The atmosphere, the positive energy, level of preparedness, attentiveness to our guests were all amazing. Arriving at Oh’Brian’s from a solemn service to warm, welcoming staff was really wonderful. As guests arrived, they were brought to our private seating area and offered beverages and drinks from the bar. As people were greeting and gathering and getting situated, it was clear, staff was attentive and present.As discussed having the buffet style, everything was set and organized.People raved about the Garden Salad; The hot food entrees were phenomenal and plentiful; our guests felt comfortable heading up to get another plate. None of our guest felt rushed at any time and were grateful for being asked for drink refills. The bar service/staff was fantastic. The timing of the desserts was perfect. Despite the drizzly, dreariness of the day, guests took advantage of the canopied outdoor seating area-which is also lovely.We realize a restaurant works as a team, and this team was fabulous. Again, thank you, Colleen, for your open communications, input/feedback, flexibility and sharing various options for alternate layouts for accommodations. Again, planning something like this, there’s a deeper appreciation of having staff immediately demonstrate sincere kindness and understanding. Our family is truly grateful for the entire staff’s professionalism throughout this event. “I was looking for a decent restaurant for lunch while visiting relatives in the Montclair area. A friend from the area recommended Eagan's. Great recommendation! We had fried calamari, thick cut fries, chicken wings, bangers and mash and fish tacos. Everything was excellent. Our server was fantastic. I would go back again...and again.“
“Was looking for a spot near the Prudential Center to accommodate a group of 9 - on a Saturday afternoon after a Devils game and before a Seton Hall game. After striking out at a few nearby places, I was so lucky to walk into Mad for Chicken and see a large table near the door. The staff was top notch and so accommodating as the rest of the group trickled in. We never waited long for fresh drinks and our food order came out hot and quickly. The rest of the bar was pretty busy, and we never felt like a burden or rushed. It worked out perfectly, and I will choose Mad for Chicken for future trips to Newark.“
“Had a great time today with Brian as our server. Calamari to start..sooooo good. Buffalo chicken pizza was delicious especially with the crumbled blue cheese. Pirate rib rye was messy, juicy and my husband couldn't put it down. The chicken blt was the best my MIL ever had. We will definitely be back.“
