“I order very frequently here. Always on the app (Which I highly recommend as you get points and can see all the deals). I always order the 2 medium (up to 2 toppings) pizza for $6.99 each. It’s such a great deal and some times I add also the jalapeño bites. In my birthday month I also claim the free cookie pie. Many times I’ve claimed $10 off rewards from my app which I can combine with their deals. Again, highly recommend getting the app.In terms of the pizza and the food, I’ve never had any problems. Always taste good. The pizza is generally made very quickly.I always order for pick up at that moment. Some times the app will tell me a longer wait time like 30-40 instead of 15-20 but I find that it’s still done at 15-20. But the email is great at telling you the status of the pizza. The pizza always has a good amount of toppings.I recommend this papa John’s.“
“Pizza is good, typical of all Pizza Huts, staff is very helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately it is all to go, you can no longer sit here and eat, all tables and chairs have been removed since covid 19 and have not been replaced. The place itself could use a renovation, but otherwise the pizza is good“
“Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“
“Great place.. Amazing dishes and desserts. Amazing staff and host. Will definitely be back. —— If I had one con, it would be the speaker volume. It really needs to be at an appropriate dinner volume in that you can have a discussion with that people at your table and not shout. We asked twice for it to be lowered. But I’m unsure it was ever adjusted. Loud club-music volume while dining is just unnecessary.“
“This is one of my top choices for NYC style slices of pizza. I had the Tarftu and the L’Industrie slices. They were delicious despite the fact I eat them when they got cold. The ingredients was fresh. I like how they put oil on it and they have chili oil available too. They put fresh basil on it also. I am not going to lie it is expensive but it is worth the splurge. I love the unique flavors. Best to come on a Monday night when there are no long lines. Definitely coming back for the Fig and bacon along with the New Yorker slice.“
“Scarr's been on my "to try list" for a while and had the chance to try a couple places at the time. Definitely worth it. I had to wait a bit at the old location but it's only because of how tight it was inside.Service was great, cracking jokes with people waiting and even realized he gave me a small slice so he swapped it with a bigger one, that was appreciated !Try a couple slices at the time, it's worth it.“
“When we came we thought that it is going to be like many other good Neapolitan pizzas but it was simply THE BEST. Very nice environment and great service. The pizzas were so good and delicious so do the desserts. The many attempts we did for getting a reservation were completely worth it. Highly recommended!“
“It is very good but not worth going out of your way to obtain. Worth trying once if possible. We drove from Jersey, paid the toll, and waited 40 minutes for a margherita pie. We ate two slices freshly served, and they had a nice crispy bottom and balance of sauce. It was lacking a bit of salt for me. We ate another microwaved slice at home, and it tasted no different than any other Jersey pizza. Please note it takes at least 40 minutes to prepare from the time of placing a takeout order.“
“I cannot stress how good of experience this place is. My mom grew up in Brooklyn and I grew up sporadically experiencing Spumoni Gardens and fondly remembered it in my childhood as a place with very good pizza. This past December however, I had an exemplary experience with Spumoni Gardens. My mom and my younger sisters came to see the Christmas lights in Dyker Heights and not only did we experience their phenomenal pizza, we got phenomenal service. I've been here several times in my memory, but this time we were welcomed in out of the cold by the owner who was supervising the restaurant from the dining area and we received warm service from both him and the staff. He told us to come in from the cold outside area we were sitting in because many tables inside were free, and then initiated conversation with us. He then exhibited old-style New York Italian hospitality by offering us an extra pie, ice cream, and drinks for both the adults of the group (my mother and I) and the kids. I have never felt more welcomed in a restaurant than here. The owner and the staff are both top notch. The pizza is genuinely to die for and occupies a fond place in my memory from childhood but is actually that good in adulthood as well. If you are in the neighborhood visit because this place deserves business. It survived covid because of its reputation and I wish many years upon it still. God Bless“
“A vibey restaurant that screams NYC from the effortlessly casual yet attentive service, killer cocktails, cosy but vibrant atmosphere and slamming pizza. The pizza is a thin and cracker style bar pie but with enough body and chew to bring the bite satisfaction. Toppings are quality and cooked perfectly.Cacio e Pepe was a bit lacking in oomph with a light cheese and black pepper taste so would not order again.Cocktails were so delicious - get the bar experts to whip you up something off-menu and you will be happy.Notes about scoring:1 star = Memorably awful2 star = Not good and would avoid3 star = Good but would not return4 star = Recommended5 star = Incredible and must visit if you can“
“We looked up this place before our trip to NY and it didn't disappoint. The service we received and the food was phenomenal. We sat close to the oven so we watched the chef work his magic on the dough. We also salivated ?? as we watched every sizzling pizza emerge from the oven. They made a small error with our order and insisted on making a brand new pizza and giving us drinks "on the house". Superb Customer Service! The homemade ginger ale was fantastic!!The Garlic Bread with cheese was soooo good with Tomato Sauce on the side ??.This is a must stop for our next visit to NYC.“
“This place is so much fun to go on a date or with a group friends. Such a fun spot , and our Axe expert PJ was absolutely awesome . He was so helpful since some of my friends had zero experience holding an axe . PJ is definitely a good vibe !They have a good selection of beer and hard seltzers. Must try the Pretzel, delishhh !Also, good board games meanwhile you wait for your turn to play Axe . Lol“
“Definitely worth the half-hour wait. The employee was a rushing us a little bit but I can understand because of the long line which is why I have it a 4 star for service. I highly recommend trying the plain cheese and pepperoni pizzas, but steer clear of the white sauce option. The pizzas were crispy and with an amazing flavor. If you find yourself in the area, it's a definite must-try!“
“Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“
“So happy with this restaurant! The dishes were plated in such delicate and detailed way, perfect for get you ready to get into all the flavors. The Grandma-style pizza is a must! And arrive just in time! Also it’s such a great place with an amazing staff and the perfect ambiance; the brunch bartender suggested the best cocktails keep in mind my preferences about liquor.Definetly Loring Place continue show dishes full of flavor, color and an open invitation to come back for more.“
“A wonderful tomato sauce penne fish complete with mozzarella cubes and fresh basil. Noting ordinary-- freshly made with great ingredients. And I came on a cold, rainy evening by myself snd felt very comfortable i will return with friends and family.Dietary restrictions: Nice options for GF diners.“
“probably the best pizza in new york city. the food was great, we tried 3 different options (and yes, we exchanged slices), they were all to die for. we ordered the spinaci salad and it was the best salad i’ve ever had. note: one salad is not enough to share since it is so good.“
“Even though I grew up in LI I never liked NY triangle slices. I always ate Sicilian slices. Detroit style is an ever better version of a square pie with cheesy crusty sides. Insanely good! Ace’s is the only one I have had in NYC and it lived up to the best I have had out of state. It’s also a cool retro atmosphere. Would definitely come here again to try more pies. I had the burrata and it was spicy and delicious!“
“I love this place. My grandchildren ask to go for the brick oven pizza, chicken Milanese, meatball and spaghetti with lemon.Alessandro handles the bar beautifully and Sara is a lovely server. They run a professional and very friendly place. Food is terrific and they go the extra mile for families.“
“A New York Institution IMHO. Amazing pizza, great beer, cool vibes, friendly & knowledgeable staff, to-go counter, seasonal outdoor area. Indoor seating may feel claustrophobic to some. They might make you a pizza no longer on the menu ?, 2/5 success rate.“
“I was up and down about buying this pizza because of the cost...HOWEVER, I thought I'd give it a try. It arrived today...Man. REAL PIZZA after 20 years of being GF. It was delicious! I've order online frozen items (cookies, pizza, apps etc) before and this was, by far, the best delivery result. Frozen solid, minimal waste and even the GF taramisu I was nervous about experienced no thawing. It was supposed to be for someone else but oops, so good my taste testing went a bit too far. What taramisu?? :) I ordered 3 GF pizzas and have only tried the sausage and mushroom so far. The crust edge was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle while the pizza itself cooked up nicely. I like mine a bit well done and even doing so, the toppings didn't burn. My ONLY complaint was it needed a bit more sauce for my personally liking and because it was fresh and tasty, I wanted more. Maybe a side to dip my crust in?? What? Yes. Great job Kreste!“
“food was really good but I didn't like the way they treated this man standing outside in the rain. they treated him like he was trash and he didn't even do anything wrong. food was excellent but they need to treat all customers the same. treat the tourists the same as the homebodies!!!!“
“La Lanterna is dimly lit, small, and incredibly Italian. They have various lasagnes, drinks, and paninis with focaccia. And all of these things come together for an incredibly fun environment that I want to experience again and again with all of my friends and family!“
“Ok. This place is WOW. I’ve had Detroit style pizza before outside of Detroit - in London for example, but this was the best I’ve had so far! I honestly didn’t rate the style much until now. It had the perfect amount of cheese to bread ratio and perfectly seasoned and balanced flavour from bread to cheese to the gorgeous tomato sauce sitting on top. The sauce was cooked to perfection and again, super balanced. Ace’s pizza is really a must visit when you’re in the area.“
“A fantastic Italian restaurant! Very good quality authentic ingredients, delicious wine at a good price. Two visits, both times the waiter service was at a high level, no one here pretends to be Italian style, it's just like in Italy (and in the best places in Italy!)“
“We’ve eaten at several places in Little Italy but this may be our new favorite. It’s the real deal. Truly fresh pasta - you can taste the difference. We had the bucatini and the gnocchi. They also brought a chocolate cheesecake or mousse dessert that was ridiculously good. The service was excellent. Very friendly, patient, and right on top of everything. There is plenty of indoor seating as well as outdoor tables. The interior is fresh and welcoming. We even enjoyed watching an employee carve a large wheel of cheese. It’s been the closest thing we’ve found in the US to our experience in Italy. The bucatini reminded me of the same thing I had at a tiny, family restaurant in Sienna. We will definitely be back any time we are in the city.“
“We had the best time at Little Charli! I've been there for small dinners, group dinners and also did the pizza making class. Every time we have had an amazing experience! The pizza making class was so much fun and the food was to die for! Between the food, atmosphere and staff, this is place is a must!“
“FOOD- Freshly baked dough and rich tomato sauce, the crust, perfectly crisp on the outside yet delightfully chewy inside. Each bite bursts with flavor. The cheese stretches tantalizingly with freshness. An experience that captures the essence of New York's culinary heritage.PRICE - very reasonable.LOCATION -many surrounding shop.ATMOSPHERE- cozy, friendly staffs and clean!“
“Went there with my friend today. Hands down, best pizza I have had in Astoria. Order Marinara sauce on the side, trust me. Service was as good as the pizza, ladies inside were really nice. Highly recommend this place if you are a pizza lover like I am. I’ll be back for sure!“
“came here not knowing what to expect but the pizza was really good. brought my picky brother who only eats plain pizza and they added this delicious puree to it i think it was pumpkin. our waiter was super friendly and attentive! definitely recommend! :)“
“The pizza is first & foremost amazing! Im not a pizza kinda person but i could have their pizza everyday for sure, not even trying to exaggerate. My favorite is a bit basic, margarita/plain slice but they make it better than any other pizzeria ive had in NY?“
“The food was amazing. I had rigatoni with broccoli and shrimp. My friend had chicken parmesan. The portions are really substantial. We started with the meatball and fried mozzarella appetizers and were full by the time the entrées arrived. The waiter was informative and the staff was on top of their game. Very attentive. Most important, we ordered drinks, I had a gin and ginger with lime and I must tell you that the bartender was not stingy.. We had a good time and I'm definitely going back.“
“Tried 3 pies incl 2 on the in-house only menu and they were surprisingly VERY dry. The crust was fantastically chewy incl the outer crust but how do you have vodka sauce so thin on a pie that it has almost no effect because overall the combination is too dry?⁉️Why would you make pizza like the El Cubano which is comparable to the sandwich and interestingly great flavor combination but with mostly "cheese" and toppings of ham, pickle and the occasional strip of mustard but on on plain crust/bread & with no sauce or juiciness that you get on a Cuban sandwich so, again, a dry pie?I'm being very generous in my score because one of the three at least felt like there was some sauce & moisture on it.. as well as a great chew all the way out to the edge of the crust was fantastic and tasty dough plus the staff was very attentive but what's going on with the negative moisture factor?⁉️“
“Had dinner here last night, last minute, no reservations. So happy with our decision. The food was very tasty, and generous portion. Downstairs there was like a private lounge which was super cool. Definitely a vibe.? we will be back. Service was a 10/10 even though they were busy.“
“Stopped by last night and had a great experience. We made a reservation via Resy and were seated right away. We loved the ambiance. It gave such an intimate, close knit setting. The music is so cool and trendy - goes along well with the vibe. The menu is straight to the point with amazing options. We ordered the Caesar salad, VCR pizza, espresso pot de creme dessert and a cocktail. First of all, my cocktail (Night Rally) is soooo delish!! The Caesar salad is an extreme 10/10. I absolutely loved it! The VCR pizza… another 10/10! The sauce and pepperoni and a bit spicy for those who are sensitive to spice. Nonetheless it was phenomenal. The dessert was such a pleasant, light surprise! I asked if they have an affogato and the substitute was such a relief! We loved it. Just one downside with one of the employees there - she wasn’t too friendly. Good thing she wasn’t our server. Either way, I absolutely would return in a heartbeat!!“
“This is by far the best vegan Italian food we’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, healthy and delicious! No refined sugar, excellent gluten free pasta and crust, only healthy oils (no canola or soybean oils), and super fresh ingredients. Love their concept of truly healthy food. Sha, our waiter provided stellar, friendly service. He was able to easily answer all of our allergen/ingredient questions. He was the best! All of the chefs and floor staff were incredible too. Can’t recommend this place enough!“
“I had such a wonderful experience at pan. I went here for dinner after work with two of my friends. The atmosphere was chill and the food was delicious. Our waiter Rocco was so helpful and knowledgeable with suggestions and provided excellent service. We started with the cheese plate and the olives and bread. The cheese with the truffle honey was a delight. I ordered the bucatini, one of my friends ordered the eggplant parm and the other the herb chicken. Everything was so yummy and we would definitely go back!“
“If you want Italian food while you’re in New York, Marcellino is the place to be. Everything from the pizzas, pastas, and drinks are incredible. Located in heart of little Italy. And great service too. Thank you Nestor for taking care of us! Will come back “
“Sitting at Diego’s bar made me a better wife, mother, daughter, and person. He brought me back to life and shared his passion for New York, making me excited about waking up tomorrow. If Sofia’s does not give Diego a significant raise, they will be doing themselves a disservice. Diego is the reason for Sofia’s. He is the light. Go to Sofia’s for Diego… And the orecchiette di salmone. Sofia’s is lucky to have him.“
“Delicious, hot out of the oven pies in a cozy wood paneled old school spot. They have espresso martinis on tap but we opted for the wine - all reasonably priced by the glass and super tasty!Between two people we shared the DelRay (their version of a pepperoni) and a white kale pie. The DelRay was a juicy and savoring slice with perfect tomato sauce, and salty greasy saucers of meat. They have chili oil and chili flakes which only help magnify the flavors. The white kale has a base of a nut-free kale pesto with cheese and garlic. This one was a sleeper hit. I usually don’t like white pies but this one blew my expectations. We also had a tres leches cake which was soaked in sweet milk and had a sponge texture. Not my favorite dessert but it could have been that I was so full at this point.I can’t wait to come back and try my pizzas. Might be my favorite sit down spot in NY for pizza ?❤️“
“The Best Pizza in NYC! - If you want the best pizza in NYC you have to go to Pop's Pizza. I'm a native New Yorker of 50 years and Pop's Pizza is my favorite pizza in NYC. They make a perfect slice... thin crispy crust with fresh sauce, toppings and ingredients. If you like garlic, you have to try the Margarita but no matter what you order every slice is amazing and the owners are fantastic. ?“
“Food, drinks, and service were incredible! My husband and I stumbled on this place on a date night in NYC, and it was absolutely perfect for a date night! The only thing is the restaurant is tiny tiny so don't think about having a large dinner party, but for a more intimate dinner or lunch, I would highly recommend it! The burrata was our absolute favorite dish! 10/10 recommend!“
“Joe’s Pizza… where do I start? I ate Joe’s for the first time TWICE at two different locations and both times the pizza tasted the same and was definitely in my top ten pizzas ever eaten. If you’ve checked out my history of reviews, you’ve seen that I love pizza - so top ten is a statement! This pizza is exactly what I was expecting on my first trip to New York City and is my favorite style of pizza. The crust has just the right amount of crunch, the cheese is the perfect portion, not too much, not too little, the sauce is hearty with just that right hint of sweetness and it’s served HOT and folds just right! If you love “NY Style Pizza”, you’ll love Joe’s.Both locations I went to had lines out the door but moved those lines fast! The staff was super friendly and appeared to be almost 100% Hispanic (a plus for me since I fall into that category and can appreciate La Raza working hard!) and the locations gave off that chill vibe. The employees definitely were seasoned at both locations because they work fast, have an awesome rhythm and interesting methods to serve you where they stack the pizza on plates in a simple yet efficient way that doesn’t make a mess and makes it easy to divide the slices up. The variety of toppings was also varied and I’m sure there’s something for everyone. If I had to give a negative, it would be that there just isn’t enough seating, inside or out, for the volume. We found ourselves standing up to eat, but I’m thinking that is common in NYC as I’ve seen that a lot at all kinds of non-chain restaurants. I get it, space is at a premium in The Big Apple. What are you waiting on? Get you a slice… or pie!“
“Kenny was contacted on many occasions for information on delivery service. He was very professional and courteous. The food was delivered promptly and was absolutely delicious. It made my Mom's 83rd Birthday a Joyous celebration...kudos..“
“Solid spot for a slice or two of pizza. A little limited in options, but still delicious for the classic options. Plus their hot honey hits just right. Some limited seating in the back but the turnover is decent. Service was quick and brought it out to the table.“
“i ordered their prosciutto and burrata (which comes with imported burrata and 24 Month prosciutto di parma), tonnarelli cacio e pepe (pasta with pecorino and black pepper), and infernetto pinsa (roman style pizza with tomato, mozzarella, spicy soppressata, and pecorino). all in all, every dish was made with fine ingredients and was cooked well. the burrata was very creamy and delicious, i would recommend it if you’re a fan of burrata cheese. the pizza had a good coal fire taste to it and came out hot and flavorful (the spicy soppressata was tasty, but i would like to try some of their other flavors eventually). the cacio e pepe was tasty and had a strong pecorino flavor (creamy, rich, slight cheesy musk to it). the pasta had good texture and mouthfeel (firm al dente noodles). all in all a decent spot for italian!“
“What a lovely spot for dinner. This place is always great and I think I’ve been here over 10 times. Excellent unique pasta dishes and great service. Super comfy seating as well in the booths. Happy to live right by Barano, thank you guys for an excellent dinner last night.“
“Forget your search for the -perfect- Neapolitan Pizza in New York City. In my opinion, this place is the undisputed champion, serving up pies that are as authentic and delicious as anything you'd find in Naples itself.Speaking of authentic; its not just the pie's which are 100% authentic, its also the entire ambience of the location. A wood-fired Pizza oven, cozy tables, Diego Maradona and SSC Neapel decoration everywhere - exactly what one would envision when thinking of a true Italian Pizza place.Favorite Pizze:The Tarturfata, Calzone "Song' E Napule" and the Cotto e Fungi.“
“I had a lunch at Osteria Barocca and the food was delicious In addition to the spicy rigatoni, I also ordered the fried calamari. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, exactly how calamari should be. The accompanying dipping sauce added a delightful tanginess to the dish. Overall, my dining experience at Osteria Barocca was delightful. The combination of delicious and fresh pasta with the perfectly cooked fried calamari made for a truly memorable meal. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a taste of authentic Italian cuisine.“
“I was at John's Pizzeria on a Sunday with Scott's Pizza Tours. We were pretty much the only ones there. We got to try the Sicilian. This place is the epitome of New York neighborhood pizza place. The décor is straight out of the 1960s when they probably opened. They probably own the building. It's a mother and daughter hand rolling the dough and doing absolutely everything. I'm sure they're doing it exactly the same way they've been doing it for the last 50+ years. Happy to see them survive and have a little social media presence. They aren't doing a lot of things here but what they do they do well.“
