbelievably apologetic and brought out another lunch entree himself.“
“I stayed at the guest house for a month during the off season and absolutely loved it! Ross was so accommodating and his staff were all very nice and good company during my stay. The food was delicious each time I ate at the restaurant. Highly recommend renting a room at the guest house!“
“The food was delicious and our server was very sweet! The food came out quickly and the drinks were very good as well. Initially, the expected wait time was 45 mins but we were seated after about 20. The view from our table was very enjoyable and serene. I would definitely recommend coming here!“
“Unmatched Italian dishes in Asbury. The food was delicious & we were able to enjoy great drinks from the bar. I recommend the sidecar cocktail. As for food, one people from our party is vegetarian, but the menu did not reflect many limitation for them. We were still able to enjoy plenty of great dishes. Well done ??“
“Awesome place, nothing else like it at the shore, or in New Jersey. I use to be a manager at this bar years ago before COVID. Had a blast working there. Scott is a phenomenal owner, and it was nice to hear from some folks who told me they stopped by and said Lola's is still doing smoked bourbons and gelato. Thanks Scott, hope all is well!“
“Shout out to management for being vigilant. To Victoria for supporting the bar by running out sides of ketchup to us while the bar was slammed. Dillon and Matt were super great. Wanna send them some special praise. Keep those 3 employees as long as possible.“
“I'm sure this place is packed during the summer. Very cute seafood restaurant that is on the water. Lots of outside sitting. We started with the pretzal app which comes with jalapeño cheese. The pretzals come with 3 pretzal sticks. They were really good. I was very disappointed with the fish and chips. Huge portion but they had absolutely no flavor, not even salt. I asked for lemon and cocktail sauce to try and help. The waiter brought one small slice of lemon. The cocktail sauce had a good taste so it helped make the fish easier to eat. The fish was also so greasy. It is placed on top of the fries so the fries had so much grease you couldn't eat them. Definitely well try again because the food being brought to other tables liked so good. The fish sandwich looked really good and the chicken pot pie was huge and looked so crispy.“
“The jerk dry rub wings were phenomenal. The carrots and celery were very fresh. Two of us had fish and chips, which was not only delicious but a great portion for a great price. One of us had a chicken burrito (w/ tortilla chip & pico de gallo) special that was also delicious and a great portion. We all shared a peanut butter explosion, which was also phenomenal.“
“The food was delicious. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. Our server was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed, making it the perfect spot for a laid-back meal with friends or family.“
“I've been here many times, so I'm surprised I have never written a review. Last night, I had the ahi tuna tacos because I wasn't that hungry and they do not come with any sides. My friend had the filet mignon with cheese on an English muffin which was kind of a weird combination but she said it was okay. I forget the exact titles of what my other friends ate, but there are pictures here showing their food.“
“Great place to visit! Beautiful view of the ocean!Parking: It can be difficult to park during the summer hours. But there's plenty of parking a meter parking and along with handicap parking spots. During the summer it is outrageous to pay to park in the parking lots.Kid-friendliness: It's a fabulous place for children. Lots of rides for children and adults of all ages. Lots of live entertainment during the summer, they have stage performances for children and adults of all ages.Wheelchair accessibility: Very friendly wheelchair accessibility.“
“I come here often is a nice place to hangout and relax after a long day of work . The prices are ok and the staff is very friendly as usual . There is a pool table and jukebox to play music from . Not alot of liquors to choce from . Beers are ok . The atmosphere is ok nice people as usual. I recomend to any one at home bored.“
“My sibling and I decided to drop her for dinner tonight. We were able to sit outside because of the nice weather. I had my dog with me so outdoor seating was perfect. Our waitress was very attentive and our food came out quickly. I had a Maine lobster roll, which was very good with a salad. My sibling ended up ordering the Guinness stew and really enjoyed it. Overall, it was a good experience and I'd come back.“
“Crab cakes and Shrimp & Pasta were outstanding.Maple Old Fashioned and Pomegranate Martini were outstanding.Prices were fair. Ambience was outstanding.Leslie our server was extraordinary. Professional and personable.Parking: I'm sure timing may make it harder, but we had no problems“
“I travel for work. I come to this area twice a year. I have visited BHT 3 times now. My first time was a less than stellar visit. The host who seated me was polite all three times. My server never smiled, and during the whole visit, it made me feel like I was an inconvenience. She took my order and disappeared. Another staff member brought me my drink and appetizer. That is not unusual for this type of business. A while later, my meal came. While I ate, I could see my server talking with the host or up at the bar. Her body language indicated she wasn't having a good night. At no time did she ever come to check on me. She seemed more interested in talking to other staff while they worked. Every day at work isn't always going to be a good day, I understand that. Once finished with my meal, I had to wait for almost 25 minutes to get my check. Then, after taking my card, it took her almost 15 minutes to return for my signature. I was not impressed.6 months later, I returned. I saw the same waitress wearing the same aggravated look and was thankful she wasn't my server. Unfortunately, this server, an older woman, wasn't much better. The food was good, and being that I was staying at the Hampton Inn across the street, it was convenient. The service was again slow to a fault. You'd think I wouldn't return. This brings us to last night. Once again, the food was good and convenient. I had actually looked on Google Maps to find someplace else. I read a lot of reviews to see what others may have thought. There were several with similar experiences, but those were 4 months or older. So I decided to chance it. I am glad I did. Bryan was my server. I didn't see either one of my previous servers around. Bryan was attentive and had a positive attitude. He checked up on me often and was a pleasure to deal with. Unfortunately, this time, I was the problem. Being the bonehead, I can be from time to time, I left my wallet across the street in my room. I asked for a manager, and expecting pushback, I explained my mistake. He understood and allowed me to leave so I could return with my wallet. When I did, I was met by Bryan with the same positive attitude. Needless to say, I will be returning during my next visit to the area. It was nice to see that they had listened to the reviews and made corrections. I definitely will recommend this establishment. ?“
“Our friends were celebrating a birthday so we did a group rate brunch. The overall cost came out to be $60+ a person which I thought to be a tad expensive but it’s okay. The food was really good. We were first served some fresh fruit and danishes. Couldn’t tell you what kind of danishes they were, but they were surprisingly delicious. Next was the main course which was the chicken & waffles. The chicken was spectacular, the waffles were perfect, and the gravy was tasty. My only gripe was at random moments I would taste something super super sweet. Not exactly sure what it was, but it was sometimes overpowering. The short rib hash was tasty but a bit dry. Felt like it was just too much potatoes and not enough egg or meat to have a good blend. Overall it was a great time, the staff was super friendly and on top of their game.“
“Delicious food at a prime location near the beach - would highly recommend. I visited in the off season and their outdoor patio was closed but it looked like a beautiful place to hang out outdoors. The service was good but the food was even better. Their french onion soup is fantastic. We also had the chicken nachos, wings and pizza and all were delicious.Parking: It can be difficult to find parking in the summer, there is no dedicated parking for the restaurant but I imagine a lot of people just walk or bike to the location.Kid-friendliness: Definitely a kid friendly place, they bring out activity sheets and crayons for kids. It’s a casual setting.“
“I don't like a lot of these chain places anymore no offense to Chili's.. but the experience was very good waiter was great.. we couldn't decide what to eat so we had hamburgers and nachos and we were very satisfied with service.. this was a great experience after having a not so good experience with another place a few weeks ago .“
“I love the Boathouse, I just wish that I could bring my children here, we stayed veiled and we were held back and could not go forward. Excellent food here I highly recommend it.Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian menu , all of the dishes are very goodKid-friendliness: Kid friendly atmosphere“
“While somewhat short on atmosphere, this place more than makes up for it with great food (I am quite partial to their burgers) & great, pleasant service (thank you very much!). Definitely in my rotation.Parking: Plenty of free parking & if the lot is full -/ there’s plenty of street & train station parking right across the street.“
“LOVE this place! Love upstairs at Spicy! Always greeted when we walk in! Unlike many other places on the boards where nobody even acknowledges you for 15 minutes. Britney, Craig, Mike and Patrick are always friendly and quick to serve up a cold drink. Addicted to the chicken fajitas! CONSISTENTLY GOOD!!! Bathrooms are clean... great place and people! Mary at the downstairs bar deserves a shout out too! Always remembers what you like... Good music Great place. Arty and Sherry manage the place well!“
“What an amazing atmosphere. The owner personally greets every patron and treats you as if you're his own family. Lauren was our bartender. Very attentive, personal, and a fun personality. I'd recommend any of the burgers on the menu. Have been coming here for years, and will continue to come as long as they're here at the shore.“
