“I first went to Greg Street pizza because my son told me he saw it on Bristol Pizza, and after my first visit, I then heard it was on diners, drive-ins, and dives! From my first sample slice I have loved this pizza! They ask you if you want the Parmesan and oregano which is their standard and of course I said yes! I have had plain, mushroom, bacon, hot honey, and pepperoni, and they are all amazing, but I found I like any of them the best when I reheat them in my toaster oven which makes all edges crunchy and even more delicious!! Eating inside is a rare opportunity because this place is always busy no matter what, I ordered four pies two days in advance to make sure that I could get what I needed because they get so busy. Sometimes they stop taking orders for same day. Something unusual is that you can stop in and grab a slice of whatever they have in the pizza case, which most pizzerias do not offer nowadays. Definitely a must try, but unless you’re getting just a slicer too order ahead of time and don’t plan on eating inside.Enclosing something should be said about their decor inside their small eating area. It is decorated with some amazing posters and prints from their journeys to some of what I am sure were amazing concerts of the Grateful Dead and Dead based bands. Do not miss the opportunity to experience Grigg Street Pizza!!!Parking: Due to this being located on a side street with only two parking spaces in front and off of Greenwich Avenue which is a one-way it is extremely difficult to get a parking space although when we went to pick up and couldn’t find parking, we called and they came right out front with our order when it was ready!“

“Ollie's 99 is the first restaurant that I'm aware of in Connecticut that serves dim sum and pizza! The Chef's Special sesame chicken caught our eye right away, and it was very tasty! With pizza and dumplings being some of our favorite foods, this spot was a win for us! The kale salad was very fresh, and the kung pao chicken roll was perfect for us to split with our lunch. We had a nice sunny seat by the window, and the restaurant had a relaxing vibe. The food arrived quickly, and our server was attentive. “My wife and I went out to lunch today in Locust Valley, NY. Last July, the LVI Bistro changed owners. Marcel has owned the restaurant for over 40 years. They had an excellent reputation and their food and serve was always high quality. This was our first visit since the change and we found it was quite good. We sat down in the bar room and was greeted by the new manager, Andrea. He was very nice and gave us their new menus. Everything looked great from the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts. My wife wanted something light, so she ordered a Cesar salad with grilled chicken strips. I ordered a hamburger with fries. Rita, a waitress from the previous owner, chatted with us about the change and was very positive. There is a new chef, who prepares the food and has a quick turnaround. Both our meals were delicious and were served hot. We talked with the manager and he told us they were going to decorate and renovate the formal dining, the upstairs dining area and the bar room area. We were excited that this local restaurant was getting some loving care from the new owners.We enjoyed our lunch time and enjoyed our experience at the LVI Bistro. When we asked for the check, Andrea brought a dish of tiramisu with two spoons. He told us the desserts were all homemade. Falafel Pita made with Harissa (for a little kick) I sit down to a nice, clean location. Brightly colored tables and a jug with some delicious looking lemonade. (Too sugary for me in 2024) My meal is ready. I like the fact that there is both Hummus and Tahini sauce inside the pita. It was a nice sandwich, the pita texture to me was a little off. It was too thick compared to what I'm used to at other falafel joints. Just for a moment, I had lunch back in time. This spot used to be La Bottega (and also why I have a review from 2012 still on this page) and was recently converted into a full restaurant with a menu full of delicious Italian food. The setup is a bit odd as they took over the restaurant next door and therefore there are two doors (but only one entrance) with one side being the bar and the other being the restaurant. They have live music on Fridays and Saturdays but because of the split between the two spaces it's difficult to hear the music on the restaurant side. The hostess was able to seat us quickly even with it being packed on a Saturday night. I had heard their old fashioned was good so we started with that and yep, it's delicious...And strong! For an app we tried the octopus salad which was chopped octopus over greens, tomato, and red bell peppers. Very very good. For my entree I tried the red snapper which melts in your mouth. So good! Food and drinks were great! But out waiter disappeared on us after our entrees came out. Not once did he check if everything was good or if we needed anything. Never brought us water. Never brought us a refill on drinks. How did we get water and a refill? Asked a busboy and later on the hostess. Our waiter looked frazzled yet the other waiter was zipping around without issue and was handling the same amount of tables as our waiter. Very, very disappointing. Even when we wanted our check our waiter was nowhere to be found yet again! And the checks are presented to you on a tablet! I will most definitely come back for food, no question. I just need to mentally prepare to wait 45 minutes for a check since service here is not good.“
