“Very very yum, cozy, lively place. We were just staying in Taos a couple nights. We chose this spot based on Google reviews, and we wanted New Mexican food. We still didn’t know Orlando’s was such an institution - there was a line! Luckily we arrived right ahead of their 5pm opening and even though we were a bit down the line we were seated in the first wave. They have a nice, large gravel patio with a fire and chairs for waiting, and the crowd was a fun bunch so it would be the fun kind of wait. 10/10 highly recommend.“

“Delicious and gluten-free rellenos! Great food in a fun, kinda quirky restaurant environment. So many GF options on the menu. Plenty of traditional options as well as some more unique ones. The ingredients are fresh and well prepared. Great service and food make this a keeper.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free. Wheat free.“

“Meal was wonderful. I forget what it was called though. Here is a picture. They are on the second floor and it is confusing how to enter, especially if the other downstairs restaurant is closed. Facing the building, go to the left end of building. There is a double glass door into a dark alcove that looks like an entrance to a closed restaurant. Try the doors. If they are unlocked take steps to the left to enter.“

“Jalapenos was the first place I visited on a trip four years ago to Taos. I'd just rolled in from visiting the Great Sand Dunes NP and was tired and hungry. The fish tacos hit the spot and looked so good on the plate that I took pictures. The service was so welcoming - despite the fact that I was probably wearing some of the sand from the dunes. To this day, I'm trying to recreate these fish tacos here in Louisville and can't wait to visit Taos and Jalapenos again. You know a restaurant is good when you still dream of it years after you visit.“

“Delightful greeting by 3 enthusiastic women preparing food from this food truck. The menu for breakfast we enjoyed for two mornings is traditional and beautifully prepared and tasty, giving excellent value for money. Sitting outside at tables with sun shades it doesn’t get much better.Parking: Located by side of food truck“

“Great place to eat something quick. The taco plate was delicious and there is a lot to order on the menu. The prices are also reasonable. The service was slow but friendly, but what do you expect? “Stopped in for dinner while traveling, and was very impressed with the food and service. The burrito supremo is one of the best burritos I have had in a long while (as is the house made horchata). The staff was exceptionally attentive and friendly, and service was very quick.Highly recommend this place!“

“A convenient diner featuring Mew Mexican cuisine that came highly recommended by many of the locals. The welcoming, friendly, expeditious staff offered us service that was above phenomenal! The quaint, authentic, adobe exuded a cozy hometown atmosphere reminiscent of a visit to the abuelos. The food was very good and authentic Northern New Mexican cuisine. They were also able to accommodate our large group without prior notice and everything went amazing!“

“The spicy chicken tortilla soup is actually life changing. Forget them having the best margaritas in town - you can’t come without having this soup. 15/10.Edit: back again the next day, had to prove it wasn’t a desert mirage. It wasn’t. The soup is real.“

“You're a fool if your on the way to Taos Ski Valley and don't stop in on the way up. This is a MUST for all visitors in the area. GREAT burritos and service too. Lena was an excellent host and I had a lifechanging conversation with her while she made my delicious breakfast. You may pick up some groceries too, and hit the bar on the way back into Taos for a celebration beverage after a long day skiing.I'm a fan of small businesses and this is a family owned and operated place for like over 50 years or something. This is the kind of place you can stop in every year, and I'll bet they will remember you each time! Love it!!!“
