“Best sushi in Reno! I was spoiled after spending some time living in the PNW, and after coming back to Reno, most sushi places were not appetizing- this is the only place that actually tastes fresh. Highly recommend. OA 1 & Golden Gate are a couple of my favorites here.“
“Our favorite venue at Atlantis is the Sky Terrace Oyster bar. The couple next to us had the oysters and they looked amazing as they headed to their table. We both have our favorite dishes to eat here... But with some new items on the menu we had to choose the Jalapeño poppers! We had no idea how wonderful this choice would be.. I think it's one of our new favorites! The jalapeños were seared with a thin layer of a crunchy coating at the base. The jalapeños were so fresh tasting, membranes and seeds removed nicely, so you get that "fresh" jalapeño flavor. The mildly spicy surimi Crab mixture was excellent, along with avocado, cream cheese, sushi rice, topped with Unagi sauce and a thin drizzle of a red spicy sauce as well. I am not a fan of overly spicy items with the exception of wasabi, so I was surprised this sauce was spicy but not overbearing. My husband had the poke bowl, which is his favorite, he was tempted to try the seafood or the Sky terrace fettuccini, but had his appetite set on the Poke! I had a bowl of clam chowder. The clams are easily edible and there are many! I like a creamy and flavorful chowder and this did not disappoint! We also ordered a rainbow roll, which was, as always good. We enjoy the beautiful view while dining, especially at sunset. As always the wait staff was great. This is one of our favorite places for a relaxing and enjoyable meal.“
“Food was delicious. Really enjoyed the Mt Rose roll and the ramen. Also, I had leftover ramen and they packed it to go for me—- separated the broth and the noodles so the noodle doesn’t soak up all the broth and get extra soggy! Never experienced that before. What a special touch. Thank you!“
“Literally the best place to get sushi in Reno. This is "real" sushi, not the Reno-typical AYCE. Expect a refined experience that's not otherwise available in Reno. While not quite to the standards of the best-of-the-best omakase places in the large coastal cities, the value for the experience is remarkable. Also, Francisco, the sous chef, is both a sweetheart and a dream boat. Never leave us, Hinoki O!“
“Came in just for mac salad, wish they sold it in a larger size because right now you have to order multiple little cups of it. It was actually pretty good, there were chunks of potato which I thought was odd, but it wasn't too many. Got a shrimp bowl which was good if a little pricey. Staff were friendly, the place just opened but it always seems pretty busy. I'll be back.“
“The atmosphere is always family oriented. The owners are very attentive and love making sure to make you feel like a part of the family. My kiddos and mom come here consistently and never have they had a bad experience. The food is amazing the drinks are so yummy and the people here are great!“
“We sat in a booth and our servers were Awesome. Took my daughter and granddaughters there for their 1st time. Servers were more than willing to explain to them what was what, cooked, fried,or raw. Everything was GREAT including the dessert. A+Parking: Giant parking lot to choose fromKid-friendliness: Took my 15mo and 12 yr oldThey had no issue with them. That supplied a high chairWheelchair accessibility: Not sure but I think that they would make it work for you.“
“Amazing sushi w/amazing service! Wonderful authentic Japanese sushi restaurant w/Japanese sushi chefs. We ate at the bar & spoke with our chef while we are. He was incredibly kind & welcoming, made you feel like family & like you belonged. Then, there’s the food. The sushi was amazing! I got a lot of sushi nigiri & a rainbow roll. Everything was perfect; it was fresh, prepared with lightning speed, & just tasted fantastic. Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had outside of Little Tokyo. Highly recommend“
“Went with a group! The food was awesome. Service was a little slow with around 8 of us. Ended up being there for about 2-2.5 hours. Did all you can eat sushi and liked pretty much every roll we got. The appetizers were also really good. Would definitely go back, maybe with a smaller group.“
“I will admit, when I first pulled up to the sushi restaurant I felt like I was going to be disappointed. Me of little faith, this place gets packed so be prepared to come on the early side. I found the variety flavorful, and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Especially the waitress with the blue headband and the tattoos on her right arm.“
“Family lunch date at the Mall. We each try a different restaurant when we do this, Today I opted to try Jas & Denis Sushi-Poke and I'm so glad I did. Very fresh sushi and great taste. Quick service and very attentive. Locally owned and operated - must try! The owners are amazing people. Thank you Jas & Denis!“
“We tried La Fonda for the first time, and it exceeded our expectations. Parking during lunch time was a bit tight, but the market next door was very busy. The place is spacious inside, and the service was quick and friendly. The fresh salsa and tasty margaritas were a hit, and my wife loved the fajitas. We didn’t get to try their dessert, but we will definitely be back.“
“Deliciously original sushi and amazing Udon noodles: I wish i had more room to eat some Udon after tasting my daughter's. This place was incredible for what it was. The staff was pleasant, as well as the atmosphere. What's more, it was close to the airport and relatively affordable. The $32 all you can eat price was reasonable for the options available. There was one roll with habanero that had a nice bite to it, but the crunchy roll was probably out favorite, yet the unagi that took a long time to arrive, that is my wife's altime favorite when we go for sushi. Unfortunately, we had to remind them staff twice to bring it by the end of our meal... I was tempted to knock a star off for the unagi delay (pssed me off), but i dont think that would be proper, considering how exceptional the rest of the meal was. The jalapeno poppers were a definite delight as well! Cheers and kind regards! Thank you all!“
“The quality ingredients, expertly prepared are the best I've had in town. I cannot in good conscience go anywhere else now. I normally go to the Atlantis, sushi pier, ohana, iiji, etc but after seeing the workings of the peppermill prep kitchen in action as I was touring the building, I gave them a try. Variety, ayce, clean airy space, excellent personnel, and the fish stands above all I've had in recent memory. Only thing I could nitpick about, salmon was Atlantic or farmed I believe, orange stuff. I've been spoiled by Alaskan red sockeye. I will return for all you can eat probably sooner than I should and in no way is that disappointing.“
“We love this place! The staff is so amazing, great customer service; and the sushi is great. They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian choices too. We had a birthday here and the reservation was quick and easy and Everyone had a wonderful time. Will definitely be back !“
“I really like the build your own poke bowl here. My wife and I have been getting poke bowls from here for years and it’s always good. Good selection of proteins, and all the other goodies ! They are consistent with all the fresh ingredients. It’s not really an eat at place, I usually get my food to-go, but if your in need of a quick bite they have a few tables to chow down . My go to is a regular with white rice , spicy tuna , salmon , shrimp. The ponzu/spicy Mayo combo for the sauce is bomb !! And then just get whatever veggies you want .“
“We love this place! I am not a sushi eater so their Bento box is perfect for me. My husband is a sushi eater and loves every roll he tries. Their house salad and cucumber salad are great too. We decided to buy sushi for a party. I brought in acrylic trays for them to arrange the sushi and they did a fantastic job.“
“I think my issue was letting someone else choose everything for me when I ate here. It was my first time, so I wasn't sure what to get. The choices that were made for me were okay, but nothing special. The ones I chose for myself, the mermaid roll and the Donald duck nigiri, were both amazing. I would definitely come here again and choose my own sushi next time.“
“There is something about the combination of shrimp, mangoes, brown rice, edemame, cucumber, crispy onion and lots few others with their sauces that is just so deliciously DELICIOUS! ? I crave the same things every now and again and it always tastes good. Love it!“
