“Great place or brunch. The service was impeccable and our food came out in great time and was delicious. I loved the ambience. What a gem in Fair Lawn. We ordered the eggs Benedict’s and the Coconut French Toast. So good and perfect for a girls brunch or group gathering.“
“We got takeout tonight and everything was so good! Lobster egg roll appetizer, Grandma's stuffed pepper with angel hair pasta, burger of the day (Big Apple) and short ribs with side of potato gnocchi (instead of fries). Satisfying and plain old delish. Placed order over phone since some dietary issues and hostess was so polite and nice to deal with!“
“The food is very good without having a huge, hard to choose from menu. All food that we've tried has been very good, but nothing beats the burger! Ambiance is great, but sometimes need to have the music turned down (loud in the bar area & it carries over to the dining room). Service is beyond wonderful! Price is accurate to what you are getting.“
“An awesome super friendly place to come. Welcomes everyone. Very unique place. The grill has a Caribbean flare, with curried onion burgers and stewed chicken. They make their rum punches on site and they're refreshing and taste authentic. They have many events and lots of live music. The bar is ridiculously clean. Can't really go wrong here, whether you're flying solo or running with friends. Can even bring kids earlier in the night. If you like cheese steak get the J*** cheese steak! Crazy good comfort food that one.And the service is super friendly!“
“Just what it should be! Comfortable inviting local pub with great food. Wings, burgers, pizzas, salads etc. we ordered 2 kinds of wings, garlic parmesan and buffalo. Super crispy with the right amount of sauce for the flavor and not ruin the crispness!“
“1 night visit... But an enjoyable time in a busy, busy beer joint & bar food purveyor. It was Wednesday, which I understand is a weekly night for Grateful Dead tribute/cover bands. That night despite a slow start, the band got rolling with some well intentioned covers, including Tennessee Jed, which rang true. I did not sample the victuals but the menu featured bar food which, upon delivery of exemplars to my bellied-up-sittin'-@-the-bar neighbors looked good enough to eat. Look for the turkey?/chicken? on the roof. The OL is clearly a good ole joint.“
“This is only a review based on multiple deliveries through Uber eats. I really hope the owner responds to this review because, even though we order from Underdog often and like their food, we have a huge gripe with their cheeseburger sliders. But before I get there, what I do like about the place: they're really fast, prices are reasonable, the wings are great, and the portions are fair. We've tried a variety of items, including the filet mignon, and found them all to be delicious. Now about the sliders. These cheeseburger sliders are supposed to come with pickles, onions and cheese, and no matter how many times we order them, they are always screwed up. They almost never come with pickles or onions. And if we give them instructions when getting multiple orders of sliders to leave off the cheese on one order, they will leave it off on both orders. They never follow instructions. Just the other evening, for example, we again ordered the sliders, with no cheese. But, they were delivered with no cheese, no pickles and no onions. So we basically just got plain bare burgers. So disappointing, can you please work with your kitchen to make the sliders correctly and the order notes? It's really disappointing to keep ordering them and not have them prepared correctly.“
“The manager and the staff were super accommodating to our party who came last minute without a reservation. The entire place was extremely nice, and the whole experience was super affordable as well. We stayed there as long as our party needed, and everyone was so kind and hospitable.Parking: There is a parking lot that is on the block around the corner however, you just have to search for it because they sure a lot with another facility“
“Great greasy spoon local "townie" bar. Food is always a bit greasy but still delish. Burgers and onion rings are always worth it. The bar is decked out with local fair lawn memorabilia and a lot of FD as well. Only knock is the takeout is quick but the service in person so slow. Also no happy hour which is ... odd. Still love the place and will always recommend!“
“On September 23, 2023 we held a birthday party for my mother to celebrate her 90th birthday. We chose to have the celebration at the Fair Lawn Athletic Club for several reasons. In 1998 we celebrated my parents 40th wedding anniversary at the FLAC. In October 2022 we held a repast for my father at the FLAC, and as mentioned above, we just recently had a celebration for my mother at the FLAC with almost 100 friends and family in attendance .The reason we choose the FLAC is because Mike and Maura Campanile do an Excellent job with the events at the FLAC. They provide great service, great food, great communication in the time leading up to, as well during the event , and of course the bar serves up Great drinks! There are many places you can obviously choose to have events and celebrations at. We feel very comfortable knowing that Mike and Maura will ensure the event runs smoothly with their staff, providing great service and support.I would highly recommend the FLAC for any of your events.“
“Went back to Doghouse after a long hiatus and was pleasantly surprised that nothing changed except the live Jazz music on Thursday nights! Very cool! Food was the usual good greasy type except HUGE portions! My cheesesteak was large and tasty as well as my girl's grilled chicken sandwich... def get your moneys worth! Service was spotty but acceptable but then again it's a hometown pub, what do you expect? Stop in on Thursday nights for the live Jazz, saves a trip into the city!!“
“The food is always fresh; you can buy your fish at their market at the front of house. The restaurant can be a tad loud; but the food is outstanding, delicious, fresh and abundant. An amazing menu array, filled with everything from oysters to lobster to crab legs.In the area, Gillian’s is a quiet institution, known to locals and always serves up the freshest and the best.Enjoy!!Parking: Never had a problem in the past“
“I went for the first time this past Sunday and it was overall amazing! I didn't try the food however I did see a few plates and they looked delicious! The drinks are very generous if you know what I mean also the bar tenders were super fast and efficient and SUPER nice! It was spacious they had about 3 tents with bars inside and I loved the rustic ambiance of the place!“
“We tried to go to Josh's Kitchen on a Saturday night, walked in only to find there was no "Josh". Kitchen was closed! hmmmmmm. The gals at the bar saw we were hungry and sent us straight to Murty's. Hallelujah! We were told that the burgers are the best. And they were! Really good tasting beef, the fries were crunchy-delicious, and the coleslaw (yum!). The Chicken Curry (Irish style) was delicious over rice. And my shepherds pie was plentiful and tasty (I took half of it home for tomorrow). THEN we ordered dessert! Chocolate lava cake and cheesecake. Both were fab (I'm a chocolate person, so that was my thing. But everyone liked both.) Great pub, country music, MMA on the TV (I'm sure they all of the important games) and good beer on tap. This is a hidden gem. No line, not crowded and a friendly Pearl River vibe. We'll be back.“
“Fun night with The Kootz band! We hadn't been to Pub 17 before and went for the rock & roll. It has a great atmosphere and the food was pretty good, especially the pumpkin pie for dessert!Olivia was wonderful! She gave us exceptional service and great advice on what to choose from the menu. Before you read past reviews, please keep in mind that Pub 17 is fairly new to this address. There was another place here that was a favorite to the locals. Things change. That's just the way it is.We totally enjoyed everything from the service, the food and especially the band! Thanks for having us. We'll be back!“
