“Holy smokes. Where do I start? Thanks to the entire Canteen family - and I say FAMILY purposefully as you feel the family atmosphere as soon as you arrive - for hosting our team for dinner last week. We booked out the whole restaurant and they did just what we hoped for: Maritime hospitality, wonderful, genuine service and knock-your-socks off food. The team from across Canada went bananas over the Crobster sandwich. The special welcome from the owners was a lovely touch. The guests raved all the way back across the harbour on the ferry about the wonderful meal from start to finish. It’s a lovely space that is not pretentious and puts an emphasis on fantastic food and exemplary service, with a genuine smile. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

Having the chef come out with the waiter to explain what was in each dish / course was also fun. They took extra care because of allergies too! “Was there for a late lunch. Very spacious, clean and great atmosphere. Our server Emily was very friendly and enthusiastic. Ordered taquitos (excellent flavour and lots of filling. Then I had the chicken fajitas which were huge and very fresh tasting. Emily talked me into trying the Churro bites for dessert. They are stellar all around pleased with my experience. Would recommend”

Today my husband is celebrating one year cancer free, and she treated us like family providing exquisite and delicious meals, she also sent us home with a some cherry cheese cake on the house. And to Anton ( hope I spelt his name correctly as well) for coming over to say hello and remember us from our last visit. To say that we are beyond happy would be an understatement. The service, the food and the welcoming staff truly separates this restaurant from all the others. Thanks again for making my husbands day, you really made him feel special and loved. “Been there a few times, delicious food and excellent service. Last night we mentioned our wedding anniversary. We had complimentary drinks from the owner. Our food server-Bihek was very pleasant, well experienced with the menu and went out of his way. Great employee to have on your staff.”

The portions were generous and reflected the prices well. The service was quick and exceeded any expectations we had. Our waitress was the nicest we’ve had out dining in a long time. “I just had to best experience with Evan’s and more specifically Manish. I ordered a large amount of take out chowder that was being transported quite a distance away. Manish was amazing. He had everything packed so well for us. He took time to write down instructions for me and explain them for me. I was blown away at how great the customer service was. The chowder was also delicious and everyone loved it. It was a very positive experience. I appreciate Manish so much for going the extra mile for us so it worked out wonderfully. Thank you so much!”

The wife made me haul a camper off of the highway, downtown to stop by - (I only agreed because it was Moxies) Service was a 10 star – food was a 10 star – drinks were a 10 star – this is probably the most consistent chain restaurant I have ever visited. I always review each experience because with most any restaurant, whether it be Moxies or any restaurant – each experience changes but with Moxies, it is consistent.”

“Sushi is cheaper here. My favourite is dynamite rolls. Sobeys sushi is literally the only place to get sushi within 10 min of my house. Don’t expect lots of options. They have California rolls and if that’s the only thing you like this place is perfect for you.”

“Usually goes pretty quick.There's a kiosk there, so you can order a mobile order on location.The only downfall to this location is you have to place an order to get the key for the bathroom”

“I’ve visited this location many times and have always had great customer service when going through the drive thru. I will note that the drive thru has a tight turn, so just be mindful if you have a larger vehicle.

My recent visit I ordered a breakfast sandwich and it was made very well and tasted great.

Will continue coming to this location.”

“Came in then evening of Feb 15th for a vanilla Chai latte and oreo flurry (order 291) and I was so happy with how the front counter staff went above and beyond to ensure my order was made correctly to my liking. It was very clean inside for a sit down experience as well, I would definitely make this location a favorite.”

“Very quick turn around on a take out order. We didn’t eat it until we got to our AirBNB in Peggy’s Cove and it was still some of the best pizza I’ve ever had.

“I don’t do reviews much but Sushi101 was incredibly delicious with an artistic flair that just added to the experience! We actually had to admire the artistry before diving into the various sushi roll plates. I am not one to take pictures of my food but the presentation of the various plates made me give-in and I did take my phone out for a few candid shots. I know it’s rude on date night to have a phone out but it really was that incredible!! Service was wonderful and a little wait is necessary when the food is coming out that fresh and beautiful. They were busy with eat in and take out; word must be getting out!! Well done chef and team at Sushi101!!”

The Tandoori Chicken Pizza had a great balance of flavors, with well-seasoned chicken, fresh toppings, and a perfectly baked crust. Shawarma was equally impressive. Overall a great experience.”

“North is one of our favorite local spots. They host fun events (the drag shows are wild and I love to see that type of support in our community). We love the atmosphere, food is great, staff is always lovely and the beer is always good - in fact, their sours are beyond the best around and I really hope they start brewing them again. I was definitely a bit disappointed that they haven't offered one recently so.... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back your sours! I also think their merchandise offered is more stylish then a lot of other similar places. It has a unique surf/beachy vibe that I hope they continue. What's even better is that they offer a 15% discount you can use on merch, if you show your receipt after dining in their taproom! Keep up the great work!”

“Finally had the chance to try Maria’s. Fresh pasta (Mafaldini) had never seen this shape before, 1/4”wide or so, looked like a lasagna noodle),Rosa Sauce and the best Lemoncello cake ever! Made chicken parm with the sauce and noodles and it was excellent. I can see this being a regular stop for take home ingredients. Also want to try the Porchetta sandwich so next Friday it’s marked on the calendar!”

“Selby’s bunker was amazing to deal with and came to my rescue with helping me get a gift to a friend despite me being across the country ! 100% recommend this local spot , and can’t wait to be back there for a coffee next time I’m in Nova Scotia ! We thought it was a little strange that the shrimp dip had full-size shrimp, and only three of them in it, would probably be better if they chopped up the shrimp throughout the dip, but otherwise everything was great!”
