New American Restaurants near Secaucus, NJ

“This was my very first time coming to Borelli's and I'm so glad I did, it features a wonderful staff, wonderful food and a warm & friendly owner who has 6 grandchildren! My lovely date and I sat at the bar and got the last two available stools; it's a cool, small U-shaped bar with a lot of friendly people that are regulars there and they helped us make wise menu selections as did the owner. We started out with Bluepoint oysters that were just splendid and progressed to Bareli's meatball dish, which is definitely a must if you go, a few lovely Chianti Classicos for me and Pinot Grigio for my date, we were happy as a lark, we'll back tonight to see Lonnie Youngblood perform which I couldn't believe, he's 87 years old and still gigging. Somebody buy this man a gold watch! We were also told that the Italian pork chop here is not mind blowing superb. Two. Thumbs up kiddos.“

“One of the most friendly places in Secaucus. Food is nice Will recommend Not sure how they manage it, but the entire crew is responsive and knowledgeable One place I didn't experience the treatment based on my skin color at all. Felt like I was back in california:) Hope these guys keep it up.“

“Stopped in for a quick 2 slices today and loved what I got. Their plain slices are in of the better plain slices I have ever had and their white slice was pretty good as well. Next time I'll go for 2 plains because it really was just that good. I saw a lot of people stop in for sandwiches while I was there too so I'll make sure to try that out next time I'm back. Also the service and staff were great!“

“Had such an amazing time. Honestly this place deserves two Michelin stars. The service was tremendous. We were celebrating a friends graduation and everyone seemed to know. We did the vegetarian prefix and our friends had the normal menus. The vegetarian menu was fantastic and I never felt like I was getting a second class meal. Drinks were also top notch. Would recommend.“

“A very good restaurant. I definitely recommend the hamburger with the aged meat and not the Minetta hamburger.I still wanted to say 2 things -You can take down 2 tables in the restaurant and let people sit more comfortably.When we ordered the Soufflé (which is an expensive dish in itself) the waitress asked if we would like ice cream on the side and in what flavor. I tried to figure out if it was ice cream that came inside the plate, next to it, etc., because usually warm chocolate cakes come with ice cream next to it. But the waitress just asked again about the requested flavor. The soufflé (was great!) and accompanied with a bowl with a scoop of ice cream on the side and vanilla sauce. We didn't really touch the ice cream (the soufflé with the vanilla sauce was enough). When we got the bill we saw that the poor ice cream scoop cost $5 which of course they didn't bother to inform us when we "order" (we didn't even exactly order). I don't like such things, be transparent.“

Although it has lost its Michelin star last year, I still think it’s my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC so far. Had a fantastic experience here!The salad turned out to be a game-changer. As someone who typically shies away from salads, Don Angie's version won me over with its unique flavors and freshness. Each bite was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence.Don Angie lived up to its viral acclaim. My friend and I walked in at 9:15 pm, and we got seated in 20 minutes!!
