“We are very happy that this restaurant has opened. The food and ambiance was delightful. Typically, many ramen shops serve ramen that is too salty. However, not this place. The manager told me that they made their ramen less salty to suit the tastes of the area diners. Terrific. Our ramen was perfectly done (not salty). From the appetizer menu, you must try the short ribs (amazing flavor) and the takoyaki (delicious octopus dumplings). We will definitely return as this is close to our house. I'm sure we will be regulars. Very friendly staff as well. Nice decor. Overall, a must try.“

“This place I'm happy to say downstairs below my office. The girls are friendly! The food is amazing and it's beautifully displayed. I sat down I've had lunch service was very good. I'm a big guy and I couldn't come close to eating all of it it was so much food. I got to eat two times from one meal. It had lobster shrimp noodles egg vegetables and a great broth. I recommend you try the spicy oil put it in that which really made it spicy which I like!“

“I ordered delivery through Uber eats last night and I was definitely impressed with presentation of food.. chirashi was beautifully presented as you can see in the picture and fishes were very fresh.. they could provide bit more rice though.. this is the smallest rice I ever seen in chirashi. Also, I ordered spicy salmon maki but they sent regular salmon maki which wasn't a huge deal but still bit disappointed.“

“The server was very friendly and kind, and the service was quick and attuned. The ambiance is very comfortable, where although the seating are a bit on the tighter end, it's still distanced enough where you're not on top of each other. The hojicha latte was delicious where it was perfectly sweetened and thoroughly mixed without tasting any grains of undissolved powder, highly recommended! The Karaage was very tender and juicy, with a nice crisp and delicious aioli to pair perfectly with it! The Tsukemen Ramen, although flavorful due to its rich dipping broth, was a bit overly simplistic where the ingredients didn't really add much to its overall flavor profile. Adding some corn or seaweed may enhance the dish further by giving it more pleasurable contrast in terms of texture and flavor, but that's just my personal opinion and preference. However, the noodle had a nice bouncy texture and the egg was flavorfully gelatinous, which were both delicious. “Loved the food! Everything was fresh, hot and delicious! It was a bit dark inside which made it harder to see but all in all the hostess/staff was very attentive even with our big group on a Sunday afternoon! I would definitely be coming back again!“

“Quick, attentive service and an extensive menu. So hard to choose which dishes to try first! Outdoor dining is well lit and looks cozy but actually fits many tables and configurations for parties of all sizes. Saw outdoor tables for two and tables for up to 10 while we were there. We’re lucky we went early and got a table immediately. Make a reservation though Bc they seem to fill up fast. Also, live music started around 7pm on a Saturday!“

“Kaiyo has become our new sushi spot. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. Also the hot food is spot on, the tempura and teriyaki is fantastic. “Nohara Ramen is the solid choice for Great Neck and the surrounding area.The Char Siu that is served with some of the ramen is tender and tasty. Many of the appetizers such as the Nohara Fries and fried chicken are well prepared. I’ve gotten to know the staff in this restaurant since we do take out from them each week and eat in once in a while.Good people making and serving good food. This restaurant survived through COVID based on their commitment and quality.“

The ramen is not as flavorful as I'd like it to be, but the service is really great and food comes out in a timely manner. Their appetizers are fun and could make a meal with just a collection of them if you wanted. They also do carry the fun Japanese melon soda which surprisingly pairs well with all the savory food. Add-ons are a bit of a nickel-and-dime situation, but they are generous with the portions of the add-ons. Food was a 3.5 but for service and atmosphere, I gave it a 4 total.“

Diners were praising the ramen I hear from other tables. Ordered potato croquette. The croquette was made with precision flavors. Tasted the freshness, outer fried layer was also very golden. Being familiar with ramen with experience in having eaten in Japan, this is NOT on the same level. However this is a 5-star review because of its solid consistency, as shown by how the crowds were willing to wait outside. For me the star dish was the fried tofu. Friedness level was good and interior quality of the tofu was also decent but it was ultimately the sauce that it was drowned in! That was made with very well-thought out flavors. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Portions were large. Areas were clean and tidy. Ambience was cute with manga decor. Overall, this makes a great spot for smaller groups. Upstairs also looked very happening with those skewer options. Will try next time.“

Lots of choices on the menu, we took our time and ordered a few different plates. “First of all, I wanna say the only reason why I ended up going to dinner there was because of the naruto picture on the front of the menu. I am a naruto fan and walking in there it had a great naruto feel to it. Now, the food the food was amazing. My son and I had just finished watching a movie and we were hungry, so we decided on some ramen to warm us up.Everything we ordered was served quickly by some very nice ladies. My spicy tuna roll was delicious and my son enjoyed his takoyali very much. We both ordered Tonkotsu ramen. I always order miso ramen, so it was my first go with Tonkotsu. I liked it. As did my son. Wish I could compare it, so.I.could rate it higher.Atmosphere was nice. And everyone was very friendly.“

“The vibes here really make you feel like you are in Japan or Korea. It’s small, it feels homey. The woman serving us was serving all the tables, she did a great job. The food that came out was fresh, authentic. I wasn’t a big fan of the dumplings to be honest but everything was great. Portions are also big.“

The chef was funny and very accommodating to special requests. I had the steak medium which he actually did medium thankfully. Shrimp was clean! Clap it up for no veins! Lol this passion fruit tea was actually really really delicious. Not too sweet as some passion fruit flavored drinks are. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the scallion pancakes. “My lunch bento box was freshly made and very tasty. The chicken was tender the sauce was not overly sweet nor too much. The vegetables fresh. Only downfall was the California roll which was just ok as were the three small cigar size spring rolls Will definitely go back and try the different items as well as the basic Chinese food items“

“When there for a quick lunch for two. Upon entering we realized we were the only guests in the restaurant. The staff was quick to see us and sat us down at a booth. The place is spacious and gives nautical vibes. Ordered two ramen combos which have the options of one ramen of choice and one appetizer for choice. I had the spicy ramen with soy chicken wings and my partner had ramen and buns. The food came at a decent time and was hot, service was good as well. The only small take back was the bathroom could use a little cleaning. Overall I would recommend this place and would go back to try the seafood options.“
