Hinoki is one of our favorite restaurants for sushi and I tried their sister restaurant last week as I was in the mood for a Poké bowl. I was impressed with the variety and freshness of all of their ingredients, and I had a hard time deciding between the octopus, which looked amazing or the shrimp but I chose the shrimp and Ahi combo with lettuce, brown rice, a variety of sauces, ponzu was one with great flavor I chose mixed with the spicy Mayo. Superb Omakase comes to Reno! Chef is very knowledgeable and skilled with flavors that are both bold and unique as well as familiar and comforting. Terrific one-bites with extremely fresh and high quality sushi, meat and seafood. This place deserves a Michelin star IMO. Get the sake flight, it paired marvelously.

Literally the best place to get sushi in Reno. This is "real" sushi, not the Reno-typical AYCE. Expect a refined experience that's not otherwise available in Reno. While not quite to the standards of the best-of-the-best omakase places in the large coastal cities, the value for the experience is remarkable.Also, Francisco, the sous chef, is both a sweetheart and a dream boat. Never leave us, Hinoki O!
