“I participate in a book group and we had a package of Fireside coffee in our box. I have never liked coffee and thought I would give this a try. I fell in love with it and cannot go a day without it. I live in Michigan and order it online and get it right away.”

“It’s a no for us. We had our wedding reception here at the Tavern and while the food and drinks were amazing, the way we were treated by management was awful. (Serving staff was wonderful!). We started working with Wendy (owner/manager I'm assuming) months before the wedding. She had to make it known from the beginning that she was doing us a favor by letting us come here on a Saturday night. We paid her $680 for a ton of food, that she was trying to say wouldn't be enough for 40ish people (it was, we had leftovers), and everyone bought their own drinks (39 open tabs they got from us that night). All in all, they got a pretty decent chunk of money from us and our group. When my party got to the tavern, they were told we had an hour and a half (this would put us at 6:30pm) before they would be asking us to leave. This was a huge shock, as Wendy never mentioned a time limit for our event. We were always under the impression that we could stay there as long as we want, as long as our party was buying drinks! Later in the night, we were told that we had to leave by 7 because they had another wedding party coming. This was also never mentioned to us during the planning. So they started bussing our tables while people were still sitting down and made everyone close out their tabs and leave the Tavern. Well we ended up hanging out there until 8:30pm and there was no other party that showed up. It was completely empty up until the time that my groom and I left, and they closed at 10pm. Bummer for them that they missed out on all the extra money from that second wedding party. On top of that, the chef came out to me while we were about to start cutting the cake and asked if we would like him to cut it for us. He offered so nicely, we said yes please and thank you and he did a a wonderful job. Then on our way out, they chased us down telling us that we had to pay for the cake cutting that was offered to us. And on top of all of that, they were trying to charge us $100 for "corkage fees", when there were never any bottles opened by us. I didn't get the manager's name that brought us the extra $150 bill for cake cutting and corkage but he was flat rude. After arguing with my husband and I, and asking the waiter how many bottles he saw (zero open), he did take off the over $100 for corkage, as he should have. Our waiter who took care of us all night, Jake, was literally amazing. He had our back that night, he helped us figure out all the mess that the Tavern caused and he got us back to feeling good about our wedding night. Honestly, if we could have invited Jake to the after party, we would have. Oh and Wendy was nowhere to be found during this whole thing. All this to say, don't expect any sort of decent service from management and don't try to have an event here. Management is rude, they act like they don't want you there, and they push business out the door. At least you can have a nice pizza tho.”

“Excellent experience from start to finish. Great food in a beautiful setting. We had the lamb, which was cooked perfectly, and the prix fixe prime rib—everything was amazing. Edgar at the host stand was very professional and knowledgeable, and our server John was fantastic and helped us choose the perfect wine. He's been working at Ciera for almost 4 decades! The manager Christin stopped by midway through our meal and was an absolute delight. She also told us about the Thursday and Sunday prix fixe menu for only $70, which is such a great value. We can't wait to return! Get the lobster escargot you won't be disappointed”

“Quaint little restaurant tucked in a quiet place. The food and service was really good. We took our baby in a stroller and the folks didn’t bat an eye. She had a high chair to herself as well.

The namesake bruschetta was delicious and different from what I have had before. They also had a side of corn which all of us really liked.”

“You cant beat this place. A classic, casual and unpretentious spot, popular with locals and visitors. I love the atmosphere, especially at the bar, where you can order your favorite brew and play some cards games. They serve amazing food, my favorites are chilli and burgers. Must go in the area!”

My entrée was cooked to perfection, and the appetizers and desserts were just as impressive. “Enjoyed staying at Eagles Nest. Ski-out and Ski-in close by. The manager Billy is very active in being host and taking care of people. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great for skiers. Drop into Boulder trail from the back of condo.”

“My husband and I wanted some cocktails in South Lake Tahoe over the summer and heard that Cleo’s bar at the new Caesar Republic hotel is the place to try. We were impressed with the new cocktail bar and its bartender Justin. He was professional, polite, articulate, knowledgeable, and accommodating while handling big crowds. Justin’s drinks were amazing, the best we have ever had! He was to be able to whip up delicious cocktails quickly when the crowds started to roll in and everyone was complimenting his drinks. Located in the hotel lobby, Cleo’s did not have the typical flashing lights, chaos, and noises of a typical casino. Its ambiance was calming, modern, clean, well lit but not too bright with loud enough music in the background so we could still talk. We enjoyed our experience thoroughly and happy that we gave this surprise spot a try. The coffee bar on the other side has delicious foods, snacks, and treats with non-alcoholic drinks available. Recommend a try if you are happened to be visiting South Lake Tahoe.”

“It was OK. The ambiance isnt anything special. Felt almost cafeteria like. Nice views however. Took a minute to get a server, but theres 10 water fillers walking around. Everyone was super nice though. The spaghetti and meatballs didn't look like anything special, but it was delicious. The mushroom ravioli was also tasty, but on the barely warm side.”

The salmon entrée was cooked just right — tender inside with a crispy seared edge, served with creamy mashed potatoes and fresh greens, making it both rich and healthy.

The green soup was surprisingly delightful — smooth, flavorful, and visually stunning with a delicate cream design on top.

Overall, the restaurant offers elegant plating, fresh ingredients, and a calm, cozy atmosphere. A great place for a relaxing dinner or date night.”

“Nice on mountain ski lodge with basic foods and drinks but decent seating. Have a good array of indoor, partially outdoor, and outdoor seating between comet and dipper lifts. Food choices are limited and of varying quality. On weekends, they have the grills going with hot dogs, hamburgers, and sausages.typical prices for on mountain restaurants, meaning double the price you would expect in town.”

“Fabulous dinner experience. Our waiter Jim was very considerate and supportive to enjoy the evening at our timely pace. The food was tasteful. The oyster Rockefeller wasn't hot. But tasty. Sage prepared the coffee diablo. The coffee diablo was prepared at our table. I will skip the coffee diablo next time. Unless, if the presentation explained the contents in the drink, instead of us asking HIM what he was doing and pouring . We will return. However, we won't order too much next time. Prices were high, for a party of four. Mahalo for the complimentary birthday dessert.”

“Our waiter, Wes, did an outstanding job to make sure we had the best night. It was my birthday and he brought a little surprise with a candle even when we did not order desert. He ran to the kitchen to make sure we could still get a starter when we changed our mind after ordering. He brought extra sauce for the beef Wellington, which was delicious! Overall, could not have asked for a better birthday dinner. Thanks Wes, you made our night!”

“Came here after watching hockey. James was our server and he was fantastic. Super friendly and helpful. I had the Cajun shrimp sandwich and my husband got the pizza chips. Definitely try the beer cheese!”

“This place was pretty good. Went here during happy hour was really surprised on the specials great price. We’re good. Eats recommended to try to any sushi lover really friendly staff. They really try to make your food the way you want it as well.”
