“Food - We started with the Green Chilli Stew ($6.00) - and ate it so fast we forgot to take a photo! It was very tasty, the pork was tender, there was nice chunks of potatoes, celery and carrots. They also serve it with a small fluffy (fresh made) tortilla (Order the Bowl, You'll want more). I ordered the French Dip ($15.00), the bread was nice and airy, the meat was grilled to perfection and the cheese was gooey. Fries were house cut and really good and crispy. He ordered the Bird House Burrito ($16.00) - 1 large flour tortilla filled with refried beans, ground beef, topped with ribbon fry, smothered in your choice of red or green chile. Garnished with pico de Gallo and sour cream. This dish was also really good and very filling. Sodas were $2.00 and refills included.Service - Perfection! Greeted as soon as we stepped in the door, and shown to a table. Asked for our drink order, came back with drinks and asked about starters, and then came back to take our order. Offered suggestions and kept our drinks refilled. Fast and friendly.Atmosphere - There is a small town, family owned vibe going on here. It is more than just a cafe or a restaurant, it is a place you want to keep coming back to. It is also one of the few restaurants in the area that is open at 8am.“
“I have been going here for around 10 years. I typically get carne asada fries, occasionally carne asada tacos, bean and cheese burritos, and some other assorted things. My favorite thing about eating here is that for the past many many years, it is consistent, reliable, and the service is outstanding. If you are looking for a "neighborhood joint" for your Mexican food cravings, this is a great options.“
“I just Love their Green Chile!!! ?? I had a chicharrone so papilla with beans, smothered with Green Chile, So Delicious!!! My nephew had the ground beef Christmas so papilla. I wouldn't recommend the red Chile though, unless you like sweet. He also had a Chile relleno, looked very good!!! Service was Great!!! ?? The young gentleman was very attentive!! Would highly recommend this place!!“
“Wonderful mom and son place! The food was amazing, the chili wasn’t very spicy but had good flavor, and the sopapillas were fresh made right before serving! It was a nice little place to escape the chaos of the day into the comfort of my childhood food. The chili tasted like my grandmas. Thank you for the wonderful experience! :)“
“Good food, nice place, decent service. Had the Grand Tomas plate. That plate is not for small appetites. Came with a cheese enchilada, red pork tamale, ground beef burrito, chili relleno, beef taco, with beans and rice on the side. It was so big it arrived on 2 plates! I thought I had entered into an eating contest. It was delicious with good chili and plenty of flavor. Try it out I think you will like it.“
“Food at Garias is always very consistent since it's produced in a factory commissary and not in the restaurant. Like warming Old El Paso in a microwave but tastes better. My buddy likes to eat here, so we go, but it's just sit down fast food. This trip, the Sopapillas were definitely microwaved. The combo plate was a slab of cheese heated and reheated under warming lights with bits of offending vegetables shrunk into cheese oblivion. In spite of this cheese lava, the relleno was still frozen!!! FROZENThe server dropped the food off, literally dropped plates on the table rudely, and was never seen or heard from again. He was too busy arguing with another waitstaff.Overall, this was a huge disappointment in food and service. I am sure Mr. GARCIA is rolling in his grave watching his dream turned into a fancy vulgar mess.“
“It pains me to modify my review of this place. But $47 for two plates and a Burrito and the food was subpar at best. Very small portions and they still forgot my order of tortillas. Not sure what happened since Superbowl Sunday but it's really bad.“
“My mom and I come here all the time and it’s delicious! The owner is super friendly and he always remembers us. Even my grandmother, who is very picky and who was born and raised in Mexico, loves his food! The posole is the best posole i’ve ever had, it’s my favorite. Everyone loves his chili and my mom loves his gorditas. Everything we have tried from this restaurant has been so good.“
