“Honestly, I was just super happy to find a quality seafood boil spot that stays open late.Strolled into Cap't Loui for a late night mother-daughter dinner and was pleasantly surprised. We stopped in about an hour before close. Quick note: the kitchen closes 30 minutes before closing time - at least that's what the sign on the door says. We were greeted and sat immediately upon walking in. Everyone we encountered was very nice.We ordered the Boiler Special A, 2lbs of shrimp and garlic noodles. Plus a side of rice, of course. The garlic noodles were bomb! They were also very filling but the flavor was great. The Shrimp with Cap't Loui sauce was good. I wish there was more garlic in it but that's just my personal preference. We requested a spice level of 2 and it was perfect for us. Everything was good and we even had leftovers that were better the next day.Overall, a great night out with my Mom. Highly recommend if you're looking for a reliable, late-night spot.“
“HNJ is THE standard by which I measure ALL other seafood boil establishments! Everything I have ever ordered has been fresh, prepared perfectly, the absolute best quality, and simply delicious! Love this place and would eat here every day if I could!!“
“Friday night at 8... Family of 5 and we ordered the following (grading next to each dish) Cajun Pasta - 4 Rockin Shrimp and White Rice - 4 Chicken Wings - half Asian- half mild Cajun- 4 Strawberry Lemonade - 3 Lemonade - 2 Kids Shrimp - 3 Kids Chicken Bites - 5 Overall pretty chill little place. Nice beginnings. Room for growth. I would have liked the Rockin Shrimp to be on top of a bed of white rice instead of on the side. Rice was bland. Definitely considering the price point I think the garlic bread should be included with the pasta plate. No one liked the lemonades, they were overly priced and overly sweetened. Food was decent and for a boil it was ok. Kinda like hot & juicy on a smaller scale. I would prefer coming here just for the service alone. Pricing will be about equal as hot & juicy...maybe slightly less. Ambiance - music could be a little louder and tv ran the same instagram reel over and over Best part hands down was the service. This one dude single-handedly ran the register, served, was always checking in tables, and cleaning up all while being so kind & providing great customer service!“
“The prawns were the best value. Good atmosphere and fun experience. Not much meat in the crawfish but still fun to try. The sausage in the platter we ordered was really good and a generous portion for two. Medium spicy was definitely enough! Happy hour drink specials, with half lb portions of the seafood with comparable prices to the full pound, but good option for a small meal or snack.“
“This place is amazing! Great customer service and delicious food. I had the Las Vegas Chowder filthy style! Big portion and the ambiance was great. Our server was attentive and the music brought me back to New Orleans! Will definitely be coming back :)“
“We loved everything about this place! The food was amazing, fresh and served promptly. We were immediately greeted by the owners who offered a gumbo sample to our family of 4. My husband was ultra impressed with the rich authentic flavors and my son even more by his perfectly seasoned lemon pepper wings. The location was a perfect size and location. By far the best part of our experience was the wonderful and sincere convo with the owner Cornelia. She went above and beyond to make our family feel welcomed and left satisfied. As first time travelers to Vegas with the fam, we will definitely share the word with our Buffalo fam/ friends that this is a MUST-DO when in the city.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!“
“Purely based on the food, had the Pan Roast Combo and the Bouillabaisse. My cousin and I tried both so to the alluded combined the dishes. I do admit I would rank the mixture of the soups 1st and then my second favorite was the Bouillabaisse (by itself). The creaminess of the soup was really delicious for the Bouillabaisse but after awhile, it gets heavy so the combo of that plus the Pan Roast made it lighter. I also ended up liking the seafood quality of the combo more, the shrimp was a decent size and had an awesome chewy texture (better quality or better texture than the Bouillabaisse). The service was great for what it was. I admit that the place is small and there was 1 chef cooking the whole time and serving, and 1 hostess who also served as hostess, bus boy/girl clearing and cleaning tables plus server. I kind understand the small spot and small there, there was a 3 rd staff but wasn't sure if her role as much, but wanted to say props to the hostess/bus girl/server for wearing so many hats. Not a full 5 stars as I found the food a bit on the salty side but that could me.“
“We made it to a boiling crab in a different state, How fun! The Alaskan king crab was delicious, though it was weird hearing such a wide possible price per lb. We were told 70-95 a lb. The shrimp was fantastic! Loved the whole shebang sauce. Had the crawfish as well. Won't re-order the crawfish everything else was definitely delightful.“
“I like it here. Been here numerous times with wife and with parties up to 12 people. Nothing bad about this place at all. If I were to mention something negative, it would be the food served in a clear trash bag. Having to stick my hands into a trash bag to get my food out with useless gloves is absolutely horrible. But I'm guessing it's part of the "experience".The snow and dungeness crabs are huge and full of meat!Unless you can't stand oily hands, you'll like this place as well.“
“We stopped by here on our way to the airport heading home and it did not disappoint. Our server, Kenny was PHENOMENAL! Extremely attentive and knowledgeable. Offered great selection choices on the menu and made sure our beverages were never empty. The food came out quickly. Although they were short staffed, I couldn’t tell. Can’t wait to come back and try more cocktails and get that low country boil again“
“Wow food is better and better on par of palace station oyster bar , fresh salad , hot fantastic chicken gumbo but what stands out is the service from long time best waitress ever ANA she remembers are order and treats us like family this is reason oyster bar at Santa fe is now top stations oyster bar“
“In Las Vegas and looking for authentic, made from scratch, homemade cuisine? This is a must stop for a variety of recipes for everyone kids to adults. The ambiance is like being at a beach hangout and they have two large screens promoting sports. The owners and the staff there go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. The food is fresh and packed with flavors.Parking: They are in a strip mall so plenty of parking there.“
“Great food, services, little mishap on the chicken salad ( but problems solved by the manager and server ). Great server and his hard work ( Nico = Nicolas ) as our server. Food amazing and good work!Vegetarian options: confirm with server/staffsDietary restrictions: confirm with server/staffsKid-friendliness: family diner“
“DB cajun kitchen. I went for a particular item, but they did not have it. It is a seasonal item only but what I did was very good. The Gumbo Changa was unexpected but surprisingly good and the consommé sauce that came with it made it was even better. The combo plate with the jambalaya and Shrimp and grits were really good, I ate on that meal for the whole day well worth the trip. Would I go back? Yes I would go back but next time maybe not order so much food cause I was stuffed.“
“It's some of the best southern food I've had in a while. Fresh and hot food made with nothing but love. Staff were active and very good at their job. They were knowledgeable and still made my group feel important, although the location started to pick up business fast.Atmosphere: The only knock on this location is that the bathroom had a huge reconstruction hole in it. I kind of wish I didn't go to the bathroom, and this place would have had a perfect score, in my opinion.“
“We come here for the all you can eat sushi. This is the only place I have seen that lets you get all you can eat sashimi as part of the meal. Our server Kyle was extremely helpful in getting us everything we wanted. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. THANK YOU KYLE!“
“I love Hot N Juicy and this was my first time at this particular location. Celli was our server and she was great! Very knowledgeable on the menu and checked on us often. Our seafood boil bags originally had less than a desirable amount of sauce however, the manager TyJaun, was quick in his response to our concerns and made sure to provide a thorough explanation and solution. All in all a great experience. I’ll always recommend Hot n Juicy to anyone and this location is among the locations I will now recommend to my friends, family and colleagues.“
“Found it on Google maps and this place did not disappoint. Food was delicious, the only thing I will add is that I think it needs more grittier sauce - but the grit was on the seafood so it made up for it. Do NOT miss out on the clam chowder in the bread bowl. So good, especially if you dip bread in seafood sauce then pour soup over itFried oysters were served on the shell which was aesthetically pleasing + delicious. Wish we showed up an hr later as a band was setting up to perform and vibes started getting even better.“
“The food was absolutely amazing the flavor was on point.Super friendly staff. Our waitress was knowledgeable and patient with my party of 5.Food arrived in a timely manner.I forgot to get pictures of the food but we ordered the Boulevard which came with snow crab, Dungeness crab, crawfish, mussels, shrimp head on and shrimp headless. We also got the fried alligator (which btw tasted like chicken)“
“I don't care that this is fried chicken being sold in a convenience store! It is by far the tastiest, crunchy chicken I've had hands down! The honey butter biscuits melt in your mouth while the Mac & cheese is a creamy cheesy delectable! Their potatoe wedges are rugged and seasoned! I'm not a big chicken tender fan, but I must say they are crunchy crispy & fresh. Not oily at all. Definitely a fan!“
“We each had something different, red beans and rice, jambalaya, gumbo, etuffe crawfish, chicken salad and blackened chicken alfredo!! Everything was delicious. Our server was I credible. We will be back!!!!!!!!Kid-friendliness: They had non spicy versions of a lot so kids could eat.“
“Great music. Great food. I had the soft shell crab with shrimp. The shrimps are huge and meaty. I love a good potato salad and they have it.The only complaint is my dinner didn’t come with tarter or horseradish sauce. Maybe I’m suppose to ask for it but I didn’t get it. I needed something to cut the friedness. The waitress/cashier was chill and really good didn’t catch her name.“
“These guys came down to Alma Apartments for an event last night and I don’t think I saw any advertisements for the truck so I went out of the way to get their socials. The food was SO good! I don’t think I’ve ever had creole food before but whatever rub/marinade you guys use added so much kick to the meat. The chicken is legit one of the best I’ve ever had. Hope to see you guys stop around Henderson again in the future, definitely might have to visit the actual truck.“
“My parents wanted a seafood boil for lunch and we decided to check out Crab Island. It is located in the SW area. We walked in and were surprised to an empty restaurant! We were greeted by a friendly guy who said to sit anywhere we wanted. We chose a booth which is large and plenty of room for 4. The dining area is spacious and open with booths and tables. We still couldn't believe no one else was dining! We were given menus and I like that they have combos which include sides. The prices are not bad compared to some other spots. Started off with garlic bread which only came with 2 slices. My parents ordered the Snow Crab Legs Lover with shrimp, 2 corn, 1 potato and added 5 slices of sausage. They went with the signature seasoning and mild spice level. My husband & I ordered the Build Your Combo 3lbs with shrimp, black mussels, 3 corn, 3 potatoes and added 10 slices of sausage. We went with the signature seasoning and medium spice level. We were given bibs and gloves and a bucket for shells. The garlic bread came out first then the waiting began. We have been to plenty of seafood boil spots and the food usually comes out pretty quick and since we were the only ones in there we expected it to. But unfortunately that wasn't the case. We waited at least 25 minutes til it finally came! Our server came by plenty of times to refill our drinks while we were waiting and kept telling us the food should be coming out. Then another staff member from the kitchen came to us and told us the same thing. Our bags finally came and be careful when opening because there was a lot sauce in there. The shrimp size was good as were the black mussels. We are used to ordering signature sauces and usually they are more savory but the sauce here was actually on the sweet side. The lemons helped a little. Overall it was good. We like spicy but we went with medium because the server said it was hot but it wasn't. Our server was great when it came to keeping our drinks full. I did knock off a star for the long wait and sweet sauce. Can't say if we will be back but we gave it a try!“
“This was a take out order I have never had wrong order how this was the first the shrimp was headless and I double checked I for sure ordered head on and extra sauce on the side however when I got home there was no sauce on the shrimp so it was really plain I would give them another chance I'll just double check the order before I leave“
“Two people ordered 1 pan roast, 1 gumbo, and oyster. The portion size is large, so next time I go, I might just order just one rice menu.I heard there was a long wait, but when I went at 10:30 am, I waited about 5 minutes and the seats kept getting better even while we were eating.Recommended to go between 10-12pm!The food was delicious, but not worth the wait! And because it's right next to the casino, you have to eat with the smell of cigarettes! Oyster good good“
