“If you like a small dive bar with cheap beer, friendly people, juke box, and a few fun games (pool table, ping pong, shuffle bowl), this place is for you. It's a tiny little get away for those of us that enjoy a laid back, casual atmosphere with non-judgie folks. It's not for everyone. If you don't feel like you fit in, or are a complaining Karen or Ken, then you most likely don't belong there. You can easily move on to one of the many other bars along the pike.“

“I am very pleased with my experience here. I went with a group of 5 and ordered sample tasting, so we got to try a lot of different options they have. They have standard and an upgraded option (for just $10/person); it is well worth it to pay for the upgrade. I liked most of it. But what was exceptional is the liver goose, the duck scrapple, the wagyu and the sea bass.They do a nice show (at the bar) with some of their drinks as well. In this video I recorded them making my double knot Manhattan. They fire some cinnamon and fill your cup first with the smoke. It actually gives it a nice taste.“

“Pretty good experience! There was a little bit of a mix up with what we ordered but they instantly took care of it and got us the rest of our food. Some of the food was hit or miss. The broll, Bloc party, Hijiki, and e I shumai was great but I didn't really like the chashu because it was a bit gummy and the wings were not my favorite. But other than that, it was all great. I will definitely come back soon to try more things :)“

“Top Notch cocktails, Wayne will not steer you wrong! Both times I've gone he came up with a different variant of the old fashioned, both times they become my new favorite version of the old fashioned. On my last trip there, he didn't hold back, he came up with a stellar old fashioned and served me the best margarita I'd ever had! If Wayne ever asks if you trust him, do it, he will not disappoint! He got a feel for what flavors I like and served me the most phenomenal marg in a big skull glass, the pineapple was so ripe and juicy and the drink itself had the perfect spicy/sweet ratio!! All the bartenders were friendly and served everyone well, we all had a great time! I also love that you can get to-go cups and boxes to enjoy cocktails and food in your room!“

“This is a spot for cool people, you will know when you walk in- that’s the vibe. I’m not that cool though and I felt welcomed (that’s usually how cool people make you feel). Anyways, the pickletini is dangerous, my friend had like 7 one time. I like this place!“

“Really cool bar to drink local spirits. The bartenders were super nice and let us try a couple different things we were interested in. Cocktails were really good. I would definitely go back. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was super chill but I can imagine that it gets really noisy as soon as it fills up. Also you can bring your own food, since they don’t have a kitchen, so that’s really cool!“

“This brewery is located at 5th street and Spring Garden street. It has a varied menu and I tried the hummus platter which was rich and smooth. Very fresh vegetables and warm pita triangles. A love stout vanilla beer which was smooth n creamy. My friend had an American burger with fries "very juicy" she like the fries too. My other friend had pork belly on bao buns steamed he said it was okay but he isn't pleased with most things unless his Mom makes it. Service was fantastic!! We ate outside in an enclosed area with ceiling heaters. Quieter. Inside there is a rectangular bar and a huge room filled with Highwood and picnic tables with TVs all around. A great place to meet friends and hangout to watch sports. There beers are excellent.“

“This was a place we stumbled on by accident, waiting for a concert at Union transfer. Small little place but the food was unique and really good! Service was a little lacking but it was a busy Saturday night. Seems to be a popular spot! Highly recommend if you're in the area!“

“I absolutely loveeeeeeee this restaurant!!!! Their coconut mojitos is the best thing everrrrrrrrr! The ambiance of the restaurant makes you feel as though you have transported to Cuba! I love the decor and the music that was played while we were there. Their pressed bread with mango butter is to die for!!!!! First round is on them but then you'll have to pay extra for another round and that makes sense. On the weekend the restaurant turns into a nightclub which I think is awesome! It's 20$ entry fee but if you are there your receipt is eligible for two weeks to get in for FREE! Def 10/10 !!!“

“Chorizo Pollo (grilled chicken,chorizo,onions, pineapple) was flavorful and portions generous. Chicken nachos were fresh and a good sized portion. Service (Jordan) was prompt and attentive without hovering. Had to park in the parking garage as this is located in a college town and streetparking is limited, but it's worth it. We'll be back.“

“Had not eaten the food, so I can't comment. But having worked as a fine dining bartender in Los Angeles, I was blown away by their cocktails. Their menu made the mixology need in me geek out. My friend and I went there for a quick drink between movies on Christmas day. And we were very pleased with the experience.“

“The venue is well decorated. Alert picture takers, photo opps! The burlesque show ( my 1st) showcased a plethora of talent. Oh and the costumes chefs kiss! Seating was on the second level which was close to the stage. The only hiccup I experienced was a couple sitting at my table after arriving from the restroom. They said they were seated there.“

“A very underrated tapas place in philly. People tend to lean towards barcelona wine bar or amada (understandable), but oloroso has some great options, too, while being relatively cost friendly. Patatas bravas are a must have if you're getting tapas and you can't go wrong with theirs. Besides the obvious, their charred octopus, gambas al ajillo, and NY strip are our favs. If you're debating between the veggie tapas though, I'd avoid the charred eggplant as it's the least flavorful thing on their menu.“

“I just joined Five Iron Fishtown and I love it. The location is great and I love the vibes of the inside. The hours are perfect as I generally go to use the simulators before work in the morning and work on my swing or play a round. I’ve also had a few lessons with Senior Golf Pro Matt Davis and I can already tell my swing has gotten better. With the technology they have and following Matt’s direction I feel like I’ll be performing a lot better once I get on an actual course. Highly recommend.“

“Great spot for a cheap burger that is good quality. A bit under-seasoned but you get salt pepper to add. Very reminiscent of home style / back yard barbecue burgers. Hard to not have some bias for how affordable it is at 6 bucks but I don’t think it’s a burger that trumps other bar burgers flavor wise. Fries are good especially soaked in malt vinegar. Don’t really get the appeal of going after sun down when it’s pitch black inside though. Makes it super awkward when people go to the bathroom and this blaring light suddenly appears in the corner of your eye or if you go and come out from a piss to see the whole bar squinting at you because you’re a visual disturbance“

“Literally if you live anywhere near fish town Come here !!! My fiancé and I got the meatballs and ricotta for an app AMAZING tasted like moms meatballs .. we ordered and spilt the tagliatelle with filet and truffles OH MY GOD ! My taste buds are SCREAMING I am 100% Italian and know flavors but this right here MANNNNN best thing I’ve eaten in a long long time ! Bartenders are so attentive and the atmosphere is awesome !!! “We went around the happy hour time. 4-6 pm and you have to be seated at the bar for the happy hour prices. The service was good, attentive staff. The food was good to my surprise. The crispy cauliflower and mushroom pita pizza are a must-try. The Thai chili wings and Buffalo wings were deliciously sauced, along with my margarita. The Smash burger is a must-try too. It was a cool laid-back happy hour spot. I will be back to try the rest of the menu.“

“Awesome time throwing with great Harry Potter atmosphere, didn't get to try the food but the drinks were good and the instructor Matthew was great, the Harry Potter theme and ambiance was awesome I asked at the front desk about more stuff ex (wand painting) they weren't too sure.We got to play 3 different games of axe throwing in the amount of time and was definitely worth the cose of 35$ a person plan on going back it was an awesome way to spend my birthday.If you have 10+ they have a den that you can rent that seems worth it and they can also do catering.“

“LOVED my wet breakfast burrito. It was really really good and the spicy sauce on top is *chef’s kiss*. Just a little heat in a well composed burrito. And big! If I wanted to stuff myself, I would have finished it, but ended up just eating half.The server was the bartender and couldn’t attend to us as she was really doing two jobs (prepping all the drinks and trying to keep our coffees full). “I was in Philly with my boss and a colleague for an industry event. They were asking for a place to go for a bite and a beer. I asked my daughter who is local for some recommendations and she recommended Good Dog Bar. There are many great restaurants in the center city area, but this one does a great job. At 6:30 on a Monday, the place was quite busy. We were able to get a booth. I didn't see any tables for large groups downstairs. Most of the bar area and tables were full when we started ordering. The beer selection is diverse and prices are reasonable. For my main dish, I had to try to vegan Philly Cheesesteak. You might say that this is quite blasphemous being in Philly and doing vegan. I'm not sure how they did it, but it was very tasty. They also have some awesome fries with it. As far as parking, find a lot or garage or it's better to use mass trans or bike.“

“Came in to watch the game and was surprised by the food and service. Lo my bartender was very patient and courteous throughout. I had the dry rub ranch wings OMG! Crunchy and seasoned on the outside and juicy on the inside. Great dipping sauce as well which added to the layers of flavor. My burger was the Swiss with bacon and a variety of mouth watery inclusions. Smash burger seasoned just right. I tried the love hazy IPA and it paired wonderfully. “Stopped in for their Thursday 5-8pm happy hour, stayed for the go-go dancer and the all-vinyl DJ! This place truly is special, frozen in time. The historic venue/bar has so much charm and life in it still. DJ Hardbargain and dancer Butterfly Jones made the space so cozy and vibey! 10/10 recommend for a drink out with friends and a sweet spot to dance.“

“Perfect neighborhood gem. Gastropub food is just delicious. Wide variety of food options as well as a terrific beer selection. Through the pub and then a doorway into the "house" next door is a very cozy two floor (maybe three?)experience, a house turned into an eating area, also a surprise pinball machine corner and televisions on both floors. Very unique, very comfortable. You just want to hang there all night as if it were your own house. Love it“

There is both a small bar with beers on tap and coolers with a wide variety of beers, both craft and the regular stuff which my husband was very pleased with.
