“What a find! A friend recommended this place and I have to thank them for doing so. Would suggest the wood-fired octopus, very well done and among the dishes that will bring me back. We tried the Robiola pizza off the recommendation and if you want to mix it up from the usual pizza I would recommend. We ventured from the Italian offerings and had the Truffle Burretta Burger with prosciutto. Try it!! You will be amazed. We saw the food coming out to other dinners and it all looked delicious. Great service as well.“
“What a happy surprise! I came to this pizzeria being a little bit skeptical, because my past experiences with places using a brick oven have been a little bit underwhelming. But I really did like their pizzas! We had the olives and grilled vegetables to start with, and the amounts of those plates were fantastic. We were a table of 5 so we decided to each choose a pizza and then put them in the middle so that we all could try them. I chose the s.t. ghost pizza, which is basically a four cheese but with a twist - no blue cheese, more sweet cheeses, and burnt honey! It was my favorite. The crusts of the pizzas were soft but at the same time crunchy, and I loved that they didn't feel tasteless or chewy at all. Between those we chose, we also wanted to risk it and order the meatballs pizza. I don't know what I expected, I was ready for the worse, but it wasn't bad! They have a good selection of beverages, wine and a few beers. only downside- they didn't have any tiramisu :( but I'm not going to penalize them for it!“
“Wonderful ambiance, staff is courteous, helpful and very knowledgeable on menu items. They are following COVID guidelines, the place is clean and looks like they have upgraded the decor. The food is delicious and hot. Their tomato sauce is perfect! The sangria is very good too. Great little neighborhood place.“
“Without a doubt the best pizza I’ve had in Astoria, and great prices too! Super quick whether I’ve done takeout or delivery, and the vibes of the actual location are immaculate as well. Had a party recently and ordered three pizzas and people are still raving about it.“
“This is a local food place with Balkan cuisine in Astoria, Queens.I recommend their barbeque, anything from the grill, roasted lamb or veal would be my choice. This is pizzeria predominantly, but I tried only meat today with my friends.Moderate prices, generous portions!Fast service, attentive owner.Close to 30th Avenue, buses Q18 and Q102 are in a few steps.Lot of parking space on the street.“
“The interior was cozy with paintings of Italian landscapes, and the Baked Clams and Ravioli Porcini were a little salty but very tasty. The bread before the meal also had a unique and attractive taste. Needless to say, the steak melted in my mouth. The taste of the coffee did not disappoint my expectations for an Italian restaurant. I was satisfied because I was able to enjoy the taste throughout the meal.“
“I personally know the family that runs this establishment and I always feel like family walking in. Their cheese slices are always on point and they repainted the interior a few months ago. Definitely a nice spot.Vegetarian options: I’ve had the mushroom, black olive, and vegetable slices, and they’re all delicious.“
“Absolutely wonderful place with outstanding dishes. Let me clear out couple things. When you come in to dine here it feels like you just travelled to Italy. Every single item on the menu has a unique authentic flavor and you can even taste the passion and care that was put into preparing it. We are so glad we discovered this place and from now on not only us but our friends are big fans of ViaVai.It is a small place with amazing atmosphere. And if people say that food preparation takes too long, I don’t know what is too long when at the end you receive an absolute masterpiece on your plate! There is no hit or miss at ViaVai, every single dish on the menu will make you happy.Try everything and do not forget panna cotta at the end!“
