“In the rare times I’m craving ramen from a mall food court, I trust Menya for it.Maybe that doesn’t sound like a glowing review but I can’t help but compare this with the original standalone Menya Sandaine in Fort Lee!But at least my usual favorite the spicy karakuchi tastes similar enough!I’m not quite providing full stars because the presentation matters, and it’s hard for me to feel fully satisfied by ramen in a takeout container.In summary, I’d usually prefer the standalone location but sometimes you take what your schedule allows.“

“I used to live in the area ; was up visiting family and I stumbled on this place by way of an IG reel so I figured I would give it a try because (a)-it was the Friday that NJ experienced a 4.8 earthquake and I most certainly didn't think I was in the right headspace to do any cooking and (b)-this place was literally 1 mile away from my mother's house so I figured I'd pay the extra overhead and have it delivered because it was so close.Let's get the con out of the way; despite me putting my address in and stating where I lived the food was never delivered. I received prompt notifications on my phone about it being almost ready & that it was on its way..but I literally was standing in front of the single family residence and received a text that my food was delivered but it wasn't. Not the best first impression..When I called the establishment Chelf Salty communicated his dismay and stated he would remake my order for in person pick-up; I appreciated his effort to make this right so I agreed.I'm glad I did.I ordered the spicy miso ramen, the tori katsu ramen, and the stamina ramen (was sharing with mom).The spicy miso ramen has a nice kick, the ramen noodles have a good chew and the pork confit was silky. Katsu ramen and stamina ramen though brothless had great balance of flavor between the amazingly dressed noodles (again nice kick in heat/flavor that wasn't blindingly spicy), perfect jammy eggs and the the chicken katsu was DIVINE..perfectly crisp..juicy..and again..great balance of flavor in the chicken.If you don't feel like getting in your car to drive to a ramen place and just want to tuck into some yummy ramen at home do give this place a try..I'm glad I did. Is it the best ramen I have ever had in my life? No..but I think it holds its own with the other ramen places in Essex county and again..I think it's a great option for the peeps that live in Nutley/Belleville area that just want to tuck into some good comfort food that isn't pizza or mexican-give it a shot!“

“Freshest poke bowl around!! We went here for the first time after hearing great things and loved it. The fish and toppings were extremely fresh, more than most places we’ve been to in the area. We ordered the Salmon Lover bowl and made our own both were great! Service was fast, attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.“
“The food and service were excellent. Appetizers were great, including the Chicken Karaage (Bites) and Squid Skewer. Beef Gyoza was tasty as well. We had 3 different types of ramen, and all were delicious. The seafood ramen was good and hearty, and the pork broth was great. The pork cutlet was really good quality, meaty and soft. The service was very nice, helpful and friendly. Overall, a great experience and we'll definitely be back.“

“Best shoyu ramen ever!!! I eat at Ramen Matsu every month. The quality is really consistent and the ramen makes my stomach so comfortable. I brought a lot of my friends there, and they love it too! It’s a hidden gem place if you haven’t try it yet. The food comes out fast, and the rice bowl is also tasty, it’s one of my favorite restaurants in NJ.“

“The Shoyu Ramen with added Nori seaweed hit the spot and was perfect. The mixture of the soy sauce and chicken broth was delicious. The chicken version was charbroiled and added to the layers of flavor. It also comes with pork, if desired. The kikurage mushrooms are also very good. I would highly recommend this dish and literally ate every last drop!“

“Let me start with the constructive feedback- and if you are still reading based on the scoring- you clearly want to try this place. -Wish there was a more accessible entry- not stroller friendly. -Wish some of their dishes came with sauce to dip in since a lot of it is finger friendly. -Wish their menu didnt label all the seafood items as vegetarian. Now the good, because a little bit of lifting and asking can help with the above! Service was amazing. Our server was super informative and guided us on our culinary excursion. Szechuan Ravioli- spicy vinaigrette so may be a little on the sour side for some, nice crisp on the outside Fried Rice- serviceable, not much to it Impossible Duck Bun - vegetarian, nice flavor profile and a good bite Vegetable Bowl - lots of veggies and a choice of noodles or rice. Get the noodles. Shanghai Wontons- we ordered this last but we should have done this first... and in multiples. My fav dish because I am a sucker for spicy peanut sauce. Spicy Vegetable Bun- also a great bun, cant go wrong with any of them really. Nice sauté on the vegetables and great flavor. If you made it this far....go! Get those shanghai wontons to start and see where your journey takes you!“
“A cute, small spot packing lots of flavor in their ramen. We came as a group of 4 and were able to sit right down. Its casual, and well set up with tables and an open view kitchen. We orderred pork, chicken, and shrimp buns for appetizers, however, they came out at the same time as our meal so we just ate them all together. The buns were really yummy; the pork was tender & came with a tasty sauce. The shrimp and chicken were fried well and very flavorful, too. As for the ramen, we all thoroughly enjoyed our bowls. The Tonkotsu and Karakuchi (spicy) broth had a rich flavor, that was delicious to sip on. The ramen noodles were cooked perfectly, and the accompaniments were delicious. It came with bean sprouts, a marinated egg, pork chashu, and we added bamboo shoots. As a suprise, they gave us a bubble tea ice cream bar at the end of our meal, too. Prices were more than reasonable. I would definitely go back!“

“My husband and I come here, this is the first place we came to on my birthday a few years a back. So we have always come as an our little cozy food place! The employees have always been kind. When we first came it actually reminded a lot like a family/friend vibe.. nice hospitality. Addicting cucumbers, chicken broth (I forgot the name) with a side of white thin noodles then even with a side of egg, plus an order edamame. Simple and yummy, great for cooling our stomachs. “The ramen is amazing every time I go. Still top ramen spots in NJ. Service is fast depending on how busy it is, but due to popularity, it is usually busy. Atmosphere is good, but usually trying to find a place to sit is a challenge, again, due to popularity, as it's in a food court style seating. Worth the wait as well as seating challenge though for sure.“
“I order from Poke Zone every few weeks and am always impressed by the freshness and flavors of their poke bowls! The staff always gets the ingredients correct in the make my own bowl. I usually go with the white tuna and salmon combo and it never disappoints. The sauces and toppings are also on point! Highly recommend!“

“I came here for the first time last night. I’ve been to the other restaurants with the same name I have to say I think the atmosphere here is better it’s bigger and it’s just more comfortable. The waitress was nice and speak much English but she knew what I wanted. I ordered the combo with ramen soup & teriyaki chicken. It came with white rice.. I was very hungry so I ate everything. I love the broth of the soup. It’s very delicious. It was cold last night so this really hit the spot. They have plenty of parking and Plenty of seats. I highly recommend this restaurant for Ramen..Parking: there are a lot of parking spots. No problem to get a spot here.“

“This is an arranged Japanese restaurant that is common in America.What's especially noteworthy is that there is always a set meal with two or more types of fish, and the gyoza is extremely delicious.The fish set meal is completely different from Japan, but there are no places around 168th that serve fish set meals, so I was very grateful.And the gyoza are properly Japanese gyoza. The balance between the skin and toppings is exquisite.I dare say that these are the best Japanese gyoza in Manhattan. It's a mystery why they're offering it so modestly at such a corner. Our favorites were the ramens we had which was the red spicy ramen and the black garlic ramen. Both had great flavor, came with a lot of noodles and the chashu was cooked very well to the point where it was super tender.“
